Chapter 1276: Chapter 512: Stoker and Gold Burning Technique_2
"For your current development goals, these are interference factors with a high negative impact coefficient."
Though his words sounded indifferent, Ron could sense the underlying concern.
"...Considering the inherent traits of the human brain’s emotional processing module.
Giving you a day for psychological adjustment is a reasonable arrangement that aligns with the principle of maximizing work efficiency. We can start the formal work tomorrow."
Ron silently stroked the "Cooling Ring" on his right ring finger.
A faint coolness emanated from the metal, soothing his anxious heart like dew because of the farewell.
He recalled Professor Uther’s words at parting, thinking of the expectations and trust the old man had in him.
He shook his head, his eyes regaining determination:
"Thank you for your thoughtfulness, Professor Weinard.
But the last thing Professor Uther wants to see is me wasting precious time because of him."
He stared directly at the puppet’s main sensor:
"Please arrange the work immediately; I came here to learn and grow."
Weinard’s puppet was silent for a moment.
The light from all sensors quickly flickered, clearly conducting some sort of computational analysis.
Finally, an electronic voice emerged from the loudspeaker:
"Willpower strength: 23% higher than average.
Emotional regulation ability: Adequate."
He acknowledged Ron’s performance:
"Self-discipline and goal orientation both meet my work standards.
However, an agreement is an agreement. Since I had you wait so long, you must begin by proving value from the most basic work."
The puppet turned around and began moving towards a massive structure in the distance:
"Follow me, Ralph. Let’s introduce you to your first ’patient.’"
As they moved, more details came into Ron’s view.
The structure was a specialized maintenance hangar designed for the Star-forged Titan.
The building rose over a thousand meters high, with a retractable dome design capable of fully accommodating the Titan’s massive form.
Weinard’s puppet led Ron to an elevator platform deep within the hangar.
This platform itself was an engineering marvel.
A circular structure over a hundred meters in diameter, its surface embedded with countless precise stable runes.
As it began operating, the entire platform rose softly like a feather, without the slightest vibration.
As the height increased, the feet of the Star-forged Titan gradually came into view as it lay reclined.
Ron held his breath.
Observing up close was far more breathtaking than previous holographic imagery.
The sole of the Titan’s foot was as large as a village.
The surface of the foot was an overwhelming rune labyrinth.
Tens of thousands of energy circuits, as thick as river channels, intertwined weaving a network like city streets across the foot.
Besides these main circuits, there were countless secondary circuits as thin as hair.
Like capillaries, they densely covered every inch of the metal surface, ensuring precise energy conduction.
"The energy conduction of each main circuit is equivalent to the entire electricity needs of a city."
Weinard’s voice came from the loudspeaker, filled with a creator’s pride:
"And the precision of those secondary circuits is something even the ’experts’ under Cassandra couldn’t hope to match."
Yet now, this engineering marvel was suffering erosion from the Exotic Realm.
Ron could see that in certain areas of the foot, the pristine blue light had been polluted into a sickly yellow-green.
Some places had even lost their luster entirely, resembling lifeless blood vessels, dull and without shine.
"The pollution level is more severe than during my last inspection."
Weinard’s tone became serious:
"If this continues to worsen, the Titan’s mobility system might experience some faults."
The platform stopped three meters above the foot’s surface.
This height allowed Ron to work safely without interfering with the Titan’s slumber.
A dedicated maintenance puppet slid over.
Its mechanical arm held both a heavy protective suit and a glowing blue information crystal.
"This is an ’isolation suit’ specifically designed for work in the Exotic Realm."
Weinard explained:
"With seven-layer magic barrier inside, and anti-corrosion alloy coating on the outside.
Even when faced with unknown pollution sources, it provides sufficient protection."
His mechanical arm pointed to the information crystal:
"As for this crystal, it contains a complete cleaning procedure, safety specifications, and emergency plans.
I suggest you study them thoroughly before beginning actual operations."
"Aren’t you going to personally guide me?"
"I have more urgent matters to attend to."
Weinard’s tone became anxious:
"Although foot cleaning is important, its technical difficulty is relatively low.
Follow the procedure, and with your capability, you should manage it.
If a crisis arises, activate the help signal in the crystal."
With that, Weinard’s puppet quickly left, leaving Ron alone to face the grimy big foot.
.........
In the next half hour, Ron concentrated fully on studying the contents of the information crystal.
The crystal displayed detailed holographic projections of characteristics, treatment methods, and safety points for three types of pollutants.
"Pollutant Type One: Blast Furnace Slag"
The projection showed a molecular structure diagram of dark golden spots:
"Highly metallic assimilative characteristics, changing the molecular arrangement of carrier alloys.
Cleaning method:
Use a 7:3:1 ratio of reverse alchemy solvent, with treatment areas not exceeding 50 square centimeters each, and reaction time controlled within 3-5 minutes..."
"Pollutant Type Two: Tin-body Dust"
