Amon stared at the young man standing inside the classroom.

He looked to be around Amon’s age, with neatly styled black hair and pale skin that seemed unnatural.

His crimson eyes were partially hidden behind a relaxed smile, giving him a strangely charming appearance.

’...What the hell is a vampire doing here?’ Amon’s eyes narrowed slightly.

He had already suspected that vampires were operating inside the capital, but seeing one openly attending Royal University was something he hadn’t expected.

Amon turned around and stopped one of the students who was walking past him.

"Hey."

The student stopped and looked at him.

"Do you know who that guy is?" Amon subtly pointed toward the young man inside the classroom.

The student glanced at him before answering. "That? He’s a member of the Cordo family. Victor Cordo."

Amon blinked his eyes. ’The Cordo family?’

He slowly turned his gaze back toward the young man. ’A guy related to Edmund Cordo?’

Now that he knew, Amon could see it.

There was a faint resemblance between them, particularly around the eyes and the shape of their faces.

Amon’s thoughts immediately began racing.

’Why the hell is the Cordo family sheltering a vampire?’ The answer came almost immediately. ’...They have betrayed humanity.’

Amon’s expression became strangely calm before a small smile slowly crept across his face.

’The Cordo family fucked themselves.’

He had been searching for a way to deal with them without giving Edmund an opportunity to turn the situation against him.

Now things were different.

Amon had no idea what connection the vampire had with the Cordo family, but if he could prove that they were knowingly sheltering a vampire, their political situation could collapse completely.

’It’ll be much easier to fuck them over now.’ Amon took one last look at the vampire before turning around.

He didn’t act immediately as there was no reason to rush.

If the Cordo family really was cooperating with vampires, then Amon wanted to know exactly how deep their relationship went.

He walked away from the classroom, leaving the matter for later.

---

By the time the final class ended, the sun had already at the top of the head.

Since it was only the first day, the university had kept the schedule relatively light, with only three classes being held.

Amon walked through the hallway while students gradually left the university.

He soon spotted Seraphina waiting near one of the large pillars.

The moment she saw him, her expression brightened.

Amon walked toward her with a smile. "How was your class?"

"Boring." Seraphina answered without hesitation.

Amon chuckled. "Was there anything you needed to do afterward?"

Seraphina’s eyes suddenly became playful. "I met an old friend."

Amon raised an eyebrow. "Who?"

Seraphina stuck her tongue out at him. "It’s a secret."

Amon stared at her for a moment before she quickly added.

"She’s a girl."

Amon let out a sigh of relief. "Do you have plans with her?"

Seraphina nodded. "We’re going shopping."

Amon smiled. "Then go have fun. I’ll head home."

Seraphina smiled brightly before stepping closer and giving him a quick kiss on the lips. "I’ll see you tonight."

Amon nodded. "Have fun."

Seraphina waved before walking away toward the university’s other exit.

Amon watched her disappear into the crowd before turning in the opposite direction.

As he walked through the campus gates, another thought entered his mind.

’I should probably buy a new bike.’ He considered it for a moment. ’Or maybe a car.’

Amon eventually decided that he would look into it later.

For now, he simply wanted to return home.

---

Amon arrived at the Vale family’s residence and walked inside without any trouble.

The house was quiet.

He placed his bag inside his spatial bracelet before stretching his arms above his head.

"Ah..."

His body felt slightly tired after spending the entire day attending classes.

Amon slowly walked through the house, looking around at the elegant interior. ’The Vale family really has a nice house.’

Everything was tastefully arranged, from the polished wooden furniture to the decorative mana crystals illuminating the hallways.

Amon eventually paused as his gaze shifted toward one of the doors.

....Marielle’s room.

He stared at it for several seconds. ’Should I?’

A strange feeling of curiosity began growing inside him.

He had spent enough time around Marielle to know that she was hiding quite a few things.

And knowing her personality, there was a decent chance that her room contained something interesting.

Amon hesitated for only another second before he smiled. ’Fuck it.’

As Amon walked towards the door, he opened his camera and put his phone on his front shirt pocket.

’The recording, just in case...’

He walked toward the door and quietly opened it.

Amon stepped inside.

Marielle’s room was surprisingly neat.

A large wooden bookshelf covered one wall, filled with books written in different languages.

A wide desk sat near the window with several papers carefully stacked on top of it.

Her bed was neatly made, and a few decorative objects had been placed around the room.

The entire room carried a pleasant fragrance. It smelled faintly of lavender and another sweet floral scent that Amon couldn’t identify.

Amon looked around. "Nothing suspicious."

At least, nothing that he could see.

Amon slowly activated his Truthseeker’s Eye. The room immediately changed in his vision.

Colors spread across the objects around him, revealing traces of mana and hidden properties that ordinary eyes couldn’t detect.

Amon slowly turned his head as his gaze moved across the walls.

He stopped when he noticed a spot.

Amon’s eyes narrowed. There was something hidden inside the wall.

He walked toward it and carefully examined the area.

A small smile appeared on his face. "A vault?"

Amon used his Truthseeker’s Eye again, carefully searching for the mechanism.

After several seconds, he found it.

A tiny button was hidden behind part of the wooden decoration.

Amon pressed it.

Click.

A faint mechanical sound came from inside the wall. The stone shifted sideways, revealing a small hidden compartment.

Amon stared at the opening as his eyes widened slightly.

A fascinated smile slowly spread across his face.

Inside the vault sat a neat collection of items that had nothing to do her profession.

A black leather dog collar with a small silver tag rested on top of a folded silk cloth.

Next to it were several pairs of soft restraints, a thin riding crop, a blindfold, and a few other carefully arranged toys clearly meant for someone who enjoyed being on the receiving end.

Everything looked expensive but unused.

A fascinated smile slowly spread across Amon’s face.

"Well, well..."

He reached in and picked up the dog collar, turning it over in his fingers as he examined it.

"Amon?"

Marielle’s voice came from behind him.
