Chapter 235: Arrays

"But I want you to find it within one year at the most!" These words weren’t directed only at the High Industrial Council, but at Ayat and the High Administrative Council as well... and Ayat had naturally noticed this too.

"As you command, my liege" both Ayat and Supervisor Jaco bowed at once, responding to the order... they felt some anxiety, but they had no choice in the matter, they had to intensify the search effort as ordered, and multiply their efforts several times over.

"Good" Vaelor smiled, somewhat pleased, though he would have been even happier had they already found that thing called Astrol. For according to the words of the Immortal Dream Dragon — Dahlia, Astrol was the fundamental fuel of every civilization, and it was also called the sibling of the Prime!

"Since we’ve settled the matter of searching for fuel, I want you to learn these two arrays and master them well" Vaelor took out two circular disks from his storage space, presenting them to the elves.

"I call the first disk the Matter Derivation Disk, and it represents the ability I demonstrated to you a moment ago!" Vaelor handed the first disk to Supervisor Jaco, and there was no need to explain its function, since they’d already seen it with their own eyes.

Anyone hearing its name for the first time would assume it was built to rely solely on the Law of Derivation... but in truth, this array operated relying on both the Law of Derivation and the Law of Formation at the same time, in a strange, perfect synchronization and harmony.

"As for the second array, I call it the Essence of Life array, and I want you to build as many of it as you can" Vaelor handed the second array to Supervisor Jaco as well, placing a storage ring alongside it: "and inside this ring you’ll find some Essence of Life, in addition to five sets of materials, each set capable of building one array"

Vaelor had initially thought that building the Essence of Life array would be easy, since he already possessed the Blessing of Life skill, but the application proved harder than he expected.

He had indeed built the array, but not relying on the Law of Life alone... but relying on the Law of Genesis as well!

This array was no longer merely a Law of Life array as he’d initially assumed... it had become the second array he’d crafted using the Law of Genesis, after the Defense array he’d developed!

But this array’s difficulty and cost had exceeded his expectations by far... and the final result wasn’t what he’d expected either!

It had taken up nearly all his time and most of the enlightenment he’d gained over the past month just to come up with its design.

As for building a single one of them, the cost of purchasing its materials alone had exceeded a million Primes!

Those five sets of resources that Vaelor had brought had cost a total of five million Primes... and that was only because he’d bought them from the Red Lotus Palace and gotten a discount, otherwise the total cost would have exceeded six million Primes!

And Vaelor had intended to buy more of those resources, but the Red Lotus Palace told him they’d supplied him with everything they could, and that this type of resource had run out!

A cosmic empire controlling numerous galaxies had run out of resources requested by a mere person with only Sixth Level power, living on some remote planet!

But if anyone were to look at the type of those resources, their eyes would widen until they looked at Vaelor in astonishment...

Those resources belonged to the Cosmic Law of Life, and the Cosmic Law of Formation, in addition to one of the rarest laws in terms of both users and dedicated resources... the Cosmic Law of Derivation.

There were, of course, several other resources belonging to several other basic laws, but these were readily available.

The real dilemma lay in the resources belonging to cosmic laws, for it’s well known that cosmic law resources are far rarer than basic law resources... especially a law like the Law of Derivation.

For instance, if you found a hundred plants or a hundred rocks belonging to a basic law, you might barely find a single plant or rock belonging to a cosmic law.

That was in terms of difficulty and cost alone, but in terms of the result, it fell short of what Vaelor expected.

It was true that the array served its purpose and condensed Essence of Life at the same cost Vaelor incurred, but the time the array needed to condense a single vial of Essence of Life was far longer than the time Vaelor himself needed to do the same.

For instance, Vaelor needed five minutes to condense a single vial of Legendary-grade Essence of Life... but the array needed more than ten hours to do the exact same thing!

That was a time exceeding a hundred times what Vaelor needed... and at this rate, it could only produce two vials per day.

But if you looked at the matter from a different perspective, it was quite understandable... for whoever had crafted a skill like the Blessing of Life skill had been one of the strongest entities in the universe of its era, and its understanding of the Law of Life had reached terrifying degrees and levels... and it was Vaelor’s good fortune that he’d managed to replicate this creation to this extent at all.

But he didn’t know that this array was one of a kind, unique in the entire universe... and if anyone found out about it, stellar wars would erupt over it, wars that could destroy Vaelor’s very planet!

But even with all this, Vaelor wasn’t satisfied — these five arrays would barely be enough to cover trade alone, but what about the members of his kingdom?

Especially since he intended to establish a body cultivation system relying entirely on the Essence of Life!

"The previous arrays can wait until you find the Astrol, but the Essence of Life array relies on Primes to operate, so I want you to finish building the five arrays as soon as possible" Vaelor gave his order, then took out another storage ring, presenting it to Supervisor Jaco...

"In here you’ll find blueprints and formulas for the catalysts suited to the laws of the five races and the seven elemental laws, in addition to a few hundred samples of those catalysts, I want you to place them in the banks tomorrow so they’re ready in time for the opening!"
