Chapter 571: Chapter 403: Ten Years (Part 2)

Just as Isaac had predicted, the research on the Witch’s Secret Medicine progressed rapidly. He didn’t even need to anchor the future, spending only three months to complete the research for the top-of-the-line, deluxe version of the Witch’s Secret Medicine!

As mentioned before, this version of the Witch’s Secret Medicine presented no technical challenges; it was purely a matter of throwing money at the problem.

Of course, this so-called lack of difficulty was only relative to Isaac. Other Legendary Mages might not have necessarily been able to accomplish the same.

The key to this Magic Potion lay in the blending and fusion of Concepts. Although this was a fundamental skill for every legendary Alchemist, there were very few at the Tier Four stage who were more skilled than Isaac in this area.

Secondly, aside from his Golden Finger that ensured he always stayed on the right path, Isaac’s greatest advantage was that every single attempt at brewing the Magic Potion succeeded!

Although it consumed a considerable amount of resources in the early stages, the Magic Potion was ultimately created. Reverse-engineering the brewing process from the finished product made the research that much easier.

However, the next version...

...would not be so easy...

Why had no Magic Potion to develop the Witch Bloodline ever been created?

Aside from the Witches’ natural distrust of Legendary Mages, the extreme rarity of the necessary materials played a crucial role. When an ordinary Witch found such an ingredient, she wouldn’t even have enough for herself, so how could she possibly part with it for an Alchemist’s experiments?

Success would be one thing, but what if it failed?

The sunk cost was simply too high!

Therefore, the next stage of research was the true focus—using materials that lacked the innate ability to develop the Witch Bloodline, and through superior Concept-blending techniques, brewing a Magic Potion that could!

This research, aside from its connection to Witches, was also linked to one of Isaac’s budding theories about a Heroic undertaking. The course of his future research plans could very well change depending on this experiment’s outcome!

Soon, Isaac began his first experiment. But just as he was about to begin, he hesitated. After a moment of thought, he switched to a brand-new Magic Cauldron!

He refilled it with water and lit the fire. Next, he added a series of a Witch’s well-worn garments and boiled them on high for ten minutes. He then fished out the now-bland clothing and set it aside, before pouring bottle after bottle of Witch body fluids—all of varying colors and consistencies—into the Magic Cauldron.

Next, Huo Yunjing!

Isaac picked up a brand-new long ladle and began to stir the Magic Cauldron continuously. He would periodically toss in various other ingredients, all of which, without exception, had an extremely intimate connection to a Witch.

They were either personal items or bodily fluids, and there was even a Mysterious rod that had been in "negative-distance contact" with a Witch!

As he tossed these various Witch-related items—each one a priceless treasure to enthusiasts with particular hobbies—into the Magic Cauldron and stirred, Isaac couldn’t help but marvel. ’The Wizard who brought about the Great Creation that is the Cabin in the Woods is truly worthy of being called great!’

’Without the Cabin in the Woods, not only would these materials be hard to collect, but even if I did manage to get them all, I’d easily be—no, I’d *definitely* be—branded a pervert!’

’But the biggest hurdle would definitely be gathering the ingredients. Without the Cabin in the Woods, where would I find so many deviant Witches willing to sell their personal, or even *inserted*, effects?’

Time slowly passed. More and more Witch-related items were tossed into the Magic Cauldron by Isaac. But as these "delicacies"—in the eyes of some—went into the pot one by one, the percentage visible only to Isaac barely nudged upward.

So far, it had only climbed from three percent to nine percent. A meager six-point increase, which seemed completely disproportionate to the materials he had invested.

Yet there wasn’t the slightest hint of nervousness on Isaac’s face. He simply continued to stir the Magic Cauldron with a calm expression.

’Of course I’m not worried. This particular pot is a Magic Potion for developing the bloodlines of Tier Two Upper Position and Tier Three Witches. How could that pile of "trash" I’ve just thrown in possibly be effective for Witches of that Level?’

This was all just the "broth base." It still lacked the Concept of a High Position Witch to be fully activated and gain the power to develop the Witch Bloodline.

Legendary Magic Potions were famous for seeming to violate the law of conservation of energy—one could often use low-energy materials to concoct potions effective against even High Tier experts. In reality, however, they didn’t defy energy conservation at all.

It was because legendary Magic Potions operated on the plane of Concepts; therefore, the conservation of energy also occurred at the conceptual level.

Thus, in addition to all the simple items from Low Tier Witches, the Magic Potion Isaac was currently brewing required one more thing: a personal item from a High Tier Witch.

"Tsk, tsk. Witches really know how to make money," Isaac lamented for what felt like the hundredth time. Then, a small pair of purple panties, still slightly damp, materialized from the Void and drifted down into the Magic Cauldron.

The instant that small piece of fabric dropped in, the success rate visible to Isaac skyrocketed!

It shot straight to sixty-eight percent!

That’s right. This was no Ordinary pair of panties!

These belonged to a Tier Four Witch!

Isaac wasn’t sure why such an item would even appear in the Witch materials shop in the Cabin in the Woods. He could only surmise that Witches were a wild bunch.

Of course, while he didn’t fully comprehend the content of their "games," Isaac was quite accepting of their Mental State. ’With childhoods that unfortunate,’ he thought, ’it’s only natural for some deviancy to emerge.’

After the panties dropped into the Magic Cauldron, the success rate spiked dramatically before settling into a slow, steady climb. Seeing this, Isaac nodded to himself. ’This proves my initial calculations were correct.’ He paused. ’But... things should never go this smoothly...’
