Abyss Summoner
Chapter 883: Lady of the Dead
The symbiote was nothing more than a minor episode, more accurately, an unexpected gain.
Chen Feng’s power had long surpassed his former self. In the past, the opponent might have successfully escaped, but now, Chen Feng’s strength had reached the Half-Step Epic, allowing him to control the elements with his bare hands, capturing the symbiote and then casting it into a damaged plane.
And now, the most important thing is to perform the summoning!
For Chen Feng, Summoned Beasts are divided into two types: those with significant nurturing value and those used for sacrifice at critical moments!
The Mourner was the first Summoned Beast to be sacrificed, but not the last. Throughout this journey of slaughter, the number of Summoned Beasts that died because of Chen Feng is countless.
There were several Legendary Tier monsters alone, not to mention minor roles at the Golden Tier.
The Emperor Octopus, with its formidable bloodline and modifications from the symbiote, possessed an Origin stronger than typical Legendary Creatures. Therefore, Chen Feng has some considerable expectations for this sacrifice.
The Emperor Octopus’s flesh was sacrificed, its once full-bodied form now aflame, turning to ash.
Chen Feng felt the Abyss accept his sacrifice, and immediately, a gloomy power seeped through the cracks.
After a few seconds, a graceful figure cloaked in black appeared before Chen Feng.
The figure had dark skin and pointed ears, and, as for their face, bore the distinct beauty of an elf!
A Dark Elf?!
Chen Feng raised an eyebrow. The summoned creature this time was a repeated Summoned Beast, as he already possessed a Dark Elf, namely Elwin, now operating an auction house.
However, compared to Elwin’s bewitching aura, this Dark Elf exuded a deadly and somber killing intent, maintaining a stoic expression even upon arrival in an unfamiliar land, without showing a hint of panic.
A Dark Elf lacking allure?
Chen Feng glanced at the other’s black robe and, upon seeing the emblem on the robe, revealed a look of understanding.
The emblem depicted the hand of a female Dark Elf wearing rings.
Indeed…
Due to the different belief in a Divine Spirit, the aura is distinct!
Qi Yawen Sari.
This is the Divine Spirit worshipped by the Dark Elf before him, bearing Weak Divine Power, a subordinate god of Lolth!
Like human gangs, gods also engage in battles. To vie for divinity, the combat among Divine Spirits is more frequent than imagined. For self-preservation and effectively striking enemies, Divine Spirits also form alliances and expand allies when conditions permit.
Qi Yawen Sari is a subordinate god under the banner of Lolth!
Aliases: Lady of the Dead, Avenger, Resentful Spirit of Vengeance.
Emblem: The hand of a female Dark Elf wearing multiple silver rings.
Home realm: Abyssal Demon Net.
Alignment: Chaotic Evil.
Divine Office: Undeath, Vengeance.
Believers: Dark Elves, Necromancers, Undead Creatures.
Divine Realm: Chaos, Evil, Zor, Retribution, Undead.
Preferred weapon: Heart of Ice (dagger).
Qi Yawen Sari is undoubtedly an outlier among Dark Elves!
She lacks licentious thoughts and is filled with various vengeful ideas, making her nature increasingly cruel and her mind ever more twisted.
Qi Yawen Sari lost her sanity long ago, almost entirely deranged, yet retained her innate cunning and slyness, vividly remembering every insult shown towards her, no matter how slight. Some insults did happen, while others were merely figments of her distorted imagination.
She possesses immense power and is easily angered, constantly scheming in secret to retaliate against those who wronged her.
She prefers the company of mindless undead creatures (able to be manipulated at her will) over intelligent beings with self-awareness and thought. She would rather handle matters herself than trust someone else’s intervention.
This is a paranoid god, equally an obstinate god!
Qi Yawen Sari’s church is comprised of several tightly organized cults with little interaction among them. Her priests operate covertly, usually embedded within small Dark Elf communities or particular enclaves.
They are the spokespersons for the term “vengeance,” constantly plotting to avenge those who killed, hurt, or insulted (judged by their standards) the priests before.
Moreover, they periodically massacre innocents to gather raw materials necessary for animating the dead—ruthlessly mistreating these mindless slaves.
Priests who worship Qi Yawen Sari pray for Divine Techniques in the middle of the night when graveyard spirits are most restless. They conduct smaller monthly worship rites, and on the eve of the annual Midwinter Festival, they hold a ceremony called “Rift the Grave” in homage to the goddess.
This ceremony must be conducted individually by each priest, reviving and animating as many undead creatures as possible. These beings, known as “Avengers,” are filled solely with thoughts of revenge, relentlessly hunting down their slayers within the next 24 hours with pinpoint accuracy.
The hunted targets must destroy these undead again to lay them to rest once more. Upon completing their revenge (or when time runs out), the Avengers will return to their graves.
This is undoubtedly a powerful and evil Magic!
Perhaps because of her rebelliousness, even Lolth holds little affection for this subordinate god, as her preferences are too bizarre.
Dislike love, rather favor the company of corpses? This is clearly a manifestation of being out of control!
As for her doctrine: every life must ultimately face death. Those foolish enough to squander time on matters of survival will inevitably encounter ruthless vengeance. Only the absolutely obedient undead possess true power.
Capture, kill, animate, and manipulate sinners who underestimate the might of the Resentful Spirit of Vengeance, and repay offenses against you a thousandfold in retaliation, so the world may understand the power of the Lady of the Dead.
This is a Divine Spirit relying on slaughter and fear to obtain power!
No wonder the Dark Elf before him is so gloomy. Compared to Elwin, they resemble a cold corpse, devoid of emotion or joy, anger, or sorrow.
Yet their strength far surpasses Elwin; this is a butcher at the Legendary Tier.
Chen Feng’s brow gradually relaxed; what he needed was a sharp blade, not a vase. He didn’t care what the other’s belief was or what quirks they had!
For Chen Feng, as long as their strength was solid, removing obstacles ahead for him, that was all he needed!
