Professor Adrian looked across the classroom, allowing the last traces of heat from the fire tornado to disappear before he continued.

"Before we begin, there is something you need to understand about affinities."

He walked slowly toward the center of the classroom, keeping his hands behind his back as the students focused on him.

"An affinity is simply the result of mana being refined into a particular form." He raised one hand and allowed a faint stream of mana to gather around his fingers.

"Fire, water, wind, earth, lightning, ice... all of them are ultimately created from the same base."

Several students nodded while Amon listened carefully.

Professor Adrian continued. "If everything is made from the same source, then naturally, you may wonder something."

He pointed toward one of the students sitting near the front. "Can you simply change the output?"

The student hesitated before answering. "Maybe?"

Professor Adrian shook his head.

"No." He closed his hand, causing the mana around his fingers to disappear. "Once mana has been refined into an affinity, it cannot simply be returned to its original state and changed into something else."

He looked around the classroom. "Mana is an irreversible energy. You must always keep that in mind."

The students became more attentive.

Professor Adrian then moved both of his hands forward. "But mana can also do this."

A small flame appeared above his left palm.

At the same time, a stream of wind gathered around his right hand.

The moment the fire and wind touched, they began merging.

The flame grew larger as the wind wrapped around it, causing the two elements to spiral together.

Within seconds, another fire tornado appeared in the center of the classroom.

Several students quietly gasped.

Amon watched the phenomenon carefully.

Professor Adrian smiled. "You cannot turn fire back into ordinary mana and then convert it into wind."

He slowly separated his hands, causing the tornado to disappear. "But that doesn’t mean you cannot make different affinities work together."

A quiet voice suddenly came from beside Amon. "Can you feel it?"

Amon frowned and looked toward Nolan. "What do you mean?"

Nolan stared at him for a moment before lowering his voice. "Can you feel the Spirit World around you?"

Amon gave him a strange expression and replied vaguely.

"Not yet." He looked at Nolan curiously. "Why would I feel it?"

Nolan shrugged. "You need to learn a lot about spirit."

Amon raised an eyebrow. "You talk like you know more about it than me."

Nolan only smiled.

Before Amon could ask anything else, Professor Adrian continued his explanation.

"Although affinities cannot simply be interchanged, that doesn’t mean you cannot create the illusion that they have."

The teacher raised his hands again. This time, however, something strange happened.

The point where his fire and wind met suddenly changed.

The flames that had previously formed around his left hand shifted as the wind moved through the opposite side.

In the next instant, fire came from his left hand while wind flowed from his right.

The two elements crossed through the space between his hands before merging into another controlled tornado.

Several students gasped.

Even Amon couldn’t hide his surprise. ’His mana control is incredible.’

He was manipulating their movement so precisely that it created the appearance of an exchange.

Professor Adrian dismissed the spell before walking toward the whiteboard.

He picked up a marker and turned toward the class. "That is the foundation of Multi-Element Synchronization."

He began writing several diagrams across the board. "I’ll teach you the basics first."

His smile widened. "And by the end of this year, I intend to turn every one of you into an expert in multi-element manipulation."

The students immediately became more attentive.

Amon leaned back in his chair. ’This class might actually be useful.’

---

An hour later, the class finally came to an end.

Professor Adrian placed the marker down and looked at the students.

"I don’t expect miracles from you." He gathered his books from the desk. "But I do expect you to practice. Understanding the theory means nothing if your body cannot reproduce it."

With that, he walked out of the classroom.

The students slowly began following him, their voices filling the room again as they discussed what they had learned.

Nolan remained beside Amon for a moment.

He looked at Amon with a strange expression. "Amon."

"Hm?"

Nolan hesitated before asking. "Are you part elf?"

Amon frowned. "No."

Nolan stared at him for another moment. "Then why do I feel like you’re one?"

Amon opened his mouth to respond but Nolan had already turned around.

He walked away without even waiting for an answer.

Amon watched him disappear through the doorway. "What the hell was that about?"

He remained seated for a little longer, slowly spinning the pen between his fingers.

Removing Nolan’s strange comment, Amon couldn’t deny that the lesson had been useful.

’If I can properly combine my affinities, I could use them in a fight much more efficiently.’

He slowly opened his palm.

A thin layer of frost gathered over it as an ice shard formed above his hand.

Amon then raised his other hand and created a small flame.

He stared at the two elements.

’Let’s see.’ He carefully brought them together.

The moment the fire touched the ice, both energies violently collided.

BOOM!

The small explosion blasted directly into Amon’s face.

He leaned backward as smoke drifted around his head.

For several seconds, he simply sat there.

Then Amon chuckled. "Still need some practice."

He wiped the soot from his face before standing up.

After collecting his belongings, Amon left the classroom.

His thoughts remained focused on Multi-Element Synchronization as he walked through the hallway.

The technique had far more potential than he initially expected.

If he could combine ice with fire, wind with lightning, or even several elements at once, his combat abilities could become much more unpredictable.

Amon continued walking toward his next class before he suddenly frowned.

He stopped in the middle of the hallway.

Something had changed.

Amon’s nose tingled slightly and he took another breath. There was a faint metallic scent in the air.

His expression became serious. ’Blood?’

He slowly turned his head. The scent was faint, but his senses were strong enough to follow it.

Amon changed direction and walked down another hallway. The further he went, the stronger the scent became.

Eventually, he arrived outside another classroom.

Amon stopped as his gaze moved through the open doorway.

There were several students inside.

Most of them were gathered around one particular person.

A young man stood in the middle of the group, surrounded by several girls.

He had a bright smile on his face and spoke to them naturally, causing several of them to laugh.

Nothing about him appeared strange.

He looked like an ordinary student but Amon could smell it.

....Blood.

Amon’s eyes narrowed.

His gaze remained fixed on the young man as a single thought entered his mind.

’...A vampire?’
