Chapter 559: Profound Yellow Origin!
The Celestial Vault shattered, raining pillars of blood!
Seven rifts hung above the Profound Yellow Origin Realm like eternal wounds, severing the once-whole heaven and earth into seven isolated battlefields.
Dozens of True Monarchs joined forces in a siege, their multicolored lights intertwining into a devastating torrent that submerged the rift layer by layer.
But that golden Buddha’s Hand remained completely immovable.
It stood before the rift, its five fingers slightly spread, palm facing outward like an insurmountable golden barrier. All attacks that landed upon it were like raindrops falling into the sea, only stirring up insignificant ripples before vanishing into nothingness.
Above the Buddha’s Hand, that massive Swastika Buddha Seal slowly rotated. With every revolution, countless golden Sanskrit characters surged from the seal, spreading and weaving through the void like living creatures. They purified, dissolved, and reduced all approaching powers to nothingness.
“Is this the true power of a Dao King?” True Monarch Wanxiang stood in the distance, his face pale, the Wanxiang Dao Rhyme in his hands flickering uncertainly.
The full-force strike he had just unleashed was enough to reduce an entire world to dust, yet it only left a fleeting white mark on the Buddha’s Hand.
Desolate Halberd Splitting Sky True Monarch’s Great Halberd had already deformed.
The Divine Soldier that had followed him through eons of war and torn through countless voids now had a curled blade and a bent shaft, its surface covered in spiderweb-like cracks. He gripped the shaft with both hands, the webbing of his fingers torn open. Blood flowed down the weapon, dripping into the void and turning into specks of bloody mist.
Yet, the battle intent in his eyes burned as fiercely as ever.
“Again!” he bellowed, swinging the Great Halberd once more.
This time, he didn’t slash at the Buddha’s Hand. Instead, he channeled all his strength into the tip of the halberd, condensing it into an ultimate black pillar of light that pierced straight toward the Swastika Buddha Seal in the center of the palm.
That was the source of the World Honored One’s power, and the only flaw in the Buddha’s Hand.
True Monarch of No Dao Extreme Law coordinated seamlessly with him.
At almost the exact same moment, Wu Dao formed a circle with his hands, condensing a mass of pure, absolute “nothingness” in his palms. He pushed this “nothingness” toward the Buddha’s Hand. Flanking the halberd strike left and right, both attacks simultaneously bombarded the sides of the Swastika Buddha Seal.
BOOM!!!
Two massive explosions detonated simultaneously. The Buddha’s Hand trembled slightly, and the rotation speed of the Swastika Buddha Seal plummeted. A hairline fracture appeared upon the seal.
“It’s working!” Qingyuan Dao Seeking True Monarch’s eyes lit up. His figure surged forward, his azure sword light transforming into a rainbow that spanned heaven and earth, slashing straight at that crack.
Vast Sea Dust True Monarch followed closely behind. Billions of streams of Water Essence Sword Qi surged from the phantom of a vast ocean, pouring down upon the exact same spot like a torrential downpour.
At that very moment, dozens of True Monarchs unleashed all their power upon the fracture.
CRACK!!!
A crisp, resounding boom, like shattering glass, exploded.
The Swastika Buddha Seal shattered. Golden fragments scattered and flew in all directions, each piece radiating a terrifying Buddha Light, carving blinding trajectories through the void.
The Buddha’s Hand gave a violent shudder and retracted several feet.
“We did it!” King Saint True Monarch exclaimed, the Scroll in his hands shining brilliantly.
But before his voice faded, the Buddha’s Hand reached out once more.
This time, it wasn’t defending—it was attacking. The five fingers of the Buddha’s Hand spread wide and lightly pressed down toward the dozens of True Monarchs.
HUM.
An invisible yet suffocatingly heavy pressure erupted from the palm of the Buddha’s Hand. The pressure wasn’t aimed at any single person; it blanketed the entire battlefield. All the True Monarchs felt an irresistible force press down on their shoulders, causing their bodies to involuntarily sink.
UGH.
Dozens of muffled groans rang out simultaneously. Under this single press, the group of True Monarchs all suffered heavy injuries.
Qi Yun stood at the very front, bearing the brunt of the pressure. His robes tore, and a trickle of blood spilled from the corner of his mouth, but he did not retreat. The azure sky behind him operated frantically; the sun, moon, and stars radiated brilliant light, while mountains and rivers surged and roared, peeling away the Buddha’s Hand’s pressure layer by layer.
“Fellow Daoists.” His voice was calm yet carried an unquestionable strength. “Do not scatter. Concentrate your power and attack a single point.”
He raised his right hand. Within his palm, a wisp of Primordial Sword Intent condensed into shape. The blade took on a chaotic hue; phantoms of the sun, moon, and stars circulated along its edge, while the faint outlines of mountains and rivers could be seen at the hilt.
“Qi will pave the way for you all!”
Before his words fully fell, he took a step forward. His figure transformed into a streak of Chaotic Flowing Light, crashing straight toward the Buddha’s Hand. Raising the Primordial Sword Intent high, he viciously slashed down at the hand!
CLANG!!!
An exceedingly clear ring of clashing metal erupted.
A deep gash was cleaved into the Buddha’s Hand. Golden Buddha blood seeped from the wound, dripping into the void and turning into a sky full of golden light rain. Every single drop of Buddha blood contained Buddha Power refined to the absolute extreme.
The World Honored One’s voice emanated from the rift. It remained peaceful, yet it carried a faint trace of coldness. “Little friend, you are courting death.”
“Fellow Daoists!” Qi Yun shouted sternly. “If you do not strike now, when will you!”
Dozens of True Monarchs sprang into action at once. This time, no one held back.
Desolate Halberd Splitting Sky True Monarch burned his lifeblood essence, pushing his Great Halberd to its absolute limit. True Monarch of No Dao Extreme Law condensed his Gui Wu Dao Rhyme into a single point and pierced toward the Buddha’s Hand. Qingyuan Dao Seeking True Monarch achieved Unity of Man and Sword, transforming into an azure sword rainbow. Vast Sea Dust True Monarch manifested an entire ocean, drowning the Buddha’s Hand within it. Nine Revolutions Undying True Monarch’s Golden Body ignited with golden flames as he threw a devastating punch…
Dozens of Great Daos, dozens of powers—in this very moment, they converged into an unprecedented torrent of destruction, crashing directly into the gash on the Buddha’s Hand’s middle finger.
RUMBLE!!!
An indescribably terrifying explosion detonated. The entire Celestial Vault trembled, and the seven rifts shook.
Under the impact of the torrent, the Buddha’s Hand finally succumbed and snapped off with a massive boom! Golden Buddha blood gushed out like a geyser, dyeing half the sky a brilliant golden-yellow.
“Good, very good.” The World Honored One’s voice rang out once more. “This is the first time I have been injured since time immemorial.”
“Then I’ll make sure you get injured a few more times today,” Qi Yun said lightly.
He was just about to swing his sword again when he suddenly felt a palpitation of the heart. It wasn’t from the World Honored One, but from the other rifts.
He snapped his head around.
Inside the pitch-black rift, a dark figure raised both hands and viciously tore at the space in the direction of True Monarch Shen Yi. Two black lines slashed out in a cross, tearing a gap in the barriers True Monarch Shen Yi had deployed.
At the same time, from within the dark-red Blood Sea, a pale hand reached out, clawing toward the back of True Monarch Shen Yi’s heart.
From the blue-grey rift, a stream of Sword Qi slashed out silently, aiming straight for True Monarch Shen Yi’s neck.
From the deathly-pale rift, a moon-white figure lightly tapped a jade ruyi, and the crisp sound landed squarely in the depths of True Monarch Shen Yi’s Heart and Spirit.
From the deep-blue rift, ice crystal chains darted out like venomous snakes, wrapping around True Monarch Shen Yi’s feet.
Within the purple-gold rift, the figure wearing the Heaven-Peace Crown raised a hand and lightly pressed down toward True Monarch Shen Yi.
Six Dao Kings had struck simultaneously. Their target: True Monarch Shen Yi.
True Monarch Shen Yi’s eyes narrowed slightly. Waving his hands repeatedly, he conjured countless overlapping barriers in front of him. But under the combined assault of six Dao Kings, those barriers were as flimsy as paper, crumbling at the slightest touch. With a muffled groan, a trickle of blood spilled from his lips as he staggered backward.
The World Honored One’s voice echoed again, as peaceful as ever. “Little friend, your time… is running out.”
Before his voice fell, the severed Buddha’s Hand grew back.
It wasn’t regeneration; it was a “reversion”—as if time had flowed backward, erasing what had already occurred. The Buddha’s Hand was restored to its original state, becoming even more corporeal and terrifying than before.
Qi Yun’s pupils contracted slightly. Only now did he realize that the terror of a Dao King lay not just in their power, but in their mastery over the Great Dao. Within the World Honored One’s domain, time, karma, life, and death were all dictated by him alone.
“How are we supposed to fight this?” Blood Slaughter True Monarch’s voice was hoarse.
“Even if we can’t, we still have to fight.” Desolate Halberd Splitting Sky True Monarch snorted coldly, raising his Great Halberd once more. “I’ve lived for so many years, and I’ve never been afraid of anyone.”
He was about to charge forward but was stopped by Qi Yun’s raised hand.
“Wait.” Qi Yun said deeply. “Qi has a way.”
He closed his eyes, sinking his Heart and Spirit into the azure sky behind him.
That stretch of azure sky was currently operating in a frenzy. The speed of the sun and moon’s rotation had increased a hundredfold, the frequency of the stars twinkling had multiplied a thousandfold, and the momentum of the surging mountains and rivers had grown ten-thousandfold fiercer.
It wasn’t his will driving it; the azure sky was “breathing” on its own—devouring the origin essence of the Profound Yellow Origin Realm, devouring the Dao Fruit power of the All Marvelous Heaven, and devouring the chaotic energy escaping from the seven rifts.
It was growing. It was growing madly at a speed visible to the naked eye.
Qi Yun opened his eyes, looking toward the World Honored One’s rift and the golden Buddha’s Hand.
“Again,” he said lightly.
He raised his right hand, and the Primordial Sword condensed once more. This time, the blade bore more than just the sun, moon, stars, mountains, and rivers; it also contained the phantom of a tree—the phantom of the Profound Yellow Treasure Tree. The tree took root in boundless earth, its branches extending into the endless void. Every leaf was a realm, and every fruit was a world.
That was Profound Yellow.
Qi Yun swung his sword. This strike wasn’t aimed at the Buddha’s Hand, but at the rift itself.
SLASH.
Wherever the sword light passed, the edges of the rift began to collapse. The moment the golden Buddha Light touched the sword light, it rapidly faded and dissipated like diluted ink, reverting to the most primal chaotic energy.
A ripple finally appeared in the World Honored One’s voice. “This is… the Profound Yellow Origin?”
“That’s right,” Qi Yun said lightly. “What you stole from Profound Yellow, Qi is now taking back.”
The sword light grew increasingly brilliant, and the rift shrank smaller and smaller. The World Honored One’s Buddha’s Hand struggled madly, attempting to resist, but in the face of the Profound Yellow Treasure Tree’s phantom, all defiance appeared pale and powerless.
Because that tree was the true master of this heaven and earth. And he was merely a fruit parasitizing upon it.
“How much of this power can you use?” the World Honored One’s voice revealed a touch of chill.
Qi Yun ignored him. He simply pushed the sword light to its absolute limit, erasing the rift inch by inch.
The golden Buddha Light dissipated completely.
The rift closed.
The World Honored One’s will had been forced back. Only six rifts remained in the Celestial Vault.
Meanwhile, True Monarch Shen Yi, who had been holding off the six Dao Kings, had appeared by Qi Yun’s side at some unknown point. His gaze was already lowered, fixed upon the longsword in Qi Yun’s hand that reflected the Profound Yellow Treasure Tree.
