Chapter 2181: Chapter 2178: Consciousness Space
"Young man, the emergence of a premium elixir signifies that your creation of this new potion has succeeded. Why not give it a name? Every pharmacist bestows a name upon their new elixir, and that name will be passed down for generations. It is the pharmacist’s right and honor," Zhuge Cai Zhe said earnestly.
"A name?" Lin Tian was slightly taken aback. The old man’s words instilled a sense of ceremony in his heart.
After thinking for a while, Lin Tian made his decision, "To purify heart demons, achieve pure serenity, and return to one’s true self. Let’s call it the Heart Cleansing Pill."
"Heart Cleansing Pill, simple and clear, a good name. The world now has one more elixir," Ling Xuesong said joyfully, happy to have witnessed it.
"Successfully refining the Heart Cleansing Pill is largely due to the help from both seniors. I sincerely thank you," Lin Tian said earnestly, with a respectful bow.
Whether it was the Bronze Tripod, high-quality water source, or the most crucial herbs, both had indeed provided significant assistance. Especially Zhuge Cai Zhe, without his Red Fungus and Nameless Root, there would be no Heart Cleansing Pill.
The two old men, on the contrary, felt a bit shy and chuckled, "We are already satisfied to witness the birth of a new elixir. Nothing else matters."
After chatting for a while, the three of them went their separate ways.
In the room, Lin Tian held the elixir and carefully examined it as if appreciating a piece of art.
"Master, are you admiring the artwork you created?" Sword Spirit asked curiously.
"No, I’m wondering whether to swallow it whole or chew it first," Lin Tian responded seriously, entirely unpredictable.
Without waiting for Sword Spirit’s reply, Lin Tian had already tossed the elixir into his mouth. Just as he was about to swallow, the pill dissolved quickly.
A peculiar aura descended from his throat, passed through Dan Zhong, Shenque, and Qi Sea Dantian, traversed Hui Yin, then ascended along the spine, passed through Houzhen, crossed Baihui, and finally descended slightly to reach the Mud Pill Palace.
A faint rumble echoed in his mind, as if morning and evening bells were tolling directly to the heavens, dispersing all fogs. Lin Tian closed his eyes, feeling as if he was on a calm lake, neither sinking nor floating, as gentle as water.
"The Black Tortoise remains still, the divine spirit does not perish, the cycle of Yin and Yang, life, and death are eternal..." Lin Tian silently recited the Xuanwu Meditation Mantra, that wondrous cultivation technique sealed in the Imperial Jade Seal.
If the beast-hide cultivation technique was for Body Refinement, then Xuanwu Meditation was for Soul Refining. The divine spirit does not perish, meaning the Primordial Spirit does not perish!
For the first time, Lin Tian felt that his soul seemed to exist independently, situated in a void space. With each recitation of the Xuanwu Meditation Mantra, this sensation grew stronger.
A peculiar aura gathered from all directions, merging into the soul, which, like a seed, absorbed the dew and began to take root and sprout. This was new life and strength.
Lin Tian wandered in the boundless void, and suddenly, a point of light appeared ahead, like a beacon, drawing him towards it.
The closer he got, the larger the light became, until eventually, Lin Tian discovered it was a light ring. Inside the light ring was a darkness so dense that even light could not penetrate.
Taking a step into the light ring, he felt weightless, followed by a dizzying whirl. Once stable, the darkness had dissipated, and a dim glow surrounded him.
Squinting as he looked around, Lin Tian realized he seemed to be in a room filled with various strange items—porcelain jars, stones, wood, and some unidentifiable objects.
Frowning, Lin Tian reached towards a porcelain jar. As soon as his fingertips touched the porcelain, his head suddenly rang with a boom, followed by intense pain.
"Ah..." Lin Tian exclaimed quietly, clutching his head. The surroundings disappeared, and the sensation of controlling his body returned.
He opened his eyes, saw the oil lamp on the table, and completely woke up.
"What happened? My head feels like it’s going to explode. And what were those things..." Lin Tian muttered to himself, tapping his still-dizzy and aching head.
"What did you see, Master?" Sword Spirit asked curiously.
Recollecting, Lin Tian said, "A room, a large room filled with things, jars, and bottles, possibly herbs and minerals. At first glance, I thought I’d entered the Zhang Family’s warehouse."
"Master, could it be that you fell asleep while cultivating and was just dreaming? Or perhaps a nightmare," Sword Spirit suggested cautiously, whispering to avoid angering Lin Tian.
"Nightmare, my foot! I can tell the difference between dreaming and reality. The scene was incredibly real. I even touched a porcelain jar, but then the headache struck, and everything vanished, pulling me out of meditation," Lin Tian affirmed with certainty.
"Could it be that your spiritual power has increased, and your divine sense inadvertently crossed into a specific time-space, like the Netherworld? The Netherworld and the Human Realm are two different spaces, and they’re surely not completely isolated but connected by spatial rifts."
Your consciousness might have accidentally crossed a rift, entering the Netherworld and witnessing a scene there. From what I know, the history of Huaxia includes some enlightened monks whose Primordial Spirits wandered the thirty-three heavens while in meditation," Sword Spirit stated matter-of-factly.
Lin Tian curled his lips, skeptical, "Where did you learn such nonsense? Why does it sound familiar?"
"From Old Man Ling’s comic book," Sword Spirit admitted candidly.
"Damn, I thought I’d heard it somewhere before. It turns out to be from Senior Ling’s comic book. Using comic book theories to fool me," Lin Tian almost lost his temper, nearly pulling Sword Spirit out for a roasting over purple flames.
Sword Spirit seemed to sense Lin Tian’s intent and shrank back, trying to justify softly, "I think it’s quite reasonable. The comic book’s author must have read old texts on cultivation; otherwise, how could they write so vividly?"
"You do have a point. Many have read myths and legends, as well as various classics, but most treat them as stories without realizing some truths lie within those myths," Lin Tian agreed with Sword Spirit’s view.
"So you agree with my explanation, Master?" Sword Spirit asked excitedly.
Lin Tian closed his eyes, recalling the scene. Then he said, "What you said makes sense. My consciousness once inadvertently entered the Inner energy space, where Taiyin Xuan Qi resides, but I’m sure this time I entered a different space."
"Master, now that you mention it, I do recall an unusual energy fluctuation appearing suddenly but very subtly, disappearing quickly. I didn’t pay attention back then, but now I think it might be related to what happened to you," Sword Spirit suddenly remarked.
"Energy fluctuation?" Lin Tian’s heart stirred, and he inquired, "Where was the source of the fluctuation?"
Sword Spirit was sensitive to energy, and if it could locate the source of the fluctuation, it might help unravel the mystery of the recent consciousness journey.
