Chapter 155 - 111: Amy’s Wonderful Experience and the Elemental Squeezing Method
Chapter 155: Chapter 111: Amy’s Wonderful Experience and the Elemental Squeezing Method
Returning to the laboratory, Chen Shang closed the door and sat down in front of the Recording Platform.
He closed his eyes, sank his consciousness into the panel, and clicked on the newly generated Purple entry: Gourd Little Vajra.
The moment the entry was opened, a massive Power surged from the panel like a tidal wave, instantly flooding every inch of his body.
Chen Shang ran a quick check. First were his base stats: his Constitution had jumped from 115 to 182, his Spirit from 122 to 185, and his Magic Power from 324 to 394.
This instantaneous spike made him clench his fists. His knuckles let out a muffled CRACK CRACK CRACK—a heavy, textured sound. He exhaled; the air squeezed out of his lungs, kicking up a scorching white mist.
The Gourd Little Vajra brought an all-around enhancement. His Power, speed, perception, recovery, and even the resilience of his Spiritual Force Field were boosted significantly.
He couldn’t underestimate this increase of a few dozen points. According to the twenty-fold leverage ratio of the Water-Fire Heaven Extremes, every extra point of Magic Power equated to twenty extra degrees of Attack Power. A few dozen points multiplied twenty times meant a difference of over a thousand degrees.
However, feeling the Power still slowly flowing within his body, Chen Shang knew he was far from his limit.
It wasn’t that the Gourd Little Vajra had reached its limit, but rather that his body had reached its limit. After receiving the infusion of this Power, his muscles, bones, and fascia were already aching and swelling, like a balloon blown to its absolute limit—one more breath and it would pop.
The Gourd Little Vajra was a massive Rune system on par with Zhong Kui. Unfortunately, he didn’t have a second Demigod Body to record it on.
He opened his eyes and let out a long breath. After closing the entry, he pondered for a moment and wrote down two new goals on the Crystal Plate.
First, increase the input Magic Power cap for the Water-Fire Heaven Extremes.
Currently, he could only stably input eighty degrees of Magic Power; anything higher would spiral out of control. He had to improve his control stability to push the cap to one hundred, one hundred and fifty, two hundred degrees, or even higher. Otherwise, no matter how high the leverage ratio was, it would be a complete waste.
Second, research the nature of that ball of Chaos-colored light produced during the explosion of the Water-Fire Heaven Extremes.
That phenomenon was related to the gaps in real time. Since the Eye of Truth could see the flow of time, perhaps he could find a way to actively trigger that light.

A few days later, Amy returned.
The little girl still carried the same backpack, but it was much flatter than when she had set off, and her Pottery Jars were completely used up. She kept her head down, her fingers nervously twisting the hem of her robe.
Seeing her like this, Chen Shang had a bad premonition. Leaning against the Recording Platform, he asked, "Are the results out?"
Amy hesitated, her voice very quiet. "They are still under review."
Chen Shang raised an eyebrow. Logically, the assessment results should have been released alongside the Apprentices. Why were they still under review?
"What happened? Tell me in detail."
Haltingly, Amy recounted everything she had gone through.
After entering the assessment world, she didn’t rush to find the assessment targets. Instead, she kept Chen Shang’s words in mind: show her capabilities. So, she first found a hidden spot and spent a day scouting the surrounding terrain, water sources, wind directions, and vegetation distribution. Then, carrying the Plague Bottles, she headed out.
Based on the wind directions and water distribution, she placed the Plague Bottles at crucial nodes. Upriver streams, wind-funneling valleys, and depressions where animals drank—one by one, she set up the Plague Bottles.
Regardless, Amy operated on a single core principle: drop them and run. She knew her combat prowess was lacking, and she would likely suffer if caught by the other Apprentices. Therefore, she had no time at all to monitor the subsequent developments of the Plague Bottles.
As a result, the pathogens inside the Plague Bottles spread much faster than she had anticipated... or rather, it wasn’t just spreading—it had completely spiraled out of control.
In the wild environment, those pathogens encountered a type of fungal spore she had never seen before. The combination of the two triggered a mutation. Their reproduction rate skyrocketed, and the infection radius expanded from a few hundred meters to several kilometers. Infected creatures didn’t die; instead, they became new sources of contagion, continuing to spread the disease across an even wider area.
Amy herself was nearly infected. She was the one who deployed the poison, but she wasn’t immune to it. Hiding in the crevices of some rocks, she relied on her last few bottles of Antitoxic Potion to survive the most dangerous hours.
By the time she crawled out of the crevices, the assessment world had already devolved into complete chaos.
The surviving Apprentices huddled together. Believing this Plague was part of the Wizard World’s assessment, they were actively discussing how to deal with it. Amy cautiously hid among the crowd, joining everyone in righteously cursing the assessment rules of the Wizard World, not daring to utter a single unnecessary word.
However, the toxic zone continued to spread, leaving fewer and fewer safe places for people to stand. The remaining Apprentices began to fall one after another, the white light of their Protective Talismans flashing in rapid succession.
Looking at the few remaining Apprentices, Amy had a flash of Spiritual Light. Remembering the sole remaining cloth bag in her backpack, she hesitated for a long time. Then, making up her mind, she untied the strings and released the Red Plague Ghost.
The Red Plague Ghost opened its featureless face and instantly erupted, detonating the Violent Plague within the crowd.
The Apprentices who were still desperately holding on triggered their Protective Talismans almost simultaneously. Amy couldn’t escape either. Her body was too close to the Red Plague Ghost, and the white light of her Protective Talisman swallowed her up as well.
But relying on her understanding of the Red Plague Ghost, she managed to hold on for a few extra seconds, making her the very last pending Apprentice to be eliminated.

After listening to her story, Chen Shang fell silent for a moment.
Based on normal grading standards, Amy’s score was bound to be extremely high. She had demonstrated independent tactical planning capabilities, a profound understanding of Pharmacy, and the courage to make decisive choices in desperate situations...
