Chapter 45: Chapter 45: I Want Justice for You. Will You Come with Me?

Looking at the rewards displayed by the System, Julian Mercer smiled faintly.

The System really knows what I want. This mission couldn’t have come at a better time.

Afterward, Julian put those thoughts aside and slowly turned toward Adrian Mercer and Ethan Mercer, who were looking at him with admiration.

His gaze settled on Adrian, and he spoke in a calm voice.

"I’m planning to visit the Aldercrest Order and seek justice for you. Are you willing to come with me?"

Adrian froze.

Suddenly, a promise Julian had made to him long ago resurfaced in his mind.

One day, I will personally visit the Aldercrest Order and demand justice for you.

Back then, Adrian had understood just how terrifying the Aldercrest Order was. Seeking justice from such a powerful organization had seemed little more than an extravagant dream.

Even after Julian displayed one extraordinary ability after another, Adrian had assumed that fulfilling this promise would require considerable time.

Yet now, something he had never expected to happen so soon was finally about to become reality.

Shock and joy surged through his heart.

Adrian felt as though a tremendous weight had lifted from his shoulders. He stepped forward, cupped his fists respectfully, and bowed to Julian.

"Thank you, Patriarch! I’ve been waiting for this day for a long time. Of course, I’m willing to go with you!"

He was no longer the helpless young man whose Dantian had been shattered, forcing him to leave the Aldercrest Order in disgrace.

Today, he had reached the Heavenly Origin Realm.

He had defeated numerous experienced cultivators, established his reputation across several surrounding cities, and become one of the two celebrated geniuses of the Mercer Family.

He was no longer someone who could only endure humiliation.

This time, he would return with his head held high.

Standing beside him, Ethan couldn’t hide his envy.

He, too, wanted to accompany Julian and witness the confrontation with the Aldercrest Order firsthand.

Just as he was about to ask, Julian casually turned toward him.

"Since you’ve also reached the Heavenly Origin Realm, you might as well come with us."

Ethan’s eyes immediately brightened.

He swallowed the words he had been about to say and broke into a delighted smile.

"Thank you, Patriarch! Perfect timing. I also want to see what kind of people those fools are who once humiliated Adrian!"

His expression grew eager.

"Let’s see how many of my sword strikes they can withstand!"

Julian nodded approvingly.

Then he raised his head and looked toward the distant direction of the Aldercrest Order.

His gaze grew profound, and a trace of killing intent flickered in his eyes.

The Aldercrest Order...

From today onward, there will be no need for it to exist.

...

Several hours later.

At the mountain gate of the Aldercrest Order.

A group of young disciples stood guard, preventing unauthorized visitors and idle outsiders from entering the sect.

The duty was tedious, and the disciples had long since found gossip to be one of their few sources of entertainment.

They gathered in small groups, chatting animatedly about recent events.

Just as their conversation grew livelier, one disciple suddenly noticed something and let out a quiet exclamation.

"Look! Someone’s coming!"

Hearing this, the others stopped talking and immediately turned their attention toward the stone steps below.

Three figures were approaching the mountain gate.

As they drew closer, their appearances became clear.

At the front walked a handsome man dressed in white, his bearing calm and extraordinary. Behind him were two young men wearing cyan robes.

One of the disciples suddenly recognized the young man walking behind the white-robed figure.

"Wait... Isn’t that Adrian Mercer?"

His eyes widened.

"I saw him being expelled from the Order with my own eyes some time ago! I even heard that the Order issued a ban forbidding him from setting foot here again for the rest of his life. Why has he returned?"

Another disciple immediately burst into laughter.

"Hahaha! Could it be that this useless fellow couldn’t survive outside and has come crawling back to seek the Order’s protection?"

A third disciple sneered.

"I still remember what he looked like when he left. He was practically a stray dog that nobody wanted to take in!"

He examined Adrian’s clean clothes and upright posture before continuing mockingly.

"At least he looks presentable now. If I hadn’t looked carefully, I might not even have recognized him."

The surrounding disciples laughed and joined in the ridicule.

They had witnessed Adrian’s departure themselves. In their eyes, he was still the disgraced former disciple whose cultivation had once been crippled.

They had witnessed Adrian’s departure themselves. In their eyes, he was still the disgraced former disciple whose cultivation had once been crippled.

None of them seemed remotely concerned about the three visitors approaching their gate.
