Chapter 489: Chapter 321: Holy Shit! Golden Giant Dragon

He seemed a little excited and wanted to stand up, but ultimately held himself back.

He took a deep breath and fixed his eyes back on the monitor in front of him.

"Alright, last one for the morning," his voice echoed throughout the soundstage. "Scene 37, C-camera establishing shot, Infected passing through. Lights, get ready—"

"Actors in position!" the coordinator’s voice rang out.

A group of about fifteen or sixteen extras in full Infected makeup and costume filed out from the other end of the corridor.

Their skin was painted with a texture mixing gray-purple and ochre, and various forms of fungal growths sprouted from their faces, necks, and arms.

The head of the "Sound-Follower" (a type of zombie from the show) at the very front was replaced by a large, flesh-pink fungal cap, making it look like a person balancing a giant mushroom on their head.

They crossed the corridor with a bizarre gait.

’A cursed ruin...’

The Rubies in the Jester’s Skull’s eye sockets began to glow.

’The march of an undead legion... My master, you aren’t even thinking about concealing your aura. I admit that sometimes my praise for you is insincere, but right now, I must acknowledge your valor.’

’Over several millennia, I have seen similar undead legions. Their kings destroyed world after world; every single one of them was a cataclysmic figure.’

At this moment, the system unexpectedly popped up with a reward:

[You have witnessed the entire procession of an undead legion within a cursed ruin.]

[You felt no fear and did not retreat. You steadfastly protected your companions behind you until the legion withdrew.]

[In the face of the terrifying undead army, you displayed the bearing of a Knight and practiced the knightly virtue: Valor.]

[You have received 0.1 free attribute points.]

[This act was exceptionally brave.]

[You have received an additional 0.1 attribute points.]

[Reward: Free Attribute Points +0.2]

Li Wei looked at his panel, then at the first member of the undead legion who had passed the camera and was now asking a staff member for some water.

Then he looked back at Anya and the others, who were watching with great interest, and nodded.

’Yeah, real brave of me.’

Those 0.2 attribute points were well-deserved.

"Everyone!" the coordinator’s voice rang out. "That’s a wrap on this shot! We’ll continue at 1 PM!"

Craig Mazin eagerly stood up from behind the monitor and strode toward Li Wei.

"You must be Li Wei," he blurted out. "I’m a huge fan!"

Daria was stunned.

’Who’s supposed to be whose fan here? *The Last of Us* is a massive hit, one of the hottest shows of the last two years, and its producer and screenwriter just ran up to Li Wei like a little fanboy to tell him *he’s* a fan!’

’Daria had already elevated Li Wei’s status in her mind, but it turned out she had still underestimated him.’

"Hello, Mr. Mazin." Li Wei shook his hand.

"Can I get a picture with you?" Craig Mazin asked, a little awkwardly. "I’m a real Giants fan, not one of those fake, bandwagon types."

"Of course," Li Wei nodded.

Craig patted his pockets and realized he didn’t have his phone, so he shouted to a nearby photographer, asking him to come over with his camera.

It was only then that the rest of the film crew belatedly noticed Li Wei’s presence.

"Holy shit! Li Wei!"

"Which Li Wei? Who’s Li Wei?"

"Who else could it be? Li Wei from the Giants!"

"Holy shit! Li Wei!"

A young black guy from the lighting assistants’ team came scurrying over, carrying a reflector. Halfway there, he remembered he was still holding it, so he casually leaned it against the side of the path and kept running.

"Mr. Li Wei! Can I get a picture?"

Right behind him was another lighting assistant, still clutching a roll of black gaffer tape.

Then came people from the camera department, the sound department, the grips, an assistant from the art department...

They emerged from every corner of the soundstage, clutching scripts or work IDs to be used for autographs, and all but ran over.

Jason Miller immediately switched modes, flanking Li Wei with Chen Haisheng to protect him.

Li Wei, however, was very cooperative. He stopped for every staff member who ran up, shaking their hand, taking a photo, and exchanging a few words.

It made Daria wonder even more who the real Hollywood professionals were. ’These people must have seen plenty of stars, so why were they acting so crazy in front of Li Wei?’

She was about to say something, but after a glance at the proud look on Anya’s face, she decided to keep quiet after all.

Li Wei signed autographs for a dozen or so people, and the scene gradually became more orderly.

Then—

A series of heavy footsteps echoed from the depths of the set.

Everyone instinctively turned to look.

Four of the Infected extras, who hadn’t taken off their makeup yet, were running over from the other end of the corridor.

They were still wearing their full costumes from the shoot. The one running at the very front was none other than the "Sound-Follower" from before.

His fungal cap bobbed up and down as he ran, and fake fungal spores fell from his body.

One of the extras behind him had a prop tied to his right leg, and he followed along with a limp.

"Wait for me! Wait for me!" he shouted. "My leg! The prop on my leg is stuck!"

"Mr. Li Wei! We’re all your fans!"

A handsome guy finished taking a group photo with four zombie extras.

The fan meet-and-greet lasted for over twenty minutes. Jason, figuring that was enough, walked up to Li Wei and signaled that it was time to leave.

But Craig Mazin, beating Jason Miller to the punch, sensed his intention and spoke up to keep Li Wei there:
