Age of Wizards: I Can Analyze All Things
Chapter 525: A New Journey (The Grand Finale)
Gazing at the magnificent, colossal city in the distance, Yin Xue was lost in a daze.
Gu Lin also had a distant look on her face.
Only Annie remained relatively composed, though a flicker of deep feeling showed in her eyes.
“In the end, Pei Ze was still one step ahead.”
The Vampire Wizard sighed softly.
Building one’s own Floating City was the goal of every Rule Wizard.
But the cost of a Floating City was astronomical, so much so that even a Rule Wizard would struggle to afford it.
Backed by the Travelers’ Association, she had only just finished gathering the materials to construct her own. She had come this time to learn from Pei Ze’s experience and make preparations for building her own Floating City.
Yet Pei Ze had built his own Floating City in less than two hundred years after his promotion to Rule Wizard—a speed unparalleled in the entire Star Realm Alliance.
“Let’s go.”
Annie’s words snapped Yin Xue and Gu Lin out of their reverie. They averted their eyes and continued on toward the Floating City.
The closer they drew, the more palpable the city’s magnificence became.
Standing beneath the towering city walls and looking up, they had the illusion that the walls stretched on without end.
They could faintly make out the runic patterns etched into the walls’ surface.
A faint, shimmering layer of light enveloped the surface of the Floating City.
As if sensing their approach, the light flickered, and a gap opened just wide enough for the three of them to pass through, revealing the open city gates beyond.
Annie smiled and led the way through the gap toward the city gate.
Gu Lin and Yin Xue exchanged a glance and hurriedly followed.
As they passed through the gate, it was like entering another world. A wave of clamorous noise washed over them.
Before them was a wide, bustling main street.
They seemed to have arrived in a commercial district. Shops lined both sides of the street, which was crowded with a ceaseless flow of people, creating an incredibly lively atmosphere.
There were humans, but also other races such as barbarians, elves, dwarves, and fairies.
All the races coexisted in a harmonious atmosphere.
From time to time, formations of Vajra Golems marched down the street, dutifully carrying out their patrol missions.
Looking at the scene before her, Annie couldn’t help but sigh, “It seems this Floating City is almost complete.”
Gu Lin and Yin Xue both subconsciously nodded.
The bustling streetscape before them was undeniable proof that the Floating City’s development was well on track. Only a few final steps remained before it could separate from the earth, take flight, and be declared fully complete.
At this thought, looks of astonishment and envy appeared in both Gu Lin’s and Yin Xue’s eyes.
More than a hundred years had passed, and both of them had already advanced to Level 5 Wizards and established their own Wizard Towers.
In Chenxi City, they could already be considered powerful individuals.
But promotion to a Sixth-level Wizard still seemed a distant prospect.
To say nothing of becoming a Rule Wizard, a level even higher.
Even if one became a Rule Wizard, building a personal Floating City would be nearly impossible without millennia of accumulated resources.
After all, not everyone in the world was Pei Ze.
Shaking off their thoughts, the three continued on, passing through the prosperous streets toward the center of the Floating City.
In the distance, a tall tower in the central district pierced the sky like a great spear. Its majestic and imposing presence made it impossible to miss.
That was clearly the heart of the entire Floating City, and Pei Ze was most likely there.
Before long, the three of them arrived before the tall tower.
A Water Sprite was already waiting for them at the entrance.
Yin Xue recognized her as the butler from Pei Ze’s old Wizard Tower. Her name, she recalled, was Nymph.
“Welcome, esteemed guests. My master is waiting for you upstairs. Please, follow me.”
Nymph bowed to the three of them, then led them into the tower.
The moment they passed through the doorway, a silvery-bright light suddenly bloomed, filling their entire vision, then quickly dissipated.
When the three of them could see again, they found themselves on a lush, green prairie filled with the fluttering of songbirds.
A refreshing, heart-lifting fragrance filled the air.
“What rich Wood Elemental Energy.”
Annie exclaimed in admiration.
The energy was so concentrated that it was on the verge of transforming into a true elemental source.
A newly promoted Level 4 Wood Element Wizard cultivating in this environment could absolutely advance to a Level 5 Wizard within a century, even without any other resources.
As she was thinking, a delicate, bell-like laugh suddenly came from ahead.
Annie looked up and saw a group of fairies flying this way, playing and laughing. The one in the lead was a Ten Thousand Flowers Fairy.
“It’s Xiaoyi.”
Yin Xue and Gu Lin recognized the little one at once.
They had run into the little creature plenty of times during their past visits to Pei Ze’s Wizard Tower.
Flying closer, the Ten Thousand Flowers Fairy danced around the three of them, sizing them up. It seemed to recognize Yin Xue and Gu Lin, for it began to chirp with delight. Then it zipped over to sit on Yin Xue’s shoulder, pointed into the distance, and let out another cry, clearly showing them the way.
Yin Xue smiled faintly and walked in the direction she pointed.
Soon, an enormous Golden Oak Tree came into view. Its dense canopy glittered like a giant golden gemstone, shining with a dazzling luster.
“A Golden Oak Tree? Pei Ze even has such a rare creature here.”
Annie clicked her tongue in amazement.
Yin Xue and Gu Lin, on the other hand, remained calm.
The two of them had long known of Leiot’s existence.
Yin Xue even knew that Leiot and Pei Ze had made a hundred-year pact. The term had long since expired, yet Leiot hadn’t left; it had likely decided to stay for good.
The reason was obvious from the rich Wood Elemental Energy all around them.
This environment was irresistibly attractive to all plant life that walked the path of life.
