Abyss Summoner
Chapter 868: The First Transaction
No matter how eloquently you speak, it’s better to present some finished products; only then can you truly convince your negotiation counterpart.
As the two reached an initial agreement, a flash of light appeared in Chen Feng’s palm, and soon, a slender blade was in his hand. This blade was similar to a Miao knife, not rugged but giving off an exceptionally sharp feeling.
Miao knife.
To be more specific, this is a third-generation product of Order, and now, Order’s weapons have entered the fourth generation and are even beginning mass production.
Chen Feng would not joke about Order’s dominance, giving the outdated resources to traders and then profiting from them, thereby strengthening himself and researching more powerful weapons.
This might be something every bloody capitalist would be enthusiastic about.
Chen Feng had amassed a large quantity of resources in the broken dimension. At this moment, he tossed his arm, and the Miao knife shot toward Li.
“Chieftain!”
Several guards saw this and mistook Chen Feng’s move for an assault, their gazes tightened as they attempted to aid. However, Li was quicker, extending her hand in a flash and grasping the Miao knife instantly.
“Hmm?” Li did not sense any murderous intent from Chen Feng, and his actions made her somewhat curious.
Chen Feng chuckled: “This represents my sincerity!”
“I will provide you with a thousand such weapons. In return, I would like the mining rights for those rocks in the sky.”
When asking for help, you must offer some sweetener first.
Li’s focus was entirely on Chen Feng’s first sentence, as for mining rocks — is that a joke? When someone offers great wealth to purchase pebbles alongside your road, what decision would you make?
Can rocks be exchanged for weapons?
Mining rights?
Besides being able to float in the air, what use do those things have?
Li asked herself three questions in succession, and after confirming Chen Feng was indeed referring to ordinary rocks, she concentrated her gaze on the Miao knife.
This blade is about 1.3 meters long, arc-shaped, with the blade like a crescent moon, flickering with a penetrating glow.
Li’s eyes flashed with brilliance, and she swung her arm, cutting the Miao knife onto the ground. As she wielded it, the blade was shrouded in a layer of blue light, and when it made contact with the soil, it was like slicing through tofu, almost soundless, as the surface cracked a three-meter-deep but only two-fingers-wide fissure.
“Wow!”
There was a series of gasps from around, as Li, a legendary strong fighter, was capable of such effects, but it was never as smooth as this before.
The weapons at hand were mostly derived locally, with bows and arrows made from trees and ores, while daggers were mostly the sharpened claws or bones from monsters; even for Li, this was the first time seeing an iron-made Miao knife.
“Deal!”
Fearing Chen Feng might reconsider, Li responded instantly.
“If you don’t have enough manpower, I can arrange some warriors to assist you with the mining.”
After pondering for a while, Li seemed a bit embarrassed for taking such a huge advantage from Chen Feng, even thinking of personally delivering the goods.
What a good person.
Chen Feng couldn’t help but sigh inwardly, as the Naya people appear quite straightforward. In reality, Chen Feng is the biggest winner in this transaction.
Trading some obsolete weapons for crucial floating rocks; once these rocks can be installed within Order, defense will enter a new realm, and the only currently weak aerial part will be perfected, thus becoming impregnable!
Chen Feng wouldn’t foolishly exert effort transporting stones back; he has the broken dimension, completely sparing any transportation hassle!
Of course, Chen Feng understands it’s a mutually beneficial setup, and he won’t feign reluctance to refuse, instead smiling: “Pleasure working together!”
Li nodded and commanded her subordinates to store the Miao knife, also saying: “Pleasure working together!”
Chen Feng’s smile was genuine, tasting the sweetness, while Li and the Naya people, like hamsters smelling the fragrance of oil, are already drawn to the oil barrel, unable to extricate themselves once immersed.
From ancient times, transitioning from simplicity to luxury is easy, while the reverse is difficult.
Without Chen Feng, the folk here is simple and honest, each living an almost primitive life, but Chen Feng arrives, bringing not only population but an unprecedented civilization!
Strange clothing, sweet foods, sharp weapons, and many unbelievable technological advancements will all arrive here, akin to a world-ending impact for the Naya people!
Every aspect of their cognition will be shattered instantaneously.
More importantly, no one will blame Chen Feng, as he didn’t force the Naya people to accept this, merely nudging, bringing this advanced, alien, slightly dependent lifestyle here.
The unsuspecting Naya people have yet to realize, compared to the so-called [It], another terrifying spiritual assault is lurking just around the corner.
Forceful seizure?
That’s for brute fools.
Civilization conquest is the truly invisible deadly weapon!
Chen Feng eagerly anticipates that day, his face revealing an innocent smile, yet behind it hides a terrifying contemplation.
Li and the surrounding guards remain unaware that once civilization completes the conquest, the so-called Naya glory will become akin to a fallen shooting star, losing all luster.
Looking at Li, Chen Feng continued: “Our collaboration has just begun; these weapons merely express my initial sincerity. As the collaboration progresses, I will provide more resources, aiding you and your tribe to grow stronger.”
Li, upon hearing this, seemed equally curious, as these weapons alone had excited her, yet in Chen Feng’s words appeared to be nothing of significance, making her anticipate what surprises the remaining resources might bring?
Chen Feng doesn’t intend to waste more time because he has more important matters at hand. He puts away his smile, his tone turning somber: “Since our collaboration is settled, can you take me to that sleeping place?”
Perhaps it was Chen Feng’s [kindness] that moved Li, the Chieftain pondered for a moment, kindly cautioned: “That place is very dangerous, Its aura is omnipresent, and even the strongest warriors are hard-pressed to withstand the invasion; staying near the sleeping place for over an hour will lead to unavoidable disaster.”
“Unavoidable disaster?” Chen Feng seized on this point, and beyond this, he noticed that when Li spoke these words, her expression bore noticeable fear.
Clearly, Li was not deceitful; just as the mythical stag hinted earlier, [It] is invincible!
Chen Feng nodded heavily, yet his tone was resolute: “No matter what, I want to give it a try!”
