[ Bonus Chapter - 100 P.S ]

---

On the pedestrian street, the man who had taken a nasty fall slowly picked himself up, wincing in pain.

Wise walked over to check on him as the man muttered under his breath.

"Ouch, ouch, ouch... In this day and age, why is it so hard to do a good deed? It hurts so much. She hit me really hard..."

"How are you? Are you okay?"

The man didn't appear to have suffered any serious injuries. Aside from the pain from the fall, he seemed relatively fine.

"I'm fine, actually," the man said. "Just now, I saw an elegant lady who seemed to have had too much to drink. She didn't even notice her coat had fallen to the ground."

"I just wanted to pick it up and return it to her. But... she threw me to the ground with a shoulder throw! She probably thought I was some kind of creep or stalker. Ugh, it hurts so much!"

As he spoke, he pointed toward the coat lying nearby, which had slipped from his hand during the incident.

Wise, however, looked slightly puzzled.

"Thrown down by a drunk person?"

"You don't understand. Her strength must come from training! Her coat is the kind that, well... only bodyguards would wear!"

The man seemed worried Wise wouldn't believe him and hurriedly explained. In truth, he didn't need to. Wise already believed him.

Because the coat lying on the ground unmistakably belonged to Evelyn.

"I kindly picked it up, and she just gave me one back throw before turning around and walking away! I didn't even get a chance to curse her out!"

"You've had a rough time. I'll return it to her. Which way did she go?"

After understanding the situation, Wise decided to find Evelyn first.

The man looked at him in surprise.

"Wow. After everything I just told you, you're still willing to go after her? You've got a real knightly spirit."

"Before my vision started spinning, I saw her heading toward Riverside Walk. Take it and give it back to her. I'm done with it."

The man pointed in a direction.

Before leaving, he also reminded Wise to be careful. Judging from his appearance, Wise didn't seem much stronger than he was.

If he took a hit like that, his frail-looking body might fall apart on the spot.

Wise didn't comment on that. After thanking him, he quickly left.

Following the Riverside Walk, he eventually spotted a familiar figure ahead. Evelyn was leaning against the railing, looking extremely uncomfortable.

"Ugh... Ugh, ugh... ah—"

"Evelyn?" Wise called softly.

Evelyn slowly turned her head. Her cheeks were flushed crimson.

"You are... Ah, it's you. I thought you were that stalker from earlier."

"Actually, the person from earlier probably wasn't a stalker."

Wise recalled the man's miserable complaints from before.

Evelyn frowned and asked, angrily, "How do you know that person wasn't a stalker? Are you a stalker?"

"No, I'm not..." Wise replied helplessly.

"Don't argue. Look, what's that in your hand? Isn't it my coat? If you're not a stalker, then how do you have my coat? What's going on~? If I'd known it was you, I wouldn't have resisted... Ugh..."

Wise genuinely didn't know how to respond.

What kind of logic was that?

"...Anyway, put your coat on."

"Wise, my head hurts so much... I've been standing in the wind for so long. Why does it still hurt so much?"

Evelyn seemed not to have heard him at all, swaying unsteadily where she stood.

Seeing this, Wise quickly stepped forward and supported her.

"How much did you drink? How did you end up like this?"

"Ugh, it was just business. Those guys kept trying to get Miss Yao to drink strange things. How could I let them succeed?"

"Besides, I didn't drink that much. I'm very sober. I even dealt with a stalker just now."

At this point, Evelyn had clearly lost most of her normal reasoning ability. Only her instincts seemed to be functioning.

Regardless, the first priority was helping her put on her coat.

The late-night river breeze was cold, and staying exposed for too long would almost certainly lead to a cold.

Evelyn appeared to want to put the coat on herself, but she stumbled midway and ended up falling against Wise.

A delicate fragrance drifted into his senses.

At such close proximity, he could feel her breathing, hear the faint rhythm of her heartbeat, and sense the slight coolness of her skin.

Still, no matter what, helping her get dressed came first.

"Huh? Isn't this my coat? Where did you find it? You're amazing! Ah... I wish you were by my side every day. Then I wouldn't have to worry about anything..."

Evelyn mumbled before letting out a few soft chuckles.

Wise had originally intended to send her home immediately, but Evelyn completely misunderstood his intentions.

"Are you going home? I don't want to go home. If I go home, today will be over. Hmm... What should we drink next?"

"...Drink? You're not drinking anymore," Wise said, firmly.

"I want to drink! Look how much I've already had. I can't just stop now."

Wise tried to stop her, but he couldn't win against Evelyn repeatedly chanting, "I want to drink, I want to drink."

Her stubborn yet oddly coquettish attitude left him with little choice but to play along for the moment.

Still, it was already late. The best he could do was take her to a nearby convenience store.

Fortunately, there was no rule about what she had to drink.

And considering how muddled she was, hot milk would probably do the trick.

"What is this? Warm, sweet, and a little thick..."

"It's a new drink with a very special flavor," Wise said, handing it to her.

"Okay, then cheers!"

Completely unaware of anything suspicious, Evelyn happily took a sip.

"It really does have a unique flavor. It's completely different from anything I've had before."

"Is it good?"

"It's good. You should drink with me."

Wise had only intended to test whether Evelyn still had any sobriety left, yet somehow he ended up being dragged into drinking with her.

"After this, we're going back to rest."

Using the same tone one might use to coax a child, Wise gently tried to convince her.

"Are you tired? But I still feel great! Ah... I just said that, and now I feel a little lightheaded. This new drink is amazing."

Whether it was the hot milk or simply exhaustion finally catching up to her, Evelyn's eyelids began drooping. She rubbed her forehead and swayed slightly.

"Alright then, let's go rest," Wise said.

"But you drank too, so you need to rest as well."

"Mhm. I'll rest too."

Seeing that his plan was working, Wise continued to guide her. However, Evelyn suddenly changed her tone.

Clinging to his arm, she puffed out her cheeks and looked up at him pitifully.

"Wise... do you think I'm being too clingy and annoying like this?"

"Not at all. You're actually... really cute."

"Really?"

"Then I can make even more outrageous demands."

Evelyn happily wrapped her arms around his neck.

A moment later, the alcohol seemed to hit her again, and she looked even dizzier than before.

"I still don't want to go back... Where can I rest around here...? Oh! There's a light on over there! Let's go rest there!"

Evelyn pointed toward a building not far away. Following her finger, Wise looked over and immediately froze.

The illuminated sign hanging above the entrance read:

"Capsule Hotel."
