Young Mafia POV: Woke Up As A Mafia Heir In A Game
Chapter 80: Organisation
There’s nothing much happened after my lesson with professor Leo Vane.
But one thing strange did happened. Whenever I walked by some students they would glanced at me before whispering among each other.
Some were looking at me with glares before walking away and some students were smiling towards me.
’...Just what is going on?’
I thought for a moment.
The next class was Body Training by Noah Wood. Since, today was first class there’s was only basic training we had to do... according to him.
500 push up, 500 squats and finally 5km marathon.
By the time class ended most of the students were on ground grasping for breath.
Even I felt slightly tired.
...And just like that evening come and I was back to my home.
"I’m back."
I announced as I walked into the living room, where I happened to find my father, Aldric Riina, sitting on the sofa and reading a newspaper.
"How was your day, son?"
Well, what should I say?
Quite a lot had happened today, after all.
"It was okay."
That was the best answer I could come up with.
"That’s good, then."
My father replied bluntly before returning his attention to the newspaper.
Seeing Don Aldric Riina sitting comfortably in the living room, reading the newspaper, meant one thing.
He wasn’t currently working as the Overlord who ruled over his Domain in the Spirit Realm.
In other words, he was available.
Perfect.
Taking advantage of this rare opportunity, I immediately sat down on the sofa opposite him.
"Boss. I have something to discuss with you."
"Boss...?"
My father’s expression stiffened momentarily.
Then, as if realizing what I intended, his eyes narrowed with interest.
"Sure. Go ahead and tell me."
He put down the newspaper and leaned back against the sofa.
The intimidating presence of Don Aldric Riina was entirely different from that of my father.
When I looked at him, I saw the man who had built one of the most powerful organizations in the world. An SS-rank Overlord whose name alone was enough to make countless Awakeners think twice before picking a fight with the Riina Family.
Even so, I met his gaze without hesitation.
"I want to establish my own organization within the academy."
My father remained silent for a moment.
Then he reached for the cigar box on the table and took out a cigar.
That was a good sign.
Whenever my father found something interesting, he tended to become more attentive rather than immediately dismissing it.
"Really? Then why don’t you do as you please?"
Of course, I could have established an organization without asking for his permission.
That wasn’t the problem.
My real objective was far more ambitious.
"If I successfully establish a respectable organization, I’d like it to receive official recognition as an affiliate of the Riina Family."
My father stopped preparing his cigar.
His eyes settled on me.
"So, you want to establish an organization under the Riina Family?"
"That’s right."
"And you expect me to recognize it officially?"
"Yes, Boss."
He stared at me for several seconds before letting out a quiet laugh.
"What exactly are you thinking, asking me to recognize an organization that hasn’t even been established yet?"
It was a perfectly reasonable question.
After all, the Riina Family wasn’t some small gang that accepted anyone who claimed to be capable.
Our name carried weight.
Our influence stretched across the underworld, and countless organizations would gladly sacrifice a fortune just to secure an official affiliation with us.
Recognizing an unknown organization would be like a luxury brand placing its name on an uncertified product from an ordinary market stall.
It could damage the family’s reputation if things went wrong.
Nevertheless, this was something I had to accomplish.
In the original game, I was nothing more than a minor villain.
Lorenzo Riina was a character whose existence barely mattered to the main storyline. Despite being the son of Aldric Riina, he was destined to disappoint his father.
Eventually, Aldric would abandon the idea of appointing Lorenzo as his successor and introduce a brutal alternative.
A battle royale to determine the next head of the Riina Family.
Every candidate would fight until only one remained standing.
And the survivor would inherit the throne.
Naturally, I had absolutely no intention of following that storyline.
I did not intend to let the Riina Family fall into someone else’s hands.
I would become the next boss.
But I wasn’t going to rely solely on my bloodline or my father’s reputation to achieve that goal.
I needed to prove myself.
I needed my own people, my own resources, and an organization whose existence depended on me rather than Aldric Riina.
That was why I wanted to begin at Golden Dawn Academy.
The academy was filled with talented Awakeners, ambitious nobles, future Masters, and individuals who would eventually become influential figures in the world.
If I could identify and recruit the right people now, I could build a foundation that would support me long after graduation.
And once my organization had grown strong enough, I would merge it with the Riina Family when I inherited the position of boss.
Two organizations becoming one.
My own power combined with the legacy my father had built.
Of course, none of this needed to be explained to him in such detail.
"I want to test myself," I said. "I want an identity of my own, separate from the Riina Family. I’ll build an organization from the ground up, recruit my own people, and prove that I can manage it."
My father listened without interrupting.
"I don’t want people following me simply because I’m your son. I want them to follow me because they believe in my abilities."
That wasn’t entirely true.
Money, power, fear, ambition, and personal benefits were all perfectly acceptable reasons for someone to follow me.
I wasn’t na?ve enough to believe that loyalty alone could hold an organization together.
Still, I needed something of my own.
Something that would make my position as the future boss undeniable.
My father finally lit his cigar.
He took a slow puff before looking at me through the thin veil of smoke.
"Interesting."
He smiled.
"All right. Go ahead and do as you please."
