Chapter 106: Chapter 106: You Had Kian Design This?

Sienna Everett frowned slightly. "Something happened?"

Keith Sterling hesitated for two seconds before speaking softly. "Back then, my aunt and uncle had just passed away. And... my cousin saw it happen with his own eyes."

Sienna’s heart clenched.

’Julian Forrester’s parents died then?’

’Julian was just a little boy back then, and he had to watch his own parents leave him forever...’

’No wonder he was in such a bad state. He was so lifeless, cold, and distant. He wouldn’t talk to anyone, like he’d sealed himself inside a transparent shell.’

Sienna had heard later on that Julian’s parents had passed away, but she never knew the exact time.

She had never presumed to ask Julian about it, afraid of upsetting him. To think it happened right around that time.

Keith Sterling sighed. For once, he was less his usual flighty self and a bit more poetic. "Sierra, it’s a good thing you were there with my cousin back then, warming him like a little sun."

Sienna quickly waved her hands in a modest gesture. "It wasn’t just me. My grandparents were with him then, too."

Keith Sterling: "..."

’Sierra, how can you be so dense!’

’All those brain cells I sacrificed to come up with that one poetic, impressive-sounding line, wasted!’

Sienna, however, was lost in thought. When they were children, she always gave Julian handmade gifts for his birthday.

’Maybe I should make him a gift by hand this year, too?’

’But what should I make?’

’A floral wreath? No, that’s kid stuff.’

’What if... I design a piece of clothing for him?’

’But his birthday is in just a few days. The timing is too tight.’

Sienna bit her lip, mentally calculating the time. ’If I pull a few all-nighters these next few days, I should still be able to make it.’

「That night」

Sienna drew up the design draft.

Then, she bought the materials and started making it entirely by hand.

After two sleepless nights, dark circles appeared under Sienna’s eyes. In a belated attempt to save her skin, she tore open a face mask and put it on, continuing to work through the night with it on.

「In the midst of this」

Stella Shaw took Sienna to attend a music awards ceremony.

Orion Hawthorne won the award for Most Popular Male Singer.

Sienna, under the name SG, won the awards for Best Arranger and Best Composer.

Dustin Everett was also at the awards ceremony, sitting in the audience. Although his career was in ruins and he had lost countless fans, he had once been a chart-topping singer, so the organizers had invited him.

Everyone had assumed that given the scandal surrounding him, Dustin Everett would find an excuse to decline the invitation.

Unexpectedly, not only did he attend, but he also arrived early.

Accompanying Dustin Everett was Wyatt Everett.

The other celebrities, big and small, saw the two of them and recalled the confession letters they had posted online and how they had bullied their own sister. They all looked at them with complex, contemptuous expressions.

Dustin and Wyatt Everett were completely shameless, letting everyone stare.

’As long as we can see Sienna, we can endure these scornful looks!’

The two of them sat in the audience, watching Sienna Everett accept her awards on stage, clapping until their hands were nearly swollen.

Wyatt was thrilled. ’My sister is so beautiful and so amazing!’

Dustin was overjoyed. ’My sister is incredible! The award itself seems more prestigious just because she won it!’

The moment the awards ceremony ended, Sienna left the venue and rushed back to Veridian Gardens to continue working on her gift for Julian Forrester.

Wyatt and Dustin Everett chased after her but didn’t even catch a glimpse of her back.

The two brothers looked at each other, both seeing the dejection on the other’s face.

’When will we ever get to say a single word to our sister?’

Finally, after all of Sienna’s hard work and sleepless nights, she finished the handmade birthday gift the day before Julian Forrester’s birthday.

「That evening」

Julian Forrester returned from the office.

Samuel Sutton, his assistant, had driven him home.

As soon as they got out of the car, Samuel Sutton began carrying load after load of beautifully wrapped gift boxes from the car.

Sienna was confused. "Why are there so many gifts?"

Samuel Sutton set the gift boxes down for the butler to put away, wiping the nervous sweat from his forehead. "These are from Mr. Forrester’s friends, as well as some people who want to get on his good side. They know Mr. Forrester never throws things like birthday parties, so they sent their gifts in advance."

Sienna nodded. So that was it.

’With so many gifts, he probably won’t even bother to open them.’

「Later that night」

The younger three—Sienna, Julian Forrester, and Keith Sterling—had dinner with the family elder, Howard Forrester.

Howard Forrester was getting on in years and couldn’t stay up late. He cut the cake and gave his gift early, said a few words of encouragement, and told the youngsters to enjoy themselves before heading back to rest.

As soon as the old man left, Keith Sterling took out his gift. "Cousin, happy early birthday! I won’t disturb you and Sierra’s private time~~"

Sienna: "..." 𝘧𝓇ℯℴ𝓂

After giving his gift, Keith Sterling let out two meaningful, mischievous chuckles, then turned and scurried away.

Sienna was a little curious. "What did he give you?"

’He was laughing so strangely just now.’

Seeing her curiosity, Julian Forrester casually started unwrapping it.

But halfway through, he saw what was inside. The muscle between his eyebrows twitched, and he looked on the verge of a breakdown.

Noticing his strange expression, Sienna craned her neck to get a look. "What is it?"

Julian nonchalantly covered it back up. "It’s nothing."

Sienna: "..."

’It’s definitely something!’

’And he won’t let me see!’

Sienna sneakily reached her little paws over, trying to open it and see for herself.

Julian actually swatted her hand away and put the gift, box and all, away.

Sienna: "..."

’The more he tries to hide it, the more curious I get!’

Before they knew it, it was almost midnight.

Sienna scurried back to her room and retrieved her gift.

She had already placed it in an exquisite gift box.

Returning to the living room, Sienna presented the box to the man before her. Just like all the times she had given him a birthday gift in the past, her eyes curved into crescents as she smiled, bright and lively. "Julian Forrester, happy birthday."

The man’s eyebrows lifted almost imperceptibly, his voice light, lazy, and alluring. "A birthday gift from Sienna. I’ve been waiting for many years."

Hearing this, Sienna’s fingertips trembled slightly. "...Then hurry up and take it."

He raised his hand to accept the gift, then lifted his gaze to look at her.

Sienna understood his meaning at a glance and nodded. "You can open it now."

Julian Forrester opened the gift box. Inside was a white silk shirt.

The fabric and craftsmanship were exceptional; one look was enough to tell it was different from ordinary clothes.

Although it had no particularly special design, it simply looked more refined than a regular garment.

It was only upon picking it up that he discovered a subtle embroidery on the shoulder, visible only from a specific angle.

On the back of the collar was a distinct signature character.

Julian’s eyes narrowed. It was the mark of the world-class designer, Kian.

Every piece personally designed by Kian bears an inconspicuous yet highly personal signature character.

However, Kian only designed womenswear, never menswear.

Julian lazily lifted his gaze, the corner of his lip twitching into a slight smile. "This shirt..."

Sienna grew nervous. "What is it? Is there a problem?"

He chuckled softly. "No. I was just going to ask, did you specially commission Kian to design this shirt?"
