The number of zombies blocking the main entrance was dwindling.

Chase Gallagher had just helped Elara Dolan slay a formidable Mutated Zombie when he immediately sensed something was wrong.

"Dodge!"

An invisible surge of gas swept past the spot where the two had just been standing.

It was unmistakably a high-speed Wind Ball.

Fortunately, Chase was incredibly fast, shoving Elara aside just in time.

BANG!

The Wind Ball slammed into the wall behind them, gouging out a massive hole!

"An Intermediate Wind Element!"

Chase broke out in a cold sweat.

The group looked up and, sure enough, spotted a figure on a nearby rooftop.

A Wind Zombie had appeared there at some unknown point.

ROAR!

The Wind Zombie leapt down from the roof, but instead of landing on the ground, it hovered at a low altitude and lunged straight at them!

Jessica Vance was about to charge forward to meet the attack, but Nina Jacobs stopped her.

"It might be a Dual Element," Nina said.

In her eyes, this was likely a zombie with both the Wind Element and the Speed Element because that Wind Ball just now had been way too fast. If Jessica rushed in so recklessly, she would very likely get hit.

With Nina’s command, a Thunder Element Superpower shot toward the sky, instantly spreading from the surroundings toward the center.

The Wind Zombie was encircled by a ring of lightning, seemingly trapped.

"Wayne succeeded!" Jessica said in pleasant surprise.

But in the very next second, the Wind Zombie dove down at blinding speed. It was so incredibly fast that, despite the Thunder Element Superpower in hot pursuit, it managed to escape a step ahead.

"Focus on defense. I’ll go after it." Nina immediately tailed it after seeing the direction it fled.

This Wind Zombie would definitely return for another sneak attack; she had to intercept it!

Deep within a desolate forest, the Wind Zombie suddenly crashed into a wall of wind and sand.

"You can’t escape," Nina said.

Now that she was out of everyone’s sight, she could use both her Wind Element and Speed Element Superpowers simultaneously, allowing her to catch up to the zombie in no time.

ROAR!

The Wind Zombie spun around and instantly attacked her!

One Stone Spike after another burst from the ground at breakneck speed, transforming the desolate woods into a Stonethorn Forest. Several walls of wind and sand had already enclosed the area.

Nina, however, stood suspended in mid-air above the sharp Stone Spikes. With a mere lift of her hand, she effortlessly uprooted the Stone Spikes from the ground to block the Wind Zombie’s path.

In mere moments, the Wind Zombie’s movements were completely restricted. Not only that, but after a brief exchange of blows between the human and the zombie, the creature was entirely trapped within a stone cage floating in the air.

"I was just lacking a suitable helper."

Nina took out a piece of Divine Wood. The Stone Spikes inside the cage directly pierced a massive hole through the Wind Zombie’s abdomen. The Divine Wood was swiftly shoved into the hole.

In less than three minutes, the Wind Zombie’s roars completely ceased.

Nina looked at her newly crafted Puppet Zombie with satisfaction and ordered, "Hide here. Await my command."

She then took out a Little Zombie Rat and placed it on the zombie’s back shoulder. Unlike the other Little Zombie Rats, this one had a miniature walkie-talkie hanging from its neck.

This was a method she had experimented with back in Crestfall. The Puppet Zombie could hear her commands through the walkie-talkie on the rat. As long as the distance wasn’t too far, it would follow her orders.

Moreover, with the rat there, she also gained its field of vision.

When Nina returned, everyone breathed a sigh of relief.

"I told you the Captain would be fine.

"By the way, Captain, is that Wind Zombie dead?" Elara asked.

Nina shook her head. "It got away."

It got away?

Hearing this, the group instantly grew vigilant again. That Wind Zombie could return at any moment.

"I’ll keep watch. Let’s take a break for a while," Nina said.

They had been outdoors for nearly an hour, and a layer of frost had even formed on Warren Ramsey’s thick eyebrows.

"All right, let’s rest up," Warren agreed.

If they didn’t rest soon, their movements would freeze up completely.

"Hmph, we sure let those people get off easy. They didn’t even dare to step out of their vehicles." Sitting inside the warm, modified armored vehicle, Leo Hale watched the two cars that had finally started moving and scoffed.

Although there were still a few zombies lingering in the surroundings, the ones blocking the cemetery gates had all been wiped out by them.

And sure enough, those two cars bypassed them and drove straight into the cemetery.

"I really want to see who they are. What are they going into a graveyard for?" Warren said, watching the vehicles enter as he sipped his hot tea.

"Some teams hide their supplies in places others can’t find. Maybe they came out to retrieve them," Ian Chandler said.

He was well-traveled, after all. Nina smiled upon hearing this; he had hit the nail on the head. Liam Grant and his group were indeed here to collect supplies.

"Isn’t it too unsafe to leave supplies outside? They might as well keep them in the base," Alaric Fletcher said, finding the idea incomprehensible.

"Most of these people either lack a trustworthy Space Superpower User or have too many supplies. There are too many prying eyes in the base, so it isn’t actually any safer than leaving them outside," Ian explained.

Their rescue team would occasionally stumble upon extremely well-hidden supplies too. If a Superpower User had reported it in advance, they usually wouldn’t confiscate them. But if it hadn’t been reported, they would take it once they found it. After all, there was no reason to leave behind unclaimed supplies.

Of course, if some people were unlucky enough to have their painstakingly hidden stash discovered by other Superpower Users, they could only swallow the bitter pill.

"Just how many supplies must they have..." Yvonne Willow mused.

"Yeah." Nina picked up a cup of hot water, a new field of vision already unfolding in her mind.

It was the perspective of the Little Zombie Rat she had left on the roof of an abandoned building in the cemetery.

Inside the abandoned cemetery, the occupants of the two cars first stepped out to clear away the zombies. After circling the cemetery three times, one of the cars finally drove toward a specific spot.

"Quite cautious," Nina noted softly. Under the pretext of scouting the perimeter, she stepped out of the armored vehicle alone.

Liam parked the car behind a row of abandoned buildings. The architecture was somewhat unique. Through the rat’s perspective, Nina could even make out the unrotted, bold black-and-white characters on the structures.

Memorial Hall, Columbarium, Administrative Office Building...

Ultimately, Liam stopped behind the Columbarium. Leaning against the wall there was a pile of rotting and broken wreath stands. After Liam used a Fire Element Superpower to burn all the wreath stands to ash, an inconspicuous small door was revealed to the group.

"So that’s where it is," Nina thought, everything becoming clear to her.

Now, it would be up to her Puppet Zombie...

Liam had also brought along an Earth Element Superpower User and a Gold Element Superpower User. Just as the two were preparing to use their Superpowers to open the sealed door, a Wind Ball suddenly smashed into the adjacent wall!

Hannah Grant jumped in fright, her face instantly turning deathly pale.

"Damn it, didn’t Nina Jacobs go after it?

"It’s actually not dead?"

Seeing the Wind Mutated Zombie, Liam knew things had taken a turn for the worse.

"Hurry! We’re no match for it. Get in the car and run!" Zachary Barron yelled.

This Wind Zombie was the very same Intermediate Mutant Zombie from earlier. None of them had expected it to appear from behind! Zachary was very self-aware; he knew that not a single one of them was a match for it.

ROAR!

Sure enough, the Wind Zombie vaulted into the air and came flying right at them!

"Let’s move!" Liam shoved Hannah into the car before scrambling in after her.

They had to find a way to lure it away first.
