Chapter 1315: Chapter 1315: Tension

Even though she had fought with him before, he had never laid a hand on her. Zhuang Chujiao felt both wronged and furious, hating Jiang Yutai’s hypocrisy. He always said he loved her, but what he loved was nothing more than her clean body.

"Ah, Jiang Yutai, you bastard, get out!" she yelled, flailing at him.

Jiang Yutai had no patience to coax her and slapped her again, with even more force. The pain made Zhuang Chujiao’s heart choke, and she tasted blood in her mouth.

She glared angrily at Jiang Yutai, meeting his bloodshot furious eyes.

No man likes to be glared at by a woman. Jiang Yutai, infuriated, slapped her face once more. It was as if he’d developed a taste for it. Initially, Zhuang Chujiao could resist, but eventually, she fainted, and no one nearby tried to stop it.

Jiang Yutai didn’t care if she was conscious, only wanting to vent his anger and desire.

The others, seeing his high spirits, couldn’t help but feel tempted, pulling their own women along, filling the whole private room with debauchery.

Before going to sleep, Mu Yan suddenly received a phone call.

"Okay, got it. I’ll treat you to a meal sometime," she said.

Seeing Jiang Jingheng come out of the bathroom, she said, "Gotta go."

Without waiting for the person on the other end to respond, she hung up the phone.

Jiang Jingheng approached, asking, "Why aren’t you asleep yet?"

"I’m about to." Mu Yan placed her phone aside and noticed his hair was wet, saying, "Go dry your hair."

"Okay." Jiang Jingheng glanced at her phone, then turned back to the bathroom.

Noticing the water still dripping off his back, Mu Yan laughed, "Were you in such a hurry to come out because you wanted to know who I was on the phone with?"

Jiang Jingheng came out of the bathroom with the hairdryer, looking at her and said, "So, who were you on the phone with just now?"

He answered frankly, with his eyes fixed intently on her, leaving Mu Yan feeling she couldn’t not answer.

She climbed off the bed, took the hairdryer from his hand, plugged it in, and started drying his hair.

Jiang Jingheng obediently sat on the sofa, feeling the warm air on his head.

Soon, his hair was dry. Mu Yan was about to put the hairdryer back in the bathroom when he pulled her back.

"You haven’t answered my question yet."

"Hmm?" Mu Yan looked at him, puzzled.

"Who did you just call?"

Mu Yan, "..."

Suddenly, she burst into laughter, "Don’t you trust me?"

"No." Jiang Jingheng held her hand.

"Just a friend. I asked him to do something for me. Once it’s done, he called to let me know. Look how nervous you are." Mu Yan said with a smile, "I’m a bit tired, let’s go to sleep."

"Okay." Jiang Jingheng replied, taking the hairdryer from her hand and heading to the bathroom.

Mu Yan stretched lazily, climbed onto the bed, and soon fell asleep. That night, her dreams were sweet.

She dreamed of her childhood, with her mom accompanying her on the swing in their yard. The warm breeze blew, and the sunflowers swayed, smiling brightly under the sunlight.

If possible, she wished she could stay in the dream and never wake up.

The next morning, Mu Yan received a call from Kong Lizhen, inviting her to lunch, along with Jiang Jingheng.

She had promised Kong Lizhen a meal before. After checking with Jiang Jingheng, who had no schedule conflicts, they agreed.

During this time, Kong Lizhen would text her every day, sometimes just a greeting, sometimes a few photos. The distance wasn’t too far or too close, leaving Mu Yan intrigued rather than annoyed by Kong Lizhen.
