Marcus Jarvis walked over, steadied Skylar Hayes, and asked with concern, "Skylar, are you all right?"

Skylar Hayes looked up at him and shook her head, but her body was so frail she had to rely on his support to stay upright.

Even though the truth was finally out and he should have been happy for Skylar Hayes, Marcus Jarvis’s heart ached for her.

He had seen her during her episodes, seen the agony that pushed her to the brink of a mental breakdown. He knew just how deeply the incident had affected her.

If none of this had happened, she would still be the happy Mrs. Grant, not the person she was today after enduring a full year of mental torment!

Marcus Jarvis looked up at her, deeply disappointed in his cousin.

The crowd of "spectators" was finally ushered out, leaving only the few families behind. The living room at last fell silent.

Theodore Quinn glanced at Jean Jarvis, then his gaze shifted to Cedric Grant. He considered for a moment before speaking. "All right, Cedric. It’s just our families now. We’re all connected, so no one here is an outsider. Let’s discuss it. How do you want to handle this?"

Cedric Grant looked up at him and remained silent for a few seconds before his eyes shifted to Jean Jarvis.

But the things Jean Jarvis did—the kidnapping, the slander, the framing—every single one constitutes a crime. So, my suggestion is to hand her over to the police."

Cedric Grant hesitated for a moment as he stared at Jean Jarvis. Just as he was about to nod, she locked her eyes on him and said, "Cedric Grant, whatever else happened, we were husband and wife. Are you really going to hand me over to the police?"

Her voice held not a trace of retreat, but was instead brimming with threat.
