Young Mafia POV: Woke Up As A Mafia Heir In A Game
Chapter 75: Incomplete Bloodline
"...And that’s it for today. There won’t be any other classes today, so make sure to choose your weapon arts and individually visit the professor responsible for teaching each art.
"If multiple students select the same weapon art, the assigned professor will teach all of them together. Are there any questions?"
"Professor, is there a limit to the number of weapon arts we can choose?" One of the students asked as Yuki Hayasaka finished her explanation.
"No, you can choose as many as you like, but I suggest selecting only one and not being greedy. It’s better to master one weapon art to the extreme. Although, once you’ve achieved some success with your main weapon art, you can choose one more as a secondary weapon art. However, only the top ten students can select S-rank weapon arts during their first year."
As soon as she finished speaking, Yuki quickly left the classroom.
Lorenzo glanced at her before looking over his classmates.
’There are around fifty-eight nobles, twenty commoners, and two Legacy Clan members.’
Naturally, the two Legacy Clan members were none other than Alice and Lorenzo, although no one knew that Lorenzo belonged to a Legacy Clan.
After all, Lorenzo’s identity had been kept hidden.
The status of a Legacy Clan was even higher than that of ordinary nobles because its direct descendant had inherited the legacy of a God from the Spirit Realm.
But did Lorenzo have a legacy of a God?
He was curious because, from what he remembered about playing the game in his previous life, Aldric Riina possessed the legacy of the Shadow God.
’There’s only one way to find out.’
"Status."

Previously, Lorenzo’s bloodline had been \[Locked\].
Now, it was \[Unlocked\].
Lorenzo tapped the notification, and a new screen appeared before him.
\[Bloodline Information\]
Status: Unlocked
Completion: Incomplete
\[Your bloodline exists in an incomplete form.\]
\[To complete your bloodline, you must consume the inheritance of The Silent Plotter.... The one who *@#§§§.]
Lorenzo blinked in confusion.
His bloodline was incomplete, and he had to consume the inheritance of The Silent Plotter to complete it?
This was the first time Lorenzo had ever heard the name The Silent Plotter.
And that wasn’t all. The description ended with a string of symbols instead of revealing the rest of the information.
’I’ve never heard of The Silent Plotter. I have to ask Father about this. Maybe he’ll know something.’
However, there was an even bigger question that Lorenzo had overlooked until now.
’...What about the Shadow God’s bloodline? Shouldn’t I have inherited the Shadow God’s lineage through Aldric, considering he possesses the legacy of the Shadow God?’
Now, he was even more confused than before.
There were too many questions, but unfortunately, he didn’t have any answers.
Lorenzo quietly shook his head and examined the new trait he had acquired.
\[New Trait: Hitman\]
[Ruthless killer: The sword of the organization that eliminates enemies. Hitmen remain calm in any situation.
Proficiency in firearms is greatly increased.]
’This is a nice trait.’
Lorenzo nodded in approval as he read the description.
Afterward, he looked at his Mana Capacity, which was at D- rank.
’Then why am I still stuck at E- rank? Shouldn’t I at least be at E rank?’
Lorenzo needed to break through the minor realm. He just had to figure out how.
He stared at his status for a while before finally closing it.
In his previous life, while playing the game, Lorenzo had encountered countless beings, yet he had never come across anything called The Silent Plotter.
Of course, there was a possibility that the information had been hidden behind some obscure questline he had never discovered.
But that still didn’t explain why his bloodline required an inheritance to become complete.
’Could The Silent Plotter be another name for the Shadow God?’
Lorenzo considered the possibility for a moment before dismissing it.
There was no evidence to support that assumption.
Besides, if The Silent Plotter really was the Shadow God, why would the status Window describe the inheritance in such a strange manner?
And what was that strange string of symbols at the end of the description?
It almost seemed as though something had prevented the system from displaying the complete information.
How irritating.
Still, Lorenzo wasn’t going to waste time complaining about it.
He had another matter to attend to.
Weapon arts.
Yuki had instructed the students to select their weapon arts and visit the professors responsible for teaching them. Since there wouldn’t be any more classes today, he could use the remaining time to investigate the available options.
More importantly, only the top ten students were permitted to select S-rank weapon arts during their first year.
Fortunately, he had ranked second in the entrance examination.
And he already possessed an S-rank weapon art.
[Axe of Slaughter].
’I wonder what other S-rank weapon arts are available.’
Lorenzo opened the academy directory on his smartwatch and navigated to the weapon arts section.
A list of available weapon arts appeared on his screen.
There were hundreds of them, ranging from simple E-rank techniques to rare S-rank arts that required extraordinary talent and years of training.
Some specialized in speed and precision.
Others focused on defense, counterattacks, or overwhelming offensive power.
There were even weapon arts designed specifically for fighting monsters with unusual physiology.
Lorenzo skimmed through the list.
Most of them weren’t particularly interesting to him.
He already had \[Axe of Slaughter\], whose offensive potential was tremendous, especially against multiple enemies or opponents stronger than himself.
Adding another weapon art simply for the sake of having one would be a waste of time.
Yuki had been right about one thing.
It was better to master a single weapon art than to spread his efforts across too many.
However, there was a distinction between learning a second weapon art and abandoning the first.
A secondary weapon could compensate for weaknesses that his primary weapon couldn’t address.
For example, an axe was powerful but wasn’t always suitable for every situation. An opponent who specialized in speed might exploit the weapon’s movements, while an enemy who maintained a considerable distance could make it difficult to land a decisive blow.
’A firearm could solve some of those problems.’
