Chapter 236: The Symbols

The hours passed, and evening soon arrived, and time continued its flow until the moon gradually disappeared and the sun of a new day appeared.

"They say that thing called the bank will open today"

"Yes, it was already announced yesterday"

"Will you go there?"

"They say they’ll open before sunset, by then I’ll have finished today’s work, so I’ll definitely go take a look!"

Two elves stood on the branches of an immensely tall tree, conversing as they looked toward the massive bank.

The bank wasn’t just an ordinary building or a mere large palace, it was several palaces together, and the term "palace" no longer suited it, and it would be better called the bank fortress!

Columns, statues, and extremely precise, enormously sized sculptures spread everywhere, displaying the greatness of the race that had built this structure and the power of the Law of Formation.

In truth, not all those palaces would be operational today after the bank opened, only the main palace would function... because the rest of the palaces’ functions weren’t complete yet, and were left for the distant future.

But even with all this, what the people of these kingdoms near the bank would see today, they never could have imagined seeing in their lifetime!

"Alright then, shall we go and hand the commander today’s reports" one of the elves spoke to the other, turning to face a city stretching massively across the horizon, a mere few kilometers away.

This was the capital of the Elven Kingdom of Nature, one of the kingdoms near the continent’s center like the City of Light, near which Vaelor had decided to open one of the bank’s branches, just like the Black Dragon Kingdom.

The elves went to hand in their reports, and time went about carrying out its task, namely moving forward without regard for any of creation... and soon the time of sunset arrived!

Elsewhere, in a place called the Kingdom of Cloud Wings, numerous Falcons soared through the sky, looking toward the bank, awaiting its opening, which had been heavily promoted for nearly a month now, and its opening had been announced yesterday, and it would open within a few short minutes

"Your Majesty, there are ten minutes left until the opening time" Ayat knelt before Vaelor, reminding him of the opening time!

"Alright then, prepare the transmission arrays, and prepare the criminal for execution" Vaelor nodded, saying simply, but he didn’t lift his eyes from a certain thing, and didn’t even look toward Ayat.

At some distance from him, there was an array engraved onto the ground... an array made using the Tripartite Law of Genesis... and it was also the third array Vaelor had crafted using this law.

In addition to the Matter Derivation array, which operated relying on the Law of Derivation and the Law of Formation, and the Essence of Life array, which operated relying on the Law of Genesis, this was the third array among the three miraculous arrays Vaelor had emerged with from his latest seclusion.

And in the middle of that array, Orion now sat cross-legged, gripping his knees tightly, eyes closed, gritting his teeth firmly.

And around him stood ten bottles filled with Legendary-grade Essence of Life... but the terrifying thing about it was that those ten bottles were several times larger than the ordinary bottles Vaelor had previously offered for sale.

In fact, it should be said they were roughly ten times larger!

This quantity of Essence of Life was enough to raise a hundred people and bring them up to the Fourth Level in the Body path... but Orion was now absorbing it all by himself!

Since Vaelor hadn’t yet managed to create a new body path that possessed all the advantages of the other body paths, he had instead decided to invest in the Body Smelting path discovered by the Elven War Kingdom... and develop it further!

It was true he hadn’t crafted the training core specific to the Body path as he’d hoped, one that would have covered all the flaws of the Body path... but instead, he had come up with an entirely new path, relying on all that knowledge, experience, and progress he’d made in crafting the Body Core path.

And he had named this new path... the Immortal Body Path!

This path combined four tremendous traits!

First, the extreme physical hardness specific to the Body Smelting path, second, the enormous physical strength specific to the Body Arrays path, third, rapid healing and regeneration thanks to the Essence of Life used in cultivating this path, and fourth and finally, the terrifying destructive power stemming from Orion’s mutated lineage!

This path stood out especially from the rest of the paths in that the material used in smelting the body wasn’t metals, plants, blood, and bones like the Body Smelting path, and the energy used for the body’s power wasn’t merely ordinary energy, and its skills weren’t merely ordinary tattoos or arrays like the rest of the paths.

The energy it relied on was life energy, and this made the body of a user of this path stronger than a user of the Body Arrays path.

And the material used in developing this path was Essence of Life, and thanks to the Law of Genesis, which smelted the bones, skin, organs, and blood thoroughly, it made the body far tougher than the body of a user of the Body Smelting path.

And the skills this path relied on were also tattoos... but they were tattoos far more powerful, destructive, and full of life!

Given that Orion possessed a mutated lineage, specifically a mutated Heaven-tier lineage... he naturally possessed a special ability specific to that mutated lineage.

And this ability related to refining the body, in addition to refining the body’s tattoos!

For instead of the tattoos being mere ordinary attacks, Orion’s lineage turned them into soldiers fighting alongside their master... and on top of this, instead of the momentary fusion that occurs with a tattoo, which used to last only a short while, this lineage made the tattoo fuse with the body and last for a long time.

Long enough to endure an entire battle!

And Vaelor never could have obtained such a terrifying ability from Orion, even had he used the Tripartite Law of Genesis, or the golden scroll’s ability to gain enlightenment.

But he possessed something higher and more sublime than both of those, something that had allowed him to obtain this ability from Orion and copy it... and that thing was the colorless symbols!
