Chapter 801: Chapter 801 – Alphas Lamentations.

Corvine and Jasper weren’t members of the Alphas’ group chat because they believed having either of them there would be no different from having King Voren himself watching every conversation.

With the two of them out of the group, the other Alphas could express their fears, complain about their current situation, and discuss their concerns freely without worrying that their words would somehow find their way back to Voren.

Alpha Brad: Is this some kind of AI-generated video? King Voren really did that to the Lycan King?

Alpha Killian: This isn’t good at all. King Battal was our only hope, and he even helped me clear my debts. What am I supposed to do now?

Alpha Flex: I’m in the same boat. I always thought the Lycans were stronger than werewolves, so how the hell is something like this even possible? I’m calling King Battal right now.

Alpha Killian: I already tried, but his phone is switched off. That’s never happened before.

Alpha Curt: This is so fucked up. The Lycan King helped me recover from the financial mess the queen put me in because of Luna Liah, and I was counting on working with him to bring King Voren down. Now, what the hell am I supposed to do?

Alpha Cage: I still can’t figure out what makes our king so impossible to defeat. He didn’t even use his wolf or his wife’s powers, yet look at what he did to the Lycan King! How are we supposed to stand a chance against someone like him?

Alpha Dante: We’re doomed. Alpha Bright is probably the only one here who can afford to be happy because he received help directly from our king, so nobody can question where his strength comes from.

Alpha Bright: The Alpha King isn’t as bad as you all make him out to be. I used to be afraid of him, too, but over time, I realized that he values honesty. No matter how badly you’ve messed up your life, as long as you’re honest about your mistakes and genuinely willing to change, I believe he’ll help you instead of condemning you for your past.

Alpha Curt: That’s easy for you to say. You haven’t done the kind of evil things we’ve done, so you have no idea what you’re talking about.

Alpha Bright: I also don’t believe the Alpha King takes pleasure in stripping every Alpha of their position simply because they’ve done terrible things. That’s not what a real leader does. He’ll only remove you if you refuse to change and continue down the same path, even after being given a chance to make things right.

Alpha Killian: Why don’t we put that theory to the test, then? I’ll go straight to the Alpha King and confess everything I’ve done, and we’ll see if any of you ever hear from me again.

I’ll probably end up in the outlands, just like Alpha Dean and even King Jaron. Don’t forget that King Jaron is Alpha Corvine’s father-in-law, yet even that relationship didn’t stop the king from removing his body parts. Let’s be honest with ourselves here. The Lycans are a lot kinder than our own kind.

Alpha Bright: I beg to differ. Whatever help the Lycans offer, I believe they’ll make you pay for it a thousand times over. They’re some of the most cunning creatures alive, and they know exactly how to make people believe they’re getting a good deal when they’re actually being played.

Yes, the Alpha King is a no-nonsense man, but at least he’s straightforward about what he wants and what he expects from you.

Alpha Brad: Alpha Bright, since you trust the Alpha King so much to help us clean up our messes, why don’t you talk to him on my behalf? I’m willing to make amends if he’s prepared to help my pack get back on its feet.

I’ll return everything the Lycan King gave me, and I’ll do a much better job of managing our pack’s resources from now on. I know I’ve made mistakes, but I’m ready to do things differently if someone gives me the chance.

Alpha Flex: You’re all forgetting something important here. Instead of begging King Voren for mercy, why don’t we approach Alpha Ravyn? He’s managed to bounce back remarkably quickly, and if we can convince him to join forces with us, we could unite against King Voren and make Ravyn our king instead.

At least that way, we’d have someone who understands our situation and might actually be willing to fight for us.

After reading that last message, Ravyn pulled the phone away from Voren and Corvine, making sure neither of them could see what he was about to type.

He had no intention of letting the other Alphas drag him into another power struggle, especially when he had already learned how exhausting it was to fight for a crown that came with more enemies than peace.

Alpha Ravyn: Please count me out of this kingship battle. That crown is too heavy for my head, and I value my peace far too much to throw it away for the sake of becoming king.

I’d rather follow Alpha Bright’s suggestion and be honest about our situation. King Voren isn’t the monster you all think he is. You’ve simply become so accustomed to taking shortcuts that doing the right thing now seems like the hardest path imaginable.

Ravyn waited for a full minute, expecting at least one of the Alphas to challenge his response or offer another argument, but the group chat remained completely silent.

Not a single message appeared on the screen, and the sudden lack of complaints made him smile with satisfaction because, for once, he had managed to get them thinking instead of allowing their fear to dictate their next move.

He finally turned toward Voren, his expression carrying a mixture of curiosity and amusement as he held out the phone for him to see.

"So, what do you think?" he asked, raising his eyebrows slightly. "Are you going to help them get their lives back on track, or are you planning to remove them all from their positions?"

Voren’s response caught Ravyn so completely off guard that his smile disappeared almost immediately, while Corvine, who had been listening to the entire conversation, stared at the king in disbelief.
