Another World Mall
Chapter 1115: Why Created This World?
"Players are..." Clovis took a deep breath. "Players are the real people who enter this world, or maybe the people whose data has been stored directly into this world. I mean, look at Melody and Luci.
"Melody created this world and Luci was developing the fluid to maintain me. It was natural for them to become players. Meanwhile, Jay and the others had their own roles in the real world, so they didn’t have time to enter this world.
"There is also Mara, who might also be involved in this. Maybe... going in and out from time to time. That’s probably why you kept hearing the voices, Mara.
"The only conclusion I could find right now is that I’m the only player who has been active from the start of this game. There might be someone else. What is your player ID, Mara? Mine is #00002."
"#00003," Mara answered.
"Mine was #00005." Luci pointed at herself.
"Mine was an error. I couldn’t even see my own number. I could be the first, as I was the one who created this world, or I could be the fourth." Melody sighed.
"I don’t think so. You are the only one different, Melody." Clovis shook his head. "While all of us have player code, your notification is something like, Player Integration. Code ’#0000-’ or something like that. It doesn’t tell us that you’re a player. If we think this is a game, maybe you are not a player but a GM."
Melody thought for a moment before puffing her chest. "Call me Goddess Melody, everyone!"
Clovis just chuckled. Thankfully, his team seemed to be taking this information in a positive way. They didn’t stress it excessively.
"Yeah, yeah. Goddess Masochist." Christina politely bowed to her.
Melody harrumphed.
"Still, this leaves a question. Who is Player #00001 and Player #00004? There is no telling that #00005 is the limit." Hana contemplated, feeling suspicious.
"I don’t know. Most likely, one of them is the Prophet." Clovis dropped another bomb.
"What? How can that be?"
"How can the prophet, our enemy, be the first person? In fact, if he’s our enemy, why would he enter this world? The others would have been able to figure this out, right? Melody should be able to get rid of him, no?" Kanaria frowned.
"That’s the problem. I’m afraid that the Prophet has done something. If following my code, I speculate that the Prophet links his information to Clovis and the others. This way, if I forcefully delete it, the others will be deleted as well." Melody frowned.
"Can’t you just flush it out and remake everything?" Erwin asked. "I mean, you can do that, right?"
"This is a simulation world that is linked directly to Clovis. Clovis is supposed to be the one benefiting from this simulation world. And to do that, I might even have to fill out the information of other existences, such as the top ten strongest people as well as nature movement. I’d probably let this world marinate first to create its own history before Clovis entered this game. If I reset everything because of the Prophet, I had to restart the world, which would require more time to let it recreate its history."
Clovis nodded in understanding. "That’s why the Prophet remains. Maybe the death of my grandmother was related to this. The Prophet might have entered this world a long time ago, and you didn’t know it.
"If the Prophet was the enemy, it was only natural that he wanted to stop me from leaving this world.
"Most likely, the key to leaving this world was to enter all seven towers. I’m sure that you have seen the notification whenever we enter the special tower.
"In other words, I have to accomplish my original objective here and leave this world. There are a few problems, though."
Jay sighed. "Are you talking about our relationship? If we are all just data while you are a real person, what will our relationship be? If you return to that world, does this mean this world will be dead? We are not living people, so that fact alone is quite stressful."
"That’s..." The others just realized the severity of the situation.
Clovis smiled. "Don’t worry. I will probably return to this world as well. You are you, the person in reality is that person. You guys are different."
"I think this is a much better question." Melody raised her finger. "Does this mean you have like... twin wives? Is this considered cheating?"
"!!!" Kanaria, Luci, Hana, and Vina widened their eyes in shock. They had never thought about it.
Since they were different, the best description of them would probably be twins from another world.
Mara, on the other hand, simply said, "Is that even a question? You have accepted him with other women. Why would another version of us be a problem? At least you know your own personality and know how you will treat them? Besides, the fact that he’s allowed to enter this world means the other versions of us have approved this."
Mara’s nonchalant attitude was somehow more convincing than anything. Even if Clovis tried to convince them, they couldn’t exactly agree with him.
In the end, the matter could be solved if they just didn’t think much about it.
"That’s true. For now, we should focus on leaving this world. You’d better come back, Clovis. You need to tell us the experience in reality. Maybe you can create a clone or something in reality and bring us to reality, like importing our data?" Kanaria smiled, thinking it was a good idea.
"I understand." Clovis nodded. "I will do my best, but I don’t even know the situation out there. Besides, what kind of objective do I have in this world? Why would I need to enter this world in the first place? According to the voice, we’re strong, but it’s still not enough, so I have to enter this world. But why?"
"That’s a good question. Why?" Kanaria snapped her fingers. "I actually can’t think of anything."
"Same here."
"Well, we should think about it. It might be the next clue. Or we should prepare for the engagement party as well as the next tower."
