Chapter 1034 - 859: Path of Divine Revelation (2)

The Bryan Clan, though also a bloodline family, isn’t as arrogant as the Blood Gold Clan. I’ve met Annabelle a few times, and although she’s a typical noble lady, she at least speaks and behaves with decency."

"The feud between the Blood Gold Clan and the Bryan Clan is just one of the many variables on the Path of Divine Revelation." Vera pulled the conversation back on track, taking out a thin document from the Space Ring, its cover bearing the thorny vine emblem of the Thorn Holy Tower. "The real reason that causes all forces to go all out is far more profound than personal grudges. After the plane ascends, the map of the Wizard Plane will be fundamentally reconstructed. Currently, this world has only four continents: Appalachia, the Golden Continent, Scavi, and Florence, separated by the Endless Sea, and far from each other.

But after ascending to a High Plane, the planet’s size will expand significantly, and the continental plates will extend in all directions. According to the predictions of the Wizard Council, it will split into at least dozens of new continents. The resources on these new continents, the magic metal ore veins, the richest energy nodes with free energy particles, and even possibly remaining ancient ruins, are all unowned.

Whoever occupies them first will gain the upper hand in the power dynamics for hundreds or even thousands of years in the future."

"But the control of the Wizard Council will decrease." Adrian took over the conversation with his usual elegant and composed tone, but his wording carried an unusual layer of seriousness. "Under the current situation of the four continents, the Six-Ring Tower and the Wizard Council can leverage the geographic advantage of the Central Islands and the absolute power of several Level 6 Mages to suppress and firmly control the rules of the entire plane.

But with dozens of continents scattered across the expanded planet, the distance from the Central Islands to each new continent will increase significantly. The mere setup and maintenance of the Teleportation Array network would be an astronomical cost. Those bloodline families, independent organizations, and even some hidden forces secretly accumulating power that have been suppressed by the Wizard Council for millennia will not miss this chance to reshuffle the cards.

After ascending to a High Plane, the bottleneck to break through to Level 4 significantly diminishes, and Level 5 will become easier to achieve, and there might even be a surge of new Level 6 Mages in a short time. By then, the Wizard Council will no longer be able to call the shots as it does now. The Path of Divine Revelation is the last and most crucial rehearsal for these forces before the new order arrives."

...

Duke remained silent, quietly listening to the discussion.

His fingers unconsciously rubbed against the rough ceramic surface of the teacup as his mind rapidly evaluated his situation.

The Six-Color Divine Light is formed, and all six rule branches have been initiated, but this is merely a starting point.

Each of the six rule paths needs to be progressively advanced from the current LV1 to the level of Rule Spark to have the possibility of simultaneously coalescing six divine statuses at the final moment.

He made a rough estimation. With the current pace of synchronous advancement through fusion training, it would take at least several decades to nearly a century to push all six rules to the demigod level.

Meanwhile, the plane ascension could happen at any time, and the window for plane promotion would not wait for him that long.

He needs resources for Rule Enlightenment, and a large amount of high-purity resources, to possibly accomplish this feat before the window period arrives.

Elderlands, the remnants of a former top-tier plane, happens to meet this need.

Ancient rule crystals, relic inheritances left by Level 9 Life, rule wonders naturally tempered through innumerable eons in extreme conditions...

These things might be rare encounters in the Wizard Plane, but in the ruins of a former top-tier plane, they could be found everywhere.

"One year." Vera’s voice brought Duke back from his thoughts, "The news from the Thorn Holy Tower is that the Path of Divine Revelation will officially begin in about a year, with the specific date pending final confirmation from the council. During this year, it’s best for everyone to arrange their affairs, go into seclusion if necessary, and prepare accordingly.

Once we enter the Elderlands, we might have to stay in there for a long time.

Information feedback from the earlier reconnaissance team indicates that the remnant plane’s area is at least a hundred times the size of the Wizard Plane, and due to rule distortions, there are still many folded regions within its space structure, making the actual exploration area far exceed this number."

"One year." Leon rubbed his hands, and his joints let out a few crisp snapping sounds, "Enough time for me to push the Holy Silver Battle Body up another notch. This period is just right for applying for a batch of enhancement materials from the clan."

Everyone naturally planned to participate, all eager and ready.

After the meeting, they each said their goodbyes at the tavern entrance.

Duke returned alone to his dormitory in Zone 7, sat down at his desk, leaned back in his chair, and contemplated with closed eyes.

The foundation of the Level 3 Initial Stage is still unstable.

The Six-Color Divine Light has been tested a few times in the Light God Court, and its power indeed far surpasses the Four-Color Divine Light, but each release places an extremely heavy burden on his Spiritual Sea. The fusion repulsion of the six rules exponentially increases, and with his current magic power reserves and spiritual power intensity, the duration of maintaining the Six-Color Divine Light is very limited.

If he can break through to the Level 3 Middle Stage before entering the Elderlands, the total amount of spiritual power and rule mastery ability would rise another notch, and by then the true combat value of the Six-Color Divine Light can be realized.

But advancing step-by-step in cultivation, transitioning from the Level 3 Initial Stage to the Level 3 Middle Stage requires the gradual accumulation of Rule Enlightenment, and even with the efficiency of synchronously advancing six rules, a year’s time may not be enough.

The only accelerated approach is to leverage external forces, such as the Key of Rules, or high-purity resources that contain Rule Power.

Such items in the Wizard Plane are always rare, but last time in the Deep Sea Palace, Serafina casually produced two Keys of Rules of wind and water from her private vault, clearly indicating that the Sea Race Royal Family’s background is much deeper than he had previously known.

After thinking for a while, Duke opened his eyes and extended his left hand, activating the Wizard’s Mark.

His spiritual power extended along the imprint’s path, catching the blue anchor point at the other end in the void.

It was Serafina’s mark.

"Serafina," Duke compressed his spiritual power fluctuations into a very concise message, "I need your help, the Key of Rules, or high-purity resources containing Rule Power, as many as possible. If it’s convenient, I hope to receive the first batch as soon as possible."

After sending the message, the response from the other side came almost without a long interval.

When Serafina’s spiritual power transmitted through the Wizard’s Mark, it still carried the unique gentle and soft quality of the deep sea, but her words were as decisive and efficient as ever: "Understood, where are you? Central Islands? I’ll come directly to you. Conveniently, the Sea Race and the Wizard Council have a few agreements to renew, so I can do it through official channels and won’t cause you any trouble."

...

A few days later, the Teleportation Hall in Zone 7 of the Central Islands welcomed a group of special visitors.

Although the official dealings between the Sea Race and the Wizard Council aren’t that frequent, there are routine agreement renewals and affair coordinations every few years, so the staff at the Teleportation Hall weren’t unfamiliar with this.

But this time was different; leading the group was a young girl with blue curly hair draping down to her waist, and the pearls and deep sea crystal stones adorning her hair shimmered with a gentle and soft glow under the silver-blue lights of the Teleportation Hall.

She wore a dark blue court gown, the hem woven from some unknown deep sea silk threads, reflecting a flowing luster like water waves under the light. The fine gemstones inlaid on her gown sparkled with blue halos of varying depths with each step she took.

The girl’s face was exquisite like the most perfect pearl of the deep sea, her skin fair and slightly lustrous, with a tiny sapphire rhombus crystal stone adorning the center of her forehead. She wore a crown crafted from deep sea sapphire coral.

Those sapphire-colored eyes, under the crystalline dome of the Teleportation Hall, resembled two miniature deep sea stars, exuding a deep sea royal majesty that seemed out of place with the Central Islands.
