Clara Grant glanced at Seth Quinn. ’Didn’t he just say he didn’t want me filming a kiss scene? Why is he so afraid of Mom visiting the set?’

Clara, however, snapped her head away to look out the window. "Don’t talk to me. I don’t want to hear it!"

Seth felt a bit powerless. She had always been so understanding and had never been this unreasonable. This time, however, she was refusing to back down.

"Clara, is it that time of the month? Are you in a bad mood? You’re being a little unreasonable."

Clara froze for a second, then realized what he meant by "that time of the month"—her period.

"Me, unreasonable? Who’s the one being unreasonable here? If you can’t accept it, you shouldn’t have married an actress in the first place. Since you did, you should understand and respect my profession."

Seeing that she was still fixated on the issue of filming, Seth said, "I’m only stopping you from filming the kiss scene for your own good. Any actor who wants to do a kiss scene with you just wants to take advantage of you..."

"You!" Clara had never known Seth could be this irrational. ’I already told him we’d be faking it with camera angles. How could any actor possibly take advantage of me then?’

She didn’t want to argue with him anymore. Reaching for the door, she demanded, "Unlock it. I’m getting out."

Seth ignored her, starting the car and driving straight out of the Quinn family estate.

Just as they left the main gate, a pained look suddenly appeared on Clara’s face. Clutching her stomach with one hand and her head with the other, she cried, "Seth, I feel sick... Y-you, stop the car!"

Startled, Seth slammed on the brakes and anxiously checked on her. "Clara, what’s wrong?"

"I... I think I ate too much just now. I’m a little carsick. Open the door, I need to get out and get some air." Clara looked incredibly weak.

Without a second thought, Seth immediately unlocked the car doors, then pushed his own door open and got out, preparing to help her open hers.

But Clara scrambled out of the car herself, and before Seth could react, she ran to the side of the road and hailed a taxi.

By the time Seth came to his senses and chased after her, a taxi had just stopped in front of Clara. She quickly got in, and the taxi sped away.

All Seth could do was shake his hand in frustration. Then he ran back to his car, got in, and drove away.
