Chapter 1634: Part 2: Facing the Council Elders
United City (Tier-3 Sub Post)
I heard the words of the other elders. Everyone was saying the same thing. It was a unanimously made decision.
Hearing that, I agreed. I didn’t have another choice. In fact, I wanted to fight against the foreign creatures. Besides, the next battlefield was going to be more dangerous.
I was sure the elders had thought it through. Next, I was given permission to leave. Someone would send the resources to my residence.
I wasn’t alone. Senior Marie came with me. We entered the elevator. I was quiet. Marie wanted to say something, but she was quiet as well.
She said, "I have lost some people I knew on the battlefield. The Elite Race Venom Maws are too strong. Even the Red Mark Warriors in the Main Post won’t be able to defeat them."
Her tone sounded serious.
She added, "It was clear that they were all here for you. They wanted to eliminate you. So they sent the elite race to all the secret land battlefields."
Hearing that, I didn’t know what to say. I was quiet. Then I thought it was best to say something, so I offered my apology.
"Like the Elder said, it was not your fault. Our human side is weak. We have all been working hard, but we will never be able to reach your level," Marie said.
I was quiet. Soon, the elevator reached the ground floor. We exited the council building. After coming out to the street, we separated. She had some work to do.
Then I began to wait for a cab. It didn’t take long for one to come. I hopped inside the cab and told the driver my destination.
He started driving. I leaned back and closed my eyes. The conversation that took place in the council was replaying in my mind.
Meanwhile,
The council elders were still seated in their seats.
"That young man is really strong. He could even injure us," an old man from Silver University said.
"Why are you being humble?"
"That young man can easily kill you," an elder from Eclipse University said.
Hearing that, everyone burst into laughter. The laughter was much needed in this tense environment. The elder looked embarrassed, but he sighed inwardly.
Because he, too, had felt that sense of crisis earlier.
20 minutes later,
I returned to my residence. I went to the sofa to lie down. That meeting was something. I didn’t even turn on the TV to watch the news.
I thought the news would probably be negative about me. I didn’t think the council elders made that decision just like that. Without me, they were going to face total annihilation in the next battle.
And there was no saying that the foreign creatures would stop then. They would probably continue to do so until they were sure I wasn’t there.
It might cause them to lose more than two hundred Red Mark Warriors. I shook my head. It was something the council elders had to think about.
I closed my eyes to take a rest.
...
Dark Planet.
The high command on the foreign creature side was terrified by the results. The oval-shaped, weird, and winged creatures were all petrified once again.
They had won the battles in the other nine secret land battlefields. It was a complete victory. But they only cared about the first secret land battlefield.
The battle result had shaken them once again. Then the three high command creatures watched the footage of the first secret land battlefield along with the other elders.
They saw that Zack Lockwood had killed the Venom Maws on his own. It had overturned their cognition. They understood that the target was not on their level.
He could already fight against the Venom Maws. He should be treated as a Quasi-God Seed. A Quasi-God Seed target was handled by a similar Quasi-God Seed.
They had already reported to their superiors. The higher-up was none other than the Quasi-God Elder. He was another Venom Maw.
He had sent his family members to the secret land battlefield. Ten of them had died in the first secret land battlefield. They were all killed by the target.
The three high command creatures could already imagine the mood. They thought it must be chaos out there. If the news spread, it would cause embarrassment to the Venom Maw Race.
They would become a laughingstock in front of the other elite race members.
Meanwhile,
Somewhere on the private land of the Venom Maw Elite Race.
Shriek!
A weird, high-pitched sound was shaking the skies and the earth. The place was filled with dark energy. It was the residence of the Quasi-God Venom Maw.
The Quasi-God Venom Maw had been behaving like this for some time. It was going to destroy the whole place if it continued to run rampant like this.
Like the human side, the dark planet had a special energy called dark origin. The current habitat was filled with even more dark origin.
If the place was destroyed, it would cause losses to the others.
Soon, the disturbance was felt by other Quasi-God Forces. They immediately tried to contact the Quasi-God Venom Maw.
But the Quasi-God Venom Maw didn’t respond. Its anger was high. It couldn’t believe the fact that the human target had killed ten Elite Race members.
On top of that, the human target was only a Purple Mark Warrior. It was a great humiliation for the entire race.
If the Race Members had died at the hands of Red Mark Warriors, they would have had some face left to save.
But it was different when it came to a Purple Mark Warrior. Others would think they were weak despite having the dark origin power.
The Quasi-God Venom Elder was confused and shocked by the situation. How could a Purple Mark Warrior slay an Elite Race member who used dark origin power?
It knew that the human side had a similar source of energy called Special Energy. But that power could only be used by Red Mark Warriors and above.
At the Purple Mark Rank, it was hard to come into contact with such power. It knew that humans had two sides separated exactly for this reason.
The Purple Mark humans and some average Red Mark humans couldn’t handle the power of special energy.
