Chapter 84: Chapter 84: Slapping Dustin Everett’s Face

Orion Hawthorne was aware of Dustin Everett’s shooting skills. He’d seen him demonstrate them on a variety show before—he was quite good and had even attracted a lot of fans with it.

But in comparison, Sienna’s shooting was clearly on another level.

For example, just now, Sienna had shot a star shape onto the target, and even a number 2. Her skill had reached the point where she could hit whatever she aimed at.

Even if Dustin trained for another fifty years, he’d never be able to catch up.

So, if these two had a shooting competition, Sienna would definitely win in the end.

’But if she wins, she gets to go back to the Everett family?’

Orion Hawthorne glanced at Sienna’s expression. Seeing her brows knitted in clear displeasure, he stepped forward and said, "No, this bet is too unfair to Sienna."

Keith Sterling’s eyes nearly rolled into the back of his head. "Who wants to make such a ridiculous bet with you people!"

Shannon Everett had been feeling upset. ’Why has Dustin gone soft on Sienna, not only agreeing to let her return to the Everett family but also promising to never hit or curse at her again?’

But now, hearing what Orion and Keith said, Shannon’s immediate thought was that Sienna was scared.

’That makes sense. Dustin’s shooting is so good, how could Sienna possibly beat him?’

’Thinking she could win the competition and return to the Everett Family is just a pipe dream!’

Shannon’s mind raced, and she looked at Sienna with a gentle and friendly gaze.

"Sister, remember on Dustin’s birthday, when our whole family went to the shooting range? You scored higher than me back then. Your shooting skills must be amazing, Sister. So, you should just agree to Dustin’s bet."

"I’m sure you won’t lose to Dustin, Sister. Then you can come back home, our family can be whole again, and I’ll get to see you every day, too."

To Dustin’s ears, this heartfelt speech only made Shannon sound all the more sensible and considerate.

When Wyatt Everett heard this, however, his brows furrowed so deeply you could’ve crushed a fly between them.

’That imposter, Shannon, occupying the position of the eldest Everett daughter, does nothing all day but put on a two-faced, hypocritical act. How utterly shameless!’

’It’s enough to make me want to puke up last night’s dinner!’

He quickly glanced at Sienna. ’Yep, my real little sister is so much prettier. Just one look at her puts me in a better mood.’

Naturally, Wyatt hoped Sienna could return to the Everett Family, but it had to be because she wanted to, not because she was forced.

Besides, he had seen Dustin’s shooting skills. It would be very, very difficult for Sienna to beat him.

Wyatt frowned. "Sienna, don’t agree to this bet. Dustin is trying to force your hand."

"Third Brother," Dustin stressed coldly, "haven’t you always wanted Sienna to come back to the Everett Family? I’m giving her that chance right now!"

"Sienna," Dustin said, turning to her. "So, what do you say? Do you dare to bet against me?"

"If you beat me, I’ll agree to let you return to the Everett Family, and I’ll never hit or curse at you ever again!"

"But if I win, you will never be my sister again. We’ll sever our sibling relationship for the rest of our lives!"

Sienna had no intention of entertaining this ridiculous bet, but when she heard that last sentence, she raised her eyebrows with great interest. "Dustin, you’re the one who said it."

Dustin: "Of course! Do you dare to bet me!"

Sienna: "Let’s begin then."

Hearing Sienna agree, Wyatt grew anxious at once.

’Sienna will probably lose. What if she loses?’

’Eh, if she loses, she loses. Then Sienna will be my little sister, and mine alone!’

Orion Hawthorne gave Dustin an indifferent glance. ’I wonder what Dustin’s reaction would be if he found out that Sienna is his most revered mentor, SG?’

「Everyone moved to the front of the shooting lanes.」

Dustin picked up the gun beside him and glanced contemptuously at Sienna. "Five shots each. I’ll go first."

With that, he aimed at the target ahead, took a deep breath, and steadied his mind.

’The most important thing in shooting is to be steady, not hasty.’

Dustin slowed his breathing, aimed for a long moment, and finally pulled the trigger with a BANG.

The electronic screen displayed: 10-ring.

Shannon jumped up in delight. "Wow, Dustin, you’re amazing! You’re even more accurate than before!"

Dustin smiled smugly. "Sienna, your turn..."

Before he could finish his sentence, Sienna, who was beside him, raised her pistol and fired a shot without even looking.

The electronic screen displayed: 0-ring!

Orion Hawthorne: "..."

Keith Sterling: "..."

’She really, really doesn’t want to win, huh.’

Wyatt’s brows, however, were tightly knitted. ’Just as I thought. At Sienna’s level, it’s going to be hard to beat Dustin.’

A wave of schadenfreude washed over Shannon. ’This is great! That bitch Sienna is sure to lose now. She’s going to have to sever ties with Dustin forever!’

’From now on, all of Dustin’s affection will be for me!’

Dustin, however, was full of suspicion. ’That’s not right. The last time, on my birthday, I saw Sienna shoot. Her skills weren’t this terrible.’

Dustin narrowed his eyes and fired another shot at the target.

Because his mood was affected, his aim was a little off.

The screen displayed: 9.8.

Sienna still didn’t look, firing a shot with a flick of her wrist.

The screen displayed: 0.8.

Next.

Dustin shot a 9.6.

Sienna shot a 0.6.

Dustin: 9.4.

Sienna: 0.4.

Keith Sterling and Orion Hawthorne exchanged a look, understanding instantly.

’Damn, Sienna is only hitting the decimal points of Dustin’s score!’

’With that level of shooting skill, she can do whatever the hell she wants!’

’She can hit whatever score she wants!’

Wyatt’s eyes widened with excitement. He had thought Sienna’s shooting skills were poor, but he never imagined she was so good she could just play around like this.

’Sienna is just too amazing!’

’For someone like me who’s accomplished nothing to be Sienna’s older brother... I’m really just holding her back!’

Dustin had also figured it out by now. He was completely dumbfounded, the hand holding his gun trembling slightly.

’How could this be...’

’Sienna was only hitting the numbers after his decimal point!’

’And she was doing it so fast, so accurately...’

’What kind of god-tier shooting skill did you need to control your score with such mastery!’

Dustin’s mind was in turmoil, and his last shot went wide.

He scored a 5.6.

Sienna raised her hand. BANG. 0.6.

Dustin stared intently at the target in front of him. After a long moment, he turned to Sienna, his teeth clenched.

"Sienna, you’re losing to me on purpose!"

’Sienna’s shooting skill is clearly so much better than mine!’

Sienna glanced lazily at the gun in her hand, then lifted her gaze to look at him. The corners of her crimson lips tilted up into a cold, mocking sneer.

"Dustin, remember your bet."
