Chapter 1118: Families

"Welcome to the big family, everyone." Erwin smiled as the light shone on the stage. Angelia accompanied him as the MC.

They could see the people from various families sitting in their respective seats. Still, it looked like they had been talking to each other, taking advantage of the opportunity to get to know other powerful families.

The Elseingarde family was especially popular, while the Hacfield family wasn’t present earlier, considering the main combatants were taking care of the protection.

Meanwhile, Aisha was the one helping with the makeup.

Erwin said, "I am honored to be the one chosen as the MC for my captain, Clovis Hacfield. As captain, he has done a lot of things that are normally impossible for other captains. Our accomplishment is proof of it.

"And today, it is time for us to slow down and pursue our own happiness. Clovis Hacfield is fortunate to have five fiancees.

"I would like to invite the brides’ families to introduce themselves." Erwin raised his hand. "The first is the Renvolt family. Please stand up."

The light illuminated Kanaria’s father and mother.

They both stood up and waved to the others as the others applauded them.

"The next is Dante, the brother of Melody."

Dante came with his girlfriend this time. He was the only surviving member of the family, and he couldn’t repay Melody for doing everything she could for him to finally stand here.

"I’d like to welcome Dr. Douglas, Lucifania’s adoptive father as well as her teacher."

An old man with long white hair tied neatly on his back stood up and humbly bowed to them.

"Then, I’d like to invite the Skylark family to greet everyone here." Erwin smiled.

This time, only Hana’s parents were illuminated by the light. Meanwhile, her grandparents just clapped in the background.

Jeremy personally didn’t care who was recognized, even though he was the one who did most of the work.

What truly mattered to him was that his granddaughter, who was married to her work, had finally changed and gradually lowered the portion of her work so that she could have a family. This was more than enough for him.

"Last but not least, I’d like to welcome the Elseingarde family." Erwin shifted in another direction.

Ezekiel and Lues stood up. Unfortunately, Christina no longer had her grandmother or her mother with her. After all, her grandmother had long passed away from old age. Ezekiel was still with her simply because he had reached Tier 9, so his lifespan increased.

On the other hand, Christina’s mother passed away shortly after her birth.

That was why Ezekiel and Lues were the only ones to represent the Elseingarde family.

Lues still loved his late wife to the point where he didn’t even consider another wife, despite being able to. Christina knew that, which was why she asked Clovis to let her nurture the children she gave birth to in the Elseingarde family. After all, she wanted to continue the Elseingarde family’s legacy.

"Last but not least, I would like to invite the Hacfield family." Erwin smiled.

Surprisingly, only Gerald was present. Then again, Aisha and Michael were still doing their tasks.

"Would you like to have a word, Mr. Gerald?"

Gerald received the microphone and stated, "Thank you for coming today. This is truly a great day as our children’s relationships come to fruition. As parents, all we need to do is watch over them.

"I am a man of not many words, so I will just say that Clovis is truly lucky to have so many lovely and capable ladies. The Hacfield family welcomes you."

"Thank you, Mr. Gerald. Clovis is truly lucky to have such lovely and capable ladies. In that case, how about we have Clovis himself admit how lucky he is?" Erwin raised his hand. "Let us welcome the captain of the Libation Fiesta, Clovis Hacfield."

Clovis entered the room with a smile, greeted by a warm round of applause.

"Well, my brother. You will now soon show your commitment to your relationship. Do you have anything you’d like to say first?"

Clovis smiled. "When I first started my career as an explorer, I struggled a lot. However, I was a rather fortunate man because I could walk on my path with the people I cherished..."

Clovis first started recounting his journey before he finally introduced everyone’s roles, especially Kanaria and the rest of the girls.

"...Kanaria is special. She is diligent and careful. I’m fortunate to have her as my fiancee."

"Wow. I guess we will have Kanaria to say her own piece as well." Erwin raised his hand. "In that case, we would like to invite the lady to come to the stage."

The door was opened. Kanaria finally entered the stage. She wore an elegant white dress that looked elegant but a bit casual. She gracefully tied her hair into a ponytail.

While waving her hand, she walked toward Clovis and hugged him.

Erwin continued with all the other girls as Clovis introduced them one by one, showing how lucky he was to have her.

Each of them dressed lightly for the engagement party, but still showed their respective strengths. For Melody, she looked casual and energetic. Luci had a playfulness mixed into her dress.

Christina had elegance and courage, while Hana looked a bit formal but graceful.

Each family was feeling proud of their union. They exchanged vows and greeted the guests.

Of course, Clovis didn’t invite the five girls’ families. He also invited the families of all members of the Libation Fiesta.

However, people like Ragna and Angelia didn’t bring anyone with her. Even Rin only had her father, who was also helping in the kitchen.

So, the number of guests wasn’t exactly high.

Eventually, Michael returned to the venue after making sure that the blood didn’t dirty his clothes. Aisha also came out to greet the guests.

Sadly for most guests, they didn’t know that there were two more people who would be introduced.

Vina was the person who would be in charge of their information network in the future. Silvia and Maya accompanied her, but they didn’t openly show themselves. Silvia was just happy that she could watch Clovis at his engagement party.

The last person was Mara. She might have no family, but she was probably the strongest person in this room, surpassing even Michael and Ezekiel.

Still, only a glimmer of people would be lucky enough to meet the other two fiancees.
