Wizard: I Have Mythical Entries
Chapter 95 - 91: Wind Elemental Spirit
Chapter 95: Chapter 91: Wind Elemental Spirit
In the days that followed, Chen Shang’s routine became extremely structured. He visited the breeding garden in the morning, returned to the laboratory in the afternoon, and practiced manipulating the One-Element Heavy Water in the evening. Before bed, he would do his daily meditation for the duration of an hourglass.
In his hands, the One-Element Heavy Water evolved from a wildly trembling orb into a placid droplet. From a droplet, it flattened into a film as thin as a cicada’s wing, and then stretched into a thread as fine as a single strand of hair.
It took him half a month to barely manage holding the One-Element Heavy Water in various shapes within his palm. Although he couldn’t sustain the forms for long, it was a vast improvement from his initial attempts.
On the day he submitted his fourth comprehensive report, Hathaway and Chen Shang had a very pleasant conversation. Due to the upgrade of Chen Shang’s Eye of True Sight, his observation and understanding of energy circulation had deepened significantly, causing Hathaway to view him even more favorably.
Before leaving, Chen Shang used his Spiritual Power to scan the entries on Hathaway’s body as usual. The purple [Multiple Magic Springs] was still there, but it remained unextractable.
He wasn’t in a hurry, however. Hathaway’s construction of the Multiple Magic Springs was a lengthy process, and there would be plenty of opportunities in the future.
With the One-Element Heavy Water in hand, if he could extract this talent, Chen Shang would be able to undergo Water Elementalization for his third Magic Spring. Once that happened, utilizing Elemental Multiplication would become much easier, and his leverage multiplier would skyrocket.
Returning to the laboratory, Chen Shang turned on his Crystal Plate and brought up the detailed information for the Vilita Ninth Plane.
Vilita No. 9 was considered a medium-tier plane. Its environment primarily consisted of grasslands and low hills, and it boasted abundant surface water with numerous rivers and lakes.
The plane was ruled by a unified indigenous regime known as the Vilita Kingdom. It had a population of around two hundred million, predominantly made up of Sub-humans, along with a small minority of goblins, Dwarfs, Beastmen, and other sub-species.
Its civilization was at a primary level, possessing simple Alchemy and Herbalism, along with a systematic inheritance of Extraordinary Power.
The Pan-Wizard Alliance had brought this plane under its jurisdiction four thousand years ago, placing it within the Mechanical Throne’s sphere of influence. Three High Towers were stationed across the plane, located in the royal capital, the northern mining region, and the eastern port respectively.
Wind Eye Canyon was located in the northeastern part of the Vilita Ninth Plane, within High Tower Grid No. 36. It was a cluster of canyons that had been sculpted by wind erosion for untold millennia.
The deepest parts of the canyon could reach depths of over a thousand meters. The rock walls were riddled with honeycomb-like wind-eroded cavities, and gales unendurable to ordinary people howled through the area year-round.
Because the wind produced a sharp shrieking sound as it surged out from the canyon’s depths, the local natives referred to it as the "Wind God’s Breath."
A unique type of Elemental Creature resided near the canyon—the Wind Elemental Spirit. They did not reproduce conventionally; instead, they were naturally born from the long-term accumulation and condensation of the Wind Element in this extreme, wind-eroded environment. Their forms varied wildly, typically resembling translucent masses of airflow that ranged from several meters to hundreds of meters in height, with tiny streaks of lightning dancing within their bodies.
They lacked fixed nests and simply drifted with the currents. The stronger the wind, the more active they became. When the winds died down, they would enter a state akin to hibernation.
There was a minuscule chance that a "Wind Core" would condense within a Wind Elemental Spirit’s body. This was a highly concentrated mass of the Wind Element and was said to be an excellent Alchemy Material.
Chen Shang turned off the Crystal Plate and closed his eyes in deep thought. The coordinates Victor had given him pointed to a location deep within Wind Eye Canyon. Ferocious winds raged there year-round, making it a place even the local natives dared not approach.
He didn’t have to worry about the information leaking. For transactions authenticated by the Wizard’s Will, neither party was allowed to resell the knowledge or items they had acquired.
For instance, when he traded with Leia for Elemental Multiplication, he couldn’t simply turn around and sell Elemental Multiplication to Evelyn. He could only trade the Water-Fire Model that he had developed himself based on his research into Elemental Multiplication.
By the same token, Leia couldn’t sell the Eye of True Sight to anyone else either, unless she developed something entirely new based on it. The original copyright remained in Chen Shang’s hands.
However, since the Eye of the Wind Element was still out in the wild, he wouldn’t feel secure until it was in his possession. It was best to retrieve it as soon as possible.
The next day, Chen Shang requested a leave of absence from Hathaway once again. Hathaway’s stance on the matter was clear: as long as it didn’t delay his next comprehensive report, it was fine.
Upon returning home, he found Surtr squatting in the Temperature-Controlled District. The little creature buried its head under its nest and mumbled, "Boss, just go by yourself. I’ve been on a winning streak in the arena lately, and I want to rake in some cash."
Chen Shang was taken aback but smiled and offered the little guy some encouragement. He didn’t bring the Golden Crow or Luna Xiya along either, opting to make the trip alone.
The glow of the Teleportation Gate faded, and Chen Shang set foot on the soil of the Vilita Ninth Plane.
The air carried the damp, sweet scent of fresh grass and earth. It was a plane with a rather pleasant ecosystem.
Standing at the entrance of the Teleportation Hall, he glanced toward the distant skyline. The edge of his vision was filled with rolling, low-lying hills blanketed in yellow-green grass. Occasionally, a few solitary trees stood atop the slopes, all leaning in the same direction due to the constant wind.
The Teleportation Hall was situated near the royal capital in the center of the plane, but High Tower Grid No. 36 was located in the northeastern corner. Since there was no direct Teleportation Array, he would have to head to the nearby logistics hall first and catch a Hovercraft.
The logistics hall was a low, grayish-white building situated just a street away from the Teleportation Hall.
The hall was bustling with people coming and going, mostly merchants and travelers clad in coarse linen garments, haggling in the common tongue with a myriad of accents.
Chen Shang walked over to the Hovercraft ticket window and purchased a ticket for Grid No. 36. The ticket seller, a middle-aged Sub-human woman, glanced up at him.
The moment she noticed Chen Shang’s Apprentice Robe and the Starfall Laboratory badge pinned to his chest, her demeanor instantly became far more respectful. She handed him the ticket with both hands.
