After the Divorce, My Wife and I Were Both Reborn
Chapter 379: Jiang Xia’s Guidance
Chapter 379 -375: Jiang Xia’s Guidance
Jiang Xia had been full of vigor all night, and Lin Yanwan was thoroughly worn out before she finally fell asleep very late.
He had to admit, those tonic foods were quite effective. He woke up at the crack of dawn without a trace of fatigue. If his fiancée hadn’t looked so exhausted, he would have been tempted to go for another round.
He threw on a T-shirt and shorts, went for a few laps around the residential complex’s garden, then came home and took a nice, relaxing shower.
It was the weekend, a day off. He could spend some quality time with his love, go shopping for clothes, see a movie, and then grab dinner at a nice restaurant. All the simple pleasures.
Seeing it was still early and that his fiancée likely wouldn’t be up for a while, he turned on his computer and idly started browsing videos on D Station.
The main thing holding back D Station’s growth right now was the inadequate hardware infrastructure. If smartphones became widely popular and the 4G era arrived sooner, D Station could very likely replicate the glory of B Station from his previous life.
‘Speaking of which, isn’t the iPhone 4 supposed to be coming out soon?’
Jiang Xia glanced at his BBK music phone and felt a sudden urge to replace it.
All of a sudden, he came across a video on legal education. The creator’s ID was “The Shy Legal Popularizer, Classmate Xiao Chen.” The girl on screen was, to his surprise, his old deskmate, Chen Yao. He’d never have guessed she’d follow the trend and become a creator on D Station.
He watched for a bit. The video was about criminal law cases, and the content was surprisingly lively and interesting. She had only posted three videos, but she already had several thousand followers.
On D Station at its current stage, that was already an impressive achievement. If she managed her channel well, she could potentially become one of the Top 100 Creators in the legal category in the future.
Feeling a sense of camaraderie for his old classmate, Jiang Xia gave her the full four-part combo: a like, a coin donation, a favorite, and a share. Then, he typed in the comments section: “Nice video.”
As the big boss behind Dili Dili, his D Station account was followed by a huge number of people. His every word and action was scrutinized and praised by his many followers.
As expected, his comment was bound to drive a massive amount of traffic to his old deskmate’s channel.
A short while later, Chen Yao’s comment section did indeed blow up. Hordes of people, drawn by his reputation, flocked to her video to see which creator President Jiang himself had singled out for praise.
Some people even joked around, asking if President Jiang had taken a fancy to the young lady. Wasn’t he satisfied with his own outstanding and beautiful fiancée?
Of course, these were just jokes. No one took them seriously.
Perhaps President Jiang was just doing his rounds, seeing which high-quality creators were worth cultivating.

「Peking University Dormitory」
After having breakfast in the cafeteria, Chen Yao habitually logged onto D Station. She was stunned to see that her follower count had somehow surpassed 30,000. She distinctly remembered having just over four thousand when she went to bed last night.
Her latest video had been posted five days ago; there was no way it had suddenly gone viral overnight, right?
Full of doubt, she opened her creator dashboard. She saw that her latest video’s view count had shockingly surpassed two hundred thousand, while her previous two videos only had forty to fifty thousand views each. The difference was staggering.
To get to the bottom of it, Chen Yao went to the video’s comment section. Usually, if something was up, the comments section held the answer.
And there it was: a top comment with tens of thousands of likes—
[Jiang Xia]: Nice video.
She clicked on his Tom the Cat profile picture. He was dual-verified as the CEO of Dili Dili and Qitian Animation. There was only one person in the entire country who fit that description.
Right below it was another comment: “Classmate Xiao Chen, you’ve been noticed by President Jiang!!!”
It had forty-five thousand likes, second only to Jiang Xia’s own comment.
Chen Yao’s eye twitched. ‘No wonder my follower count skyrocketed overnight,’ she thought. ‘So it was all that guy’s doing.’
She debated with herself for a long time before she finally gave in and sent Jiang Xia a message on QQ.
Come to think of it, even though Tsinghua and Peking University were right next to each other, they had barely spoken since starting college. Even when they went home for the holiday last year, they had only exchanged a single “Happy New Year” text on Lunar New Year’s Day, and that was it.
When Jiang Xia had produced the hit animation *Cat and Mouse*, she’d told herself that they were just in different fields; it didn’t mean she couldn’t become a titan in the legal world one day.
But starting this year, with the launch of Dili Dili—the community best suited for young people—and the massive popularity of the new show *Slam Dunk*, she realized the gap between herself and people like Jiang Xia was only getting wider.
“Thanks for the boost, Boss Jiang.”
Seeing the QQ message, Jiang Xia chuckled and quickly typed back, “No need to be so formal, old deskmate.”
“How did you know I was a creator on D Station?” Chen Yao asked, puzzled.
“I just stumbled across it by chance. To be honest, if you hadn’t been on camera, I probably wouldn’t have recognized you,” Jiang Xia replied.

Chen Yao was speechless. As a new, unknown creator on the platform, she had been discovered by Jiang Xia almost immediately. For a moment, she wasn’t sure whether to count it as good luck or bad.
“So, old classmate, what do you think of D Station?”
Chen Yao thought for a moment before typing, “It’s great. It gives ordinary people a chance to make their voices heard. Whether for showing off talents, discussing hobbies, or sharing educational content, D Station has given us a unique kind of platform.”
“Exactly. D Station is centered around content creation, building a new cultural community of users, creators, and the platform itself. That’s the only way to ensure sustainable growth,” Jiang Xia explained in simple terms.
“So, you’re going to strongly support creators? Which means my decision to become one was the right move,” Chen Yao asked.
“That’s right. Keep it up. I have high hopes for you, old deskmate.”
“Getting a stamp of approval from the boss of D Station himself. Should I be flattered?”
“Nah, forget it. In my memory, you’ve always had that cool, indifferent expression. Besides, you have such a baby face; I can hardly picture you looking flattered. Seriously, how did you even dare to use the word ‘shy’ in your username? I watched your video, and you don’t seem the least bit shy.”
Chen Yao: “…”
“I think if you put on a lolita outfit, dolled yourself up to be a bit cuter, and performed one of those otaku dances designed to attract old perverts, your popularity would be way higher than it is now.”
“Drop dead!” Chen Yao replied, her expression blank. “Believe it or not, if I screenshot this conversation and post it in the comments, your entire public image will crumble.”
For some reason, she didn’t feel intimidated by Jiang Xia. Even though he was a big-shot CEO now, their interactions felt pretty much the same as they always had.
“…You’re ruthless.”
“Now, how about some useful advice?”
“Fine. Your ID is actually decent. The ‘shy’ part creates a nice contrast with your baby-faced look, and a lot of netizens are into that. For your content, though, you could make it a bit more accessible.”
Jiang Xia was suddenly reminded of Professor Luo Xiang.
“If you want your audience to love your content, don’t just lecture stiffly about case studies. You need to be interactive. Let your viewers participate in the case hypotheticals. Position yourself as the teacher and them as your students. If you’re not sure how, just think about how your own professors teach their classes. Use more relatable, real-life examples. That approach to legal education might be much more effective.”
