After a Flash Marriage With a Billionaire, My Brothers Are Begging for My Forgiveness!
Chapter 55: Wishing Sienna Everett Died at Birth
Chapter 55: Chapter 55: Wishing Sienna Everett Died at Birth
The variety show, Surprise Storm, was being filmed in the suburbs.
Stella Shaw had accompanied Sienna Everett, so if any problems arose, she, as Sienna’s manager, could promptly help resolve them.
After all, the production team had invited both Sienna Everett and Dustin Everett. It was obvious to anyone what they were planning.
Sienna Everett had once publicly severed ties with the Everett Family. Her appearing on the same stage as Dustin Everett would definitely guarantee high ratings. Netizens loved to watch the juicy drama of family turning against each other.
When they arrived, a staff member from the production team led the two of them into the guest lounge.
One of the guests had already arrived.
Sienna Everett looked up and recognized him at a glance. It was Orion Hawthorne.
He was sitting casually in a chair, head down as he fiddled with his phone. His black hair was slightly messy, with a single streak of silver dyed near his forehead, giving him a wild and flashy sort of handsomeness.
"Orion," Stella Shaw called his name.
Orion Hawthorne looked up at the sound of his name, his handsome features marked by an unconcealable rebelliousness.
He only glanced at Stella Shaw before his gaze shifted to Sienna Everett beside her.
Sienna Everett met his gaze with calm composure.
Stella Shaw made the introduction. "Orion, this is Sienna Everett, the one I told you about. You’re on the show with her today, so look out for her a bit."
Orion Hawthorne let out a noncommittal "oh," shoved his phone back into his pocket, and stood up lazily. His attitude was lukewarm at best.
Seeing his stubborn and unresponsive demeanor, Stella Shaw couldn’t help but shake her head in resignation.
Orion wasn’t a bad person, just a bit rebellious and difficult to manage.
But that was precisely what many of his fans loved—that wild and arrogant persona.
Stella Shaw warned him sternly, "Orion, watch your attitude."
With his hands in his pockets, Orion Hawthorne radiated pure insolence. "What’s wrong with my attitude? Do I have to strip and give her a pole dance for you to call me enthusiastic?"
Stella Shaw frowned, just about to lecture him.
But just then, Sienna Everett, who had been standing to the side, commented unhurriedly, "I wouldn’t be opposed. Please, go ahead."
Hearing this, Orion Hawthorne immediately glared at her.
’She actually told me to go ahead.’
’Who told you to take me seriously?!’
Stella Shaw: "..."
’Great.’
’The two artists under me are more difficult to manage than the last.’
’But this is good too. At least Sienna Everett won’t be bullied.’
Stella Shaw glanced at her watch. "The show starts in half an hour. You two chat and get to know each other. I’m going to go check in with the director."
Stella Shaw was a highly respected manager in the industry and was old acquaintances with many directors and screenwriters.
After Stella Shaw left, only Sienna Everett and Orion Hawthorne remained in the lounge.
Orion Hawthorne, in his twenties, was slender and tall. He sized up Sienna Everett with an undisguised, hostile gaze and said, "Let’s get this straight. Even though Ophelia told me to, I don’t have time to look out for you."
Sienna Everett raised an eyebrow coolly, completely unfazed. "You’re overthinking it. I don’t need you to look out for me."
Orion Hawthorne was momentarily speechless. He let out a loud huff, then plopped back into his chair, deliberately making a lot of noise like a child.
Sienna Everett paid him no mind and walked to a seat furthest away from him.
Orion Hawthorne frowned and shot her a look.
’He knew of this Sienna Everett. He’d seen her photos online a few days ago, but now that he saw her in person, he realized she was even more stunning than her pictures.’
’But why should he be the one to look out for her?’
’Even though his family was worth hundreds of billions, he had never relied on them. He had clawed his way up, step by step, all on his own.’
’His father had tried to force him to come home and inherit the family fortune several times, but hadn’t he still managed to secure a firm footing in the entertainment industry and build a dazzling career all on his own merit?’
Orion Hawthorne’s life motto was: if you have talent, you’ll make it big; if you don’t, get out of the business.
’He had no desire to just look after some rookie.’
A few minutes later, two more guests arrived.
The male guest was named Chloe Chambers. In his thirties, he was a skilled actor with decent acting chops but only moderate fame.
The female guest was Selena Hansen, in her twenties. She debuted in a girl group and had a huge, fiercely protective fanbase—the kind you didn’t want to mess with.
As soon as Selena Hansen walked in, she noticed Sienna Everett sitting quietly.
Sienna’s beauty was simply too striking. She wasn’t wearing much makeup today, but her face was exquisite, her eyes captivating. Even without any elaborate touches, she could instantly capture anyone’s attention.
Selena Hansen stared at Sienna Everett for a moment but didn’t greet her. Instead, she walked toward Orion Hawthorne with a sweet smile. "Senior Hawthorne, hello!"
Orion Hawthorne was the most famous person here, so of course, she would greet him first.
Sucking up to the powerful and trampling on the weak was the norm in the entertainment industry. Naturally, you’d try to curry favor with whoever was most popular.
However, Orion Hawthorne merely gave a faint acknowledgment, his attitude clearly distant.
Having been snubbed, Selena Hansen gave an awkward laugh. She had long heard that Orion Hawthorne was rebellious and untamable, and seeing him today, it was clear he didn’t give face to anyone.
Chloe Chambers stepped in with a smile to smooth things over. "Orion, long time no see! Selena, you can sit over here. There’s an empty seat!"
Selena Hansen immediately took the out she was offered.
Chloe Chambers then looked toward Sienna Everett, smiling. "You must be Sienna Everett, right? I’ve seen news about you online. It’s nice to meet you."
Sienna Everett smiled slightly. "Nice to meet you, too."
Just as she finished speaking, the lounge door was pushed open from the outside, and Isabelle Sutton poked her head in.
Seeing Sienna Everett, Isabelle Sutton’s eyes lit up, and she ran over excitedly. "Sienna, it’s been so long!"
Sienna Everett stood up in pleasant surprise. "Isabelle."
They hadn’t seen much of each other since the last dance competition, so she hadn’t expected to meet her on this show.
Isabelle Sutton hugged Sienna Everett excitedly and whispered, "I signed with an agency a few days ago, and this is the show my manager arranged for me. I can’t believe I ran into you here, I’m so happy!"
Sienna Everett returned the hug, her smile radiant. "I’m happy too. It’s been a while."
Isabelle Sutton then greeted the other guests before sitting down next to Sienna Everett.
As everyone was making small talk, the lounge door was pushed open again, and the final guest walked in—
Dustin Everett, wearing sunglasses.
The moment Dustin Everett entered, his gaze locked onto Sienna Everett.
’He truly wished he never had this sister. He wished she had died the moment she was born!’
’It was all because of her that Shannon was almost kicked out of the Everett Family by their third brother!’
Dustin Everett hatefully took off his sunglasses, his gaze toward Sienna Everett bone-chillingly cold and filled with undisguised disgust.
Chloe Chambers couldn’t help but be a little surprised.
There had been rumors online that Sienna Everett was on bad terms with the Everett Family, and later she had even publicly severed ties with them. But looking at the situation now, "bad terms" was an understatement. Their relationship was downright hostile.
Dustin Everett was Sienna Everett’s biological brother, yet his attitude toward her was so cold.
Orion Hawthorne couldn’t stand the sight of Dustin Everett and rolled his eyes at him. ’Wearing sunglasses indoors. What a poser.’
Isabelle Sutton worriedly took Sienna Everett’s arm.
Sienna Everett reassuringly patted the back of her hand.
Dustin Everett strode over, stopping in front of Sienna Everett. He looked down on her, his tone condescending as if granting a favor. "You see me and you don’t even know to say hello?"
