Chapter 75: Chapter 75: Meeting SG a Week Later

Sovereign Entertainment, Stella Shaw’s office.

Orion Hawthorne stared at Sienna Everett on the sofa, his eyes shining.

If at first he’d asked Sienna Everett to write a song for him as a way to boost her career with his own popularity...

...then after finding out that Sienna Everett was the one and only SG, Orion Hawthorne’s mindset had done a complete one-eighty. Getting a song from SG was the honor of a lifetime.

Orion Hawthorne stared intently at Sienna Everett, the excitement in his eyes yet to fade. "Honestly, it’s not just the netizens who are curious. I’m dying to know, too. Why would a legendary composer like SG be willing to write a song for me?"

Sienna Everett raised an eyebrow, just about to speak.

Orion Hawthorne shot up his hand to answer his own question, his tone smug. "I know! It must be because after spending these past few days together, you were completely captivated by me. That’s why you deigned to write me a song! Ah, curse this damn, irresistible charm of mine!"

Sienna Everett: "..."

’I’ve seen narcissists, but I’ve never seen someone *this* narcissistic.’

Sitting behind her desk, Stella Shaw looked like she couldn’t bear to watch.

Orion Hawthorne’s lips curved into a smile as his tone turned serious. "I was just kidding. I know you’ve cut ties with the Everett Family and don’t want anything to do with the Everetts anymore, so you’ll never write another song for Dustin Everett. Right?"

Sienna Everett: "You could say that."

Orion Hawthorne stood up. "To thank you for writing the song, I’m treating you to a big dinner tonight. We can also celebrate the album’s huge success. Ophelia, you should come too."

Just as Stella Shaw was about to speak, her phone rang.

She answered it and put it on speaker.

A robust middle-aged man’s voice came from the other end. "Agent Shaw, hello. This is Connor Zane, the chief director of *Music Follows Me*. I’m calling you so late because I’d like to invite your artists, Sienna Everett and Orion Hawthorne, to be on our variety show!"

*Music Follows Me* was the hottest music-themed variety show in the country. Many singers would kill to get on it.

And now, the chief director himself was calling to invite them.

Connor Zane didn’t beat around the bush and got straight to the point. "Orion Hawthorne’s new song is a massive hit with explosive sales, making him perfect for our show. As for Sienna Everett, she helped promote Orion’s new song, so we’d like to invite her as well. The recording will be in one week!"

Stella Shaw didn’t agree rashly. Instead, she inquired, "Director Zane, besides Sienna and Orion, which other guests have you invited?"

Connor Zane chuckled. "Agent Shaw, it’s no big secret. I’ll be honest with you. We’re still in the process of inviting the final guests, but the ones we’ve confirmed so far are Dustin Everett and Shannon Everett."

Hearing this, Stella Shaw’s brow furrowed slightly. She glanced up at Sienna Everett. ’The world is really a small place for enemies.’

But Sienna Everett felt nothing at all.

’She’d long since stopped caring about the Everetts.’

’Besides, she had already agreed to Dustin Everett’s request to meet. She might as well take this opportunity to see him as SG.’

On the other end of the line, Connor Zane pressed, "So? Will it be convenient for Orion Hawthorne and Sienna Everett to join our show?"

Stella Shaw looked to Sienna Everett, wanting to hear her opinion.

Sienna Everett nodded, signaling that it was fine.

Orion Hawthorne had no objections either and shot Stella Shaw a look that said: ’Don’t worry, Ophelia. If the Everetts dare to bully Sienna Everett, I won’t just stand by and watch.’

Stella Shaw relaxed a little and replied to Connor Zane, "Alright, Director Zane. Sienna and Orion have agreed to be on your show."

Connor Zane’s laughter was hearty. "That’s wonderful! By the way, I have a bold question to ask. Do SG and Orion Hawthorne know each other? Would we be lucky enough to get SG’s contact information?"

Stella Shaw was suspicious. "Director Zane, why are you asking about SG?"

Connor Zane’s tone was full of longing. "Well, I was thinking of trying to invite SG onto our show! With SG’s fame and popularity, if they agreed to appear, our ratings would definitely explode!"

Stella Shaw thought to herself, ’Sienna Everett’s appearance is basically SG’s appearance.’

’It’s just that the public doesn’t know Sienna Everett is SG.’

Stella Shaw calmly advised, "Director Zane, you must have heard that SG never shows their face and never appears on shows. It would be pointless to invite them."

Connor Zane sighed regretfully. "I know, the great SG never makes public appearances. But I still wanted to try."

Stella Shaw was about to say more when she suddenly saw Sienna Everett holding up a piece of paper in front of her.

On the paper was a single sentence—

SG agrees to participate

Stella Shaw’s head shot up, her eyes wide with astonishment.

Sienna Everett nodded calmly.

Orion Hawthorne was also shocked. ’Holy crap, the most mysterious and famous composer, SG, is finally going to make a public appearance on a show!’

Having heard no reply from Stella Shaw, Connor Zane asked from the other end of the line, puzzled, "Hello? Hello? Agent Shaw, are you still there? Is my signal bad?"

Stella Shaw finally snapped out of it and quickly said, "Director Zane, I’m here. I can tell you now that SG has agreed to be on your show."

Connor Zane froze, then shouted in a mix of shock and delight, "Really? Is this for real?! Agent Shaw, don’t you dare lie to me! My heart is weak, I can’t handle this kind of excitement!"

Stella Shaw touched her forehead. ’Sure enough, I’m not the only one who’s this surprised.’

"Director Zane, it’s true. SG has agreed to be on your show."

"Oh my god, what kind of dog-shit luck did I step in to actually get SG!" Connor Zane was so excited he was babbling. "Thank you, Agent Shaw, thank you and your entire family! Our production team is eagerly awaiting SG’s arrival!"

Stella Shaw: "..."

’Is that really how you thank someone?’

Once things were settled, the *Music Follows Me* production team couldn’t wait to announce the news on their official X account.

[Dear viewers, huge news!!

Next week, our show will welcome a truly epic, heavyweight guest! Their songs are known and loved by all, famous throughout the land; their style is unique, adored by hundreds of millions!

Next week, the renowned composer SG will be a guest on *Music Follows Me*. Stay tuned!]

As soon as the news was released, the entire internet exploded.

#SGGuestingOnMusicFollowsMeNextWeek# and #SGPublicAppearance# shot up the trending charts at an unstoppable speed.

Both topics exploded to the top of the charts!

Netizens were beating gongs and drums, spreading the news everywhere.

[HOLY CRAP, HOLY CRAP, SG, MY GOD! My SG, I’m finally going to see you!]

[I’m literally bursting into tears! I’ve waited so long for this!]

[Calm down, calm down! Everyone should lower their expectations first! A lot of people are imagining SG as some super handsome guy or gorgeous woman, but I feel like people who don’t show their face usually aren’t that good-looking. Otherwise, they would’ve shown it long ago.]

[Agreed with the post above. After my objective analysis, SG is probably a paunchy, middle-aged uncle. Maybe even with a receding hairline.]

[HOLY SHIT, that’s so pathetic...]

At the same time, Dustin Everett received a reply from SG, agreeing to meet him in a week on the set of *Music Follows Me*.

Dustin Everett was so excited he couldn’t sit still.

’He was finally going to meet his master in person.’

’SG never appeared in public, yet now they were breaking character to be on a variety show—and with him, no less.’

’This meant his master still cared about him!’

’His master still cared for his disciple!’

’When the time came, he would have a good talk with his master. If his master really was a middle-aged uncle like the netizens said, he wanted to ask him to be his godfather to bring them even closer.’

’And then, he would ask his master to write songs for him again!’

...

Orion Hawthorne invited Sienna Everett and Stella Shaw to dinner to celebrate his new song’s success.

Even though all the money he earned went to Sienna Everett as her composer’s fee, he was more than happy to do it.

When they arrived at the restaurant, their mood was soured by the sight of Dustin Everett and Shannon Everett.

"Sister..."

Shannon Everett paused, a gentle smile immediately appearing on her face as she tried to take Sienna Everett’s hand.

Dustin Everett blocked her with his arm, his tone full of disgust. "Shannon, don’t bother with this traitor."
