Chapter 851 -823: Violent Slaying

“Kill!”

The Blazing Demon’s footsteps stepped out, releasing more terrifying energy that crazily lunged forward, twisted around, and past Pang Mu!

At this moment, the golden light on Pang Mu’s body shattered bit by bit. Although there were no cracks in his clothes, Pang Mu was as if he had suffered a heavy blow, and underneath his clothes, dense arrays of over a dozen scars had appeared on his body.

Though these scars were very small, far from being fatal, they still caused Pang Mu unbearable suffering. The important thing was not the physical pain, but the mental anguish!

The Blazing Demon’s nearly invincible offensive made Pang Mu tremble all over. He fancied himself exceptional, possessing the ability to absorb souls upon awakening—the so-called zombies, bugs posed no threat to him at all; instead, each became a stepping stone for him, achieving his state as a powerful entity now.

Pang Mu firmly believed that one day he could absorb the divine being within him, then ascend to a new realm, thereafter letting his spirit soar freely. He would leave this confined land and venture out to see it for himself.

Chen Feng was a calamity and also a blessing star. To Pang Mu, the feat that originally took months to accomplish was achieved due to Chen Feng’s offensive—his divine being inside was eventually shattered and then completely devoured by him.

Pang Mu was just full of vigor, believing he was on the brink of taking the final step. With a little more time, his power would become terrifying to the point where he could roam anywhere fearlessly, yet Chen Feng’s subsequent series of actions plummeted him from heaven back to hell.

At this critical moment, his clothes were evenly matched against the Endless Sword. It could be said that if one side couldn’t shatter, the other couldn’t break through the opponent’s defense either, but Pang Mu was still in there; if the weapon previously breached the barrier, the clothes could offer defense to offset the transmitted force.

But in the Blazing Demon’s hand was the Endless Sword—even if the clothes had canceled seventy to eighty percent of the power, some power was still transmitted to Pang Mu through special means!

One or two hits, though not life-threatening, would still weaken Pang Mu’s vitality. If continued for hundreds, even thousands of times, Pang Mu could be directly shaken to death!

All this was a monumental disgrace to the proud Pang Mu!

Just moments ago, he was full of vigor, received reverence and worship from countless people, but now, he was like a stray dog, unable to counterattack, neither fight nor escape; overall, extremely aggrieved!

“How could I possibly lose in a place like this!”

Seemingly unwilling to be defeated like this, Pang Mu shouted angrily, with resounding voices shaking in his own mind.

Raising his head, a mad hue flashed across his eyes.

“Retreat for me!”

Behind Pang Mu, the divine being’s figure appeared again, only this time, the features of the phantom were clearer, and there was even a faint sneer visible on the phantom’s face.

Chen Feng watched closely from the side, his face turning somewhat greenish-black; things were becoming increasingly uncontrollable, he saw clearly that the divine being exuded a vastly different aura from Pang Mu!

If Pang Mu still retained a bit of humanity, then the aura on the phantom was filled with disregard and disdain for the human world—indeed, that was the gaze of a true divine being!

It’s simply a chaotic chess game!

Pang Mu self-assuredly considered himself the master of everything, relying on Chen Feng’s offensive, successfully melting the divine being into his body, but as the clam and bird fought, the fisherman profited—perhaps all of this was the divine being’s plot, he coveted Pang Mu’s talent, willingly allowing the other to swallow him, while actually relying on special abilities to attach himself to Pang Mu’s soul.

Once the time was ripe, the divine being started to reap the rewards. Reflecting on it carefully, perhaps from the moment Pang Mu turned into the other’s visage, the divine being’s conspiracy was unleashed—for Pang Mu, all this was merely moonlight in water, flowers in a mirror—all aims simply directing him towards greater reliance on the divine being’s power!

And facing the terrifying offense of the Blazing Demon, Pang Mu chose dependency once more, letting the divine being’s power permeate his limbs throughout.

Though Pang Mu possessed a chosen predestined stance, faced against a divine being who lived for countless years, he was no match—especially in mastering the human heart, they were hardly on the same level!

At this moment, centered around Pang Mu’s body, vast blue energy surged out, causing the surrounding space to shake violently. Then, a piercing ‘wu wu’ sound emerged from within the blue energy, alongside the storm-like commotion, air currents howled.

“Hoo, hoo…”

Immediately, within the vast energy, an eerie light flickered, ultimately transforming into a giant serpent with nine heads, entirely black, with a pervasive raven sheen. Its stench was so foul it discomforted the soul, clearly indicating it was laden with horrific poison.

Even though this giant serpent was completely manifested from energy, its aura was as if it truly existed. What caught Chen Feng’s attention even more was that the deity’s apparition was no longer confined to illusions. On Pang Mu’s face, the same sinister smile appeared, oddly tense as he stared ahead, implying that Pang Mu was oblivious to what was occurring.

Chen Feng couldn’t discern whether the sinister laughter was an attack on the Blazing Demon or simply directed towards Pang Mu. Regardless, the situation had escalated to a point where leaving was impossible!

Whether Pang Mu or an actual resurrection of the deity, today, they all must die!

In this deadly battle, Chen Feng had sacrificed far too much. If he failed, it could be described as a total loss. The death of the Mind-Reading Demon, the Blazing Demon’s failed advancement, and the Power of Origin of the Inferior Demon and the Dark Child were also damaged. Without abundant resources to replenish, recovery was uncertain!

It was precisely because of this that Chen Feng pinned all his hopes on Pang Mu’s body. Only by slaying him and using his flesh for a sacrificial offering could he obtain any compensation!

“Crack!”

The nine-headed giant serpent raised itself and spat out a blood mist towards the Blazing Demon. The blood mist showered down; no one dared touch it. Where it landed on the sea, it corroded, bubbling, with large areas turning black, clearly containing lethal poison!

Under the spread of this poison, the water quickly started boiling, and soon, countless fish began dying!

That wasn’t all. The giant serpent leapt forward, shrouding the Blazing Demon in a massive toxic mist. From afar, Lu Wei and Wei Xun gasped in fear, hearts racing.

It wasn’t that they were overly concerned for the Blazing Demon’s safety, but if it died, Pang Mu would have no one to suppress him, leaving them with only one path: death.

“Ssshhh…”

As they gasped, the colossal serpent’s enveloping toxic mist overwhelmed the Blazing Demon, wholly encasing its body. Yet the terrifying poison was utterly ineffective against the Blazing Demon. The toxic mist couldn’t even begin to corrode or invade under the fiery light emanating around the Blazing Demon.

“Boom!”

At that instant, the Blazing Demon’s wings flapped, swinging a sword at the serpent. In a flash, the dreadful fiery light exploded like the sun.

In mere moments, the serpent shattered inch by inch, ultimately transforming into fragmented energy. The flames spread, dispelling the toxic mist like it had met its nemesis.

“How is this possible…”

Witnessing this, Pang Mu’s face drastically changed as the energy he had gathered was countered and obliterated, unable to affect the Blazing Demon at all. His mood plummeted from heaven to hell, instantly urging him to flee in panic.

But Pang Mu was already too late to escape. The Blazing Demon had appeared before him like lightning, its eyes shooting murderous intent, its cold, indifferent words emerging: “My master desires your death, and so you shall die!”

As the words fell, a golden sword light cleaved down like lightning, accompanied by an overwhelming energy surge. The sword light crashed onto Pang Mu!

“Ssshhh…”

With the sword’s descent, a small tear appeared on Pang Mu’s body; at that instant, the terrifying sword light plunged inside him. Pang Mu spat blood, eyes filled with terror and dread. Before he could cry out, his pupils began to fade.

Dead!

The once-invincible Pang Mu finally perished at the hands of the Blazing Demon!

The apparition on Pang Mu’s body dissipated simultaneously. The apparition gathered in the air, not relieved, but instead filled with anger directed at the Blazing Demon. It felt it was on the verge of success, only to have everything ruined by this Demon!

Hatred did not end with the apparition’s disappearance. Instead, a faint energy fell on the Blazing Demon, resembling Chen Feng’s initial blood sacrifice summoning the Blazing Demon, leaving an imprint on him. But now, roles reversed, and the Blazing Demon was marked by someone else!

The energy surrounding began to disperse. Chen Feng, with Demon Wings aflame, surged forward. His gaze fixed intensely on Pang Mu’s body, his breathing slightly hurried. It wasn’t merely a corpse; it was a key to his power!
