Abyss Tree Evolution: A Mission to Conquer the World
Chapter 232: Refining
Minutes passed, and with them hours, and Vaelor kept inspecting the surroundings here and there, jotting down notes in his memory to make certain adjustments later, and as he busied himself observing things, Ayat came from behind him and knelt before him.
"My liege, everything has been prepared as you ordered"
"Ooh, has it been done already!" Vaelor turned to Ayat, furrowing his brows slightly, then smiled; "alright then, lead the way"
Vaelor followed Ayat until they finally arrived at the area where everyone had gathered, and Vaelor was slightly surprised by the numbers he found awaiting him.
Before him stood several hundred people, each group of them wearing a uniform specific to the unit they belonged to, and each group gathered together, keeping a distance from the other groups.
"Everything is ready, my liege" Supervisor Jaco bowed respectfully and stood near King Vaelor.
"Long live His Majesty King Vaelor" the first unit near Vaelor knelt "we are the Refining Unit"
Then the one after it followed...
"Long live His Majesty King Vaelor, we are the Array Unit"
"Long live His Majesty King Vaelor, we are the Industrial Development Unit"
"Long live His Majesty King Vaelor, we are the .... Unit"
"Long live His Majesty King Vaelor, ........."
........
The units knelt one after another and introduced themselves, and Vaelor nodded happily at the sight of each unit.
"Alright, all of you rise, I’ve gathered you today because I have something important to give you" Vaelor gestured toward them with his hand, clarifying the purpose of his visit.
The unit members looked at each other in astonishment, their minds beginning to work at tremendous speed... they had heard before that every time King Vaelor appeared and gave something, that thing completely changed the landscape of the field.
Vaelor advanced slowly toward the massive pile of rocks he had ordered brought, standing beside it and looking at the Refining Unit...
"How do you normally refine this metal"
"This ore, my liege, is the ore of one of the ordinary metals, called Tartarium. We normally begin refining it by crushing the rocks into small fragments, then we use magnetic poles of certain grades..." one of the experts from the Refining Unit stepped forward and began explaining the process of refining Tartarium ore in detail, without forgetting a single thing.
"Good" Vaelor nodded, then moved toward another pile of rocks "and what about this one"
"This, my liege, is Arcanium ore, and it’s among the hardest metals to refine, and the fire power we need to refine a single ton of it requires tremendous temperatures" that expert spoke, outlining the difficulties they faced, and turned back toward the piles of ordinary metal again...
"If we can refine hundreds of tons of ordinary metals like iron or Tartanium in a single day, my liege, we can only refine a single ton of Arcanium every few weeks, due to its complex refining processes!"
Vaelor nodded, holding his chin, thinking to himself...
He had already brought them the methods for refining rare metals, just as he’d also brought them the methods for finding and extracting them... but even with all this, the elves still lacked the time and sufficient experience to absorb all that information and harness and utilize it in the proper way.
"How do you transport the ores of these metals?" Vaelor turned to them again and asked.
"My liege, the primary transport is done by massive carts pulled by four-horned deer, but this takes us a long time transporting the ores from the mines to here... and over the past five months, we’ve only transported fifteen shipments, meaning just a few tens of thousands of tons of all the metals we’ve extracted"
This time it was Supervisor Jaco who spoke, bowing to Vaelor.
Just a few tens of thousands of tons over five months?!
Vaelor furrowed his brows upon hearing this, cursing inwardly!
This figure was far too small for the needs of the upcoming period... it would have been sufficient if this quantity were designated for the City of Light alone, but the bank would be opened tomorrow, and there were five other kingdoms still lacking proper weaponry and gear.
"Watch this closely" Vaelor approached the pile of Tartarium ore rocks, extending his hand toward it, and everyone watched him with intense anticipation...
Zzzzzzz!
A simple purple aura appeared around Vaelor’s hand, then it also appeared around the pile of Tartarium ore rocks, and after a few moments, before everyone’s eyes, something strange began to appear....
Before everyone’s eyes, those rocks began to move and shake violently, emitting a piercing hissing sound, and within moments those rocks began to break apart and separate from one another into extremely tiny particles... but the strange thing was, this wasn’t just random disintegration, rather every similar group of those particles gathered together into a single pile, separate from the rest of the different particles!
"This... this! Is this even possible!"
After Vaelor finished what he was doing, one of the refining experts approached, looking in astonishment at those piles of tiny rock particles in shock.
There were massive piles of those particles, as tall as a grown person, and there were also small piles barely enough to fill two cupped hands... but the astonishing thing about all those piles and particles, was that all of them were pure metals... pure metals that needed no refining, and could go directly into the smelting and shaping stage at once!
The expert took hold of those particles, looking at them in astonishment, and found no impurities within them whatsoever... every metal and material was completely and fully separate from the other metal, with no mixing at all!
Vaelor left this pile of rocks and headed toward the pile of Arcanium ore rocks, extending his hand toward it as well... and upon seeing this, the experts’ eyes widened even further...
Vaelor’s hand began flickering with the purple aura once more, followed by a purple aura surrounding the pile of Arcanium ore, and Vaelor looked at the experts again with a smile on his face...
"You used to take several hours refining the ores of ordinary metals like iron and Tartarium, and several weeks refining and purifying rare metals like Arcanium and Silestium" then he turned his gaze back toward the pile of Arcanium metal...
"But that won’t happen anymore!"
