By the time the next morning came, when Maimai woke up, the first thing she did was rub her eyes and shout, "Gu ZhiSheng, where are my flowers?"

The room was empty, not even a shadow of a person, only her in her sleepy state.

Sheng Sheng shouted at her from outside the room, "Come out."

As Maimai pushed open the door, she saw an endless shower of flower petals dancing in the sky.

She walked out to Sheng Sheng’s side, where the vibrant petals fell on her hair, brushed past her cheeks to the ground, or landed directly at her feet, covering the whole area, countless, as if she had stepped into an ocean of flowers.

Sheng Sheng looked at her, "Are you satisfied now?"

Above them, several airplanes circled continuously.

Maimai looked up at the floral sea, her face splitting into a smile.

"But what I wanted was a bouquet."

"Here it is." Sheng Sheng, like a magician, pulled out a vibrant bouquet of roses from behind him, "Now, are you satisfied?"

Maimai took the flowers, lowered her head, and took a deep breath, "So fragrant."

"Did you buy all the flowers in the city?" Maimai, having washed her face, was eating breakfast, but the petal rain continued to fall ceaselessly.

It had been half an hour already; the ground lay thick with petals, breathtakingly beautiful, and she couldn’t bear to step on them.

"I’m almost buying all the flowers in the world." Sheng Sheng said with a smile, "From tomorrow on, flower prices will surely double, trust me."

"Spendthrift!" Maimai gently slapped him with a smile, blooming with joy.

"For you, I’m happy to splurge!"

The two of them shared tender moments, savoring breakfast, and then turned on their phones. Missed calls and texts bombarded them like bombs, with various blessings, inquiries, and curiosity.

Maimai glanced at the numerous calls and ignored them, just took out her phone and dialed her dad back. Sheng Sheng did the same, calling Chenxing back. The two of them, back to back, made calls, telling their relatives and friends that she indeed accepted his proposal—it was not a publicity stunt but a genuine happy occasion.

In the ocean of flowers, they spent more than two hours on the phone, sharing the good news with relatives and friends until their phones ran out of battery and shut down automatically.

Maimai stood up, hugged Sheng Sheng, and leaned into his embrace, "Sheng Sheng, let’s go back. Return to Canada. Dad said if we don’t go back, he’ll issue a global warrant for us both."
