Wizard: Scamming a Demon God
Chapter 535 - 385: Tier Four Peak! Terrifying [Boundless]
Chapter 535: Chapter 385: Tier Four Peak! Terrifying [Boundless]
Arrogant Turtle was an Authority Magic Isaac had developed at Tier Three, based on his Fantasy Authority of [Positive Infinitesimal]. It provided a defensive capability similar to the concept of "limitless"—any attack unable to break through his Authority’s defense would only get closer and closer to Isaac, yet never manage to touch him.
It was a Defense Magic that looked incredibly perilous but was, in reality, completely overpowered.
When this Magic was upgraded to an Authority Magic, its defensive power increased further, and it also gained offensive applications. It could be used to restrain an enemy by infinitely expanding the distance between them and their surroundings, creating an effect similar to time stoppage.
’Arrogant Turtle?’ Morgan quickly recognized it.
This series of Privilege Magic and Authority Magic had long been famous for its dramatic visual effects, so information about it was no secret to the Terra Royal Family. The problem was, they never expected Isaac’s progress to be this fast!
As far as they knew, this Authority and the resulting Authority Magic were Isaac’s unique creations. This meant that for any further advancement, Isaac had to rely solely on his own efforts, unlike other Authority Magic which had at least some existing research to reference.
And yet, somehow, Isaac had managed to advance it to the Tier Four level!
’But it’s not a huge problem!’
"Boundless... Melting Furnace!"
Morgan let out a low shout. The Force Field enveloping him changed abruptly as an esoteric symbol flashed past. The power of his Melting Furnace was instantly and tremendously amplified!
’Hm?’ Isaac’s pupils constricted. The instant the change occurred, he teleported away from Morgan without a shred of hesitation.
And sure enough, the moment after Isaac teleported away, the Technique of his Authority Magic was devoured by an immense power. The attacks from the Four Gods met the same fate.
Of the phantasmal Three Gods, only the Dwarf God’s hammer struck Morgan squarely. The Elf’s Divine Power Arrow and the Orc’s axe strike were both devoured. As for the Infinite Flesh Angels...
They were another matter entirely. As Followers of the Master of Billions of Flesh, they employed the standard Demon God Battle Skill: outright Bombardment!
In terms of pure Firepower, Dimensional Demon Gods have always been in a league of their own.
The Flesh Angels were no exception. Their signature move was the Flesh Cannon. It looked like hurling a disgusting lump of flesh at the enemy, but this lump was actually a Creation of Mimicry, formed by the fusion of Dimensional Magic Power and Divine Power. Upon impact, it would trigger a flesh-corrupting phenomenon. Any matter or energy that failed to resist the Dimensional Magic Power and Flesh Divine Power would be forcibly converted into flesh!
Which could then be manipulated using their [Flesh] Authority!
A very practical move.
If the enemy wasn’t a Tier Four Knight, that is...
But no matter the Mimicry, it was still energy in the end, and thus could not escape the fate of being devoured.
However...
Isaac’s eyes narrowed. He felt there was something abnormal about Morgan’s Melting Furnace. ’How can that thing feel like it’s devouring matter, too?’
As he pondered, he had the Four Gods continue their assault. The Elf and the Flesh Angels provided ranged suppression, a rain of countless Divine Power Arrows and Flesh Cannons bombarding Morgan. Meanwhile, the Dwarf and the Orc engaged Morgan in close combat, wielding a Big Hammer and a Giant Axe.
Although they were individually outmatched by Morgan, their coordination was seamless, and for a moment, they actually fought him to a standstill.
’A standstill? Is he stalling for time, too?’ Isaac’s eyes flickered as he keenly sensed Morgan’s intent. Just like him, Morgan wanted to drag out the fight to give his [Boundless] ability time for its enhancement.
After their brief exchange, Isaac had a general understanding. [Boundless] could indeed enhance Morgan’s power in a very short time—a comprehensive, all-encompassing enhancement.
It could even provide an instantaneous enhancement!
However, the boost wasn’t very large.
Isaac figured this wasn’t because [Boundless] was incapable of more, but because doing too much would be worse than not enough.
Knights are a melee class. A sudden, massive power spike isn’t necessarily an advantage in battle; a single misstep could even put the user in a perilous situation.
Therefore, the most suitable combat strategy for [Boundless] was to stall for time.
The longer the fight dragged on, the stronger the enhancement would become!
And this slow enhancement might even be limitless!
But this was very interesting...
Isaac was stalling to witness the full potential of [Boundless]; that was why he’d deliberately arranged for this Outer God Incarnation—which used the easily-absorbed Flesh Cannons—to essentially "feed" Morgan. So, why was Morgan stalling?
’Does he want to kill me?’
The thought surprised Isaac for a moment, but on reflection, it seemed quite reasonable. There were ample reasons to kill him, both from Morgan’s personal standpoint and that of the Terra Kingdom. And the timing was perfect.
This was a Little World, not the Real World. Although he, the Mad Witch, still had his Immunity Token here, its power was ultimately diminished.
With various factions now in the picture, Brurel was long outside the Terra Kingdom’s control. Even if it were to be corrupted, the kingdom would, at worst, face some condemnation. And for the Terra Kingdom right now, a little condemnation was completely insignificant.
The conditions had been met. It was only logical for Morgan to make his move...
"Interesting..." Isaac murmured, a slight smile playing on his lips. This was good. Only a true life-or-death battle could force them to reveal more of their abilities.
’Still, I have to be careful not to kill Morgan. Otherwise, who knows what kind of twist his strange fate might take.’
