Chapter 634: Chapter 633: Cisa

"Master, we are done."

Just then, Sword Demon spoke as Void sat across from him behind the counter, his legs crossed over each other.

Void looked at Sword Demon, then outside, and smiled.

"Good, good."

"Now, basically, what we do is trade things that could grant them incredible power, revenge, or whatnot in exchange for a piece of their future or past, or anything valuable enough to be traded."

"If they fail to meet their end of the deal, then... we take everything from them," Void finished.

"The Law of Equivalent Exchange," Sword Demon said.

"Exactly." Void grinned.

And so, a small shop was quietly established, while the terrifying beasts that could erase the nearby city were turned into pets and potential food.

---

Meanwhile, in the city, a young man could be seen walking out of his house with a heavy heart. His father had arrived just yesterday with various injuries. He was unconscious, while his mother was crying..

His name was Cisa, and right now, he was heading to his father’s workplace.

A construction site where his father was being beaten simply because he couldn’t afford to pay a loan.

Cisa was already twenty years old and a dropout. He knew he had no considerable future. He wasn’t a warrior just like the majority of the people, and he would likewise remain a normal human. However, his younger brother could still become something. He wasn’t yet sixteen and hadn’t gone through the test, which meant he might become a warrior.

As for Cisa, he had left school and given all the resources that should have been his to his younger brother, while also relieving his family of some of their financial pressure.

But his father... He had long since finished paying off the said loan. What they were demanding now was the atrocious interest, which, after five years, had become even greater than the entire amount his father had borrowed.

They had begged, pleaded, and groveled at their feet for a second chance and more time, but they seemed to have turned a deaf ear to their pleas.

This wasn’t the first, second, or even third time this had happened, and he was outright sick of it.

This time, they would get something in return. A reaction for their actions.

Turning near a clothing store, Cisa came out a few seconds later with clothes wrapped around both hands. His pace quickened as he continued forward, and soon, he arrived at the construction site. His black hair was neatly combed, and his eyes locked onto the more than a dozen men who were laughing.

Beside them were patches of blood on the ground, but they didn’t seem to mind as they drank booze and laughed out loud.

"Hey," Cisa called out as the men looked around.

"Huh... Who is this kid?" one of them asked with a hiccup.

Another moved closer to the charging Cisa.

"Kid, are you lost? We aren’t employing anyone yet. Leave," a man with an overgrown beard said.

Standing at nearly 6’5", he was a giant compared to Cisa, who was just 5’10". Yet Cisa wasn’t intimidated. Instead, his walking speed turned into a jog, then a run, before he jumped up.

Doom!

A dull sound rang out as Cisa landed. Then, to everyone’s shock, the man’s body fell backward.

Thud!

"What the hell?"

"Guys, he’s a troublemaker!"

Just then, the men sprang from their seats and rushed toward Cisa, carrying large metal rods and wooden planks.

Cisa’s lips trembled in anger as he charged toward them. The first man he encountered swung his metal rod, but Cisa sidestepped it before launching a kick that struck the man’s chin squarely. His body fell backward, and his lights went out instantly.

Just as Cisa’s legs touched the ground again, another man attacked with a wooden plank aimed at his head.

In response, Cisa crossed his arms.

Crack!

The wooden plank broke instantly. Cisa grabbed the man’s neck and slammed him down, causing his head to hit the ground as he fainted.

Cisa rolled to the side, dodging another attack, then punched out the instant he got back up.

Within a few minutes, the dozen men were lying unconscious on the ground as Cisa rubbed the back of his head.

Blood stains appeared on his palm as he removed the clothes wrapped around both fists. A small drop of blood dripped from his nose, but Cisa didn’t seem to mind as he clutched his stomach and prepared to leave.

His father had tried to be reasonable and had continued making payments, but they wanted to increase the amount he had to pay every week. Of course, his father had refused, and since then, they had resorted to this method.

It was a loophole, and there was nothing the Human Federation could do about it. But that didn’t mean Cisa couldn’t use the same method against them.

"Wait... you!"

Suddenly, a voice rang out, and Cisa’s expression changed.

More than fifty men arrived, following a young man in a suit. Smoke rose from the man’s open lips as he took the cigarette from his mouth and removed it.

The instant Cisa saw him, his expression changed. Without a doubt, this was a warrior. The aura he released was deadly. It was like a human coming face-to-face with a tiger.

"Shit," Cisa muttered as he took off, ignoring his injuries.

"Catch him," the man in the suit said calmly.

The more than fifty men immediately burst into action, moving with terrifying speed as they chased after Cisa.

Cisa changed direction and headed straight outside the city. For now, they most likely didn’t know who he was, so going home would be a terrible idea. However, if he could lead them outside the city and lose them in the forest, everything would at least die down.

They didn’t know him, and he would pretend he didn’t know them either. But he hadn’t expected them to have a warrior among them.

Damn it! If only he were also a warrior, none of this would have happened, and his father wouldn’t have been in danger.

Damn it!
