When Perry Yates turned to see what was attacking her, she was met with the fierce gaze of a black Saber-Toothed Tiger. The beast looked to be about five meters tall, and its claws had just slammed down right where she had been standing moments before.

If she hadn’t dodged in the nick of time, that claw would have landed right on her.

Just then, a mocking voice drifted over.

"Tsk, tsk, tsk. Look what I’ve found. A pretty little mouse."

As the voice rang out, Perry saw a woman perched on the black Saber-Toothed Tiger’s back, staring at her. The woman wore red, a black cloth covered her eyes, her skin was deathly pale, and her mouth was filled with sharp, shark-like teeth.

She licked the corners of her mouth with a bright red tongue, like a cat spotting a tasty mouse.

Her words made it clear: the woman didn’t see her as any kind of threat.

"We’ll see who the mouse is."

With that, Perry Yates decisively went on the offensive. The lightweight armor on her body expanded in an instant, encasing her completely.

Then, the ground began to tremble. Countless rock spikes shot up from beneath the Saber-Toothed Tiger’s belly.

The Saber-Toothed Tiger dodged the attack with ease.

Seeing this, the woman on the Saber-Toothed Tiger laughed even more wildly.

"Is that all you’ve got? If so, I’ll be taking your little life. No, wait. You’re too pretty. It’d be a waste to just kill you. I’m going to turn you into a doll and put you with the rest of my collection."

Having said her piece, the woman burst into loud laughter—a sharp, piercing sound.

As she cackled, her once-delicate mouth began to stretch wider and wider, her voice gradually twisting into something bizarre.

Just then, as Perry Yates watched the woman, the corner of her mouth curled into a barely perceptible smirk.

As if sensing danger, the woman’s laughter stopped abruptly, and she instinctively dodged to the side.

SPLASH!!

Blood splattered everywhere, pooling on the ground.

The Saber-Toothed Tiger that had just attacked Perry Yates now lay on the ground, split in two, its eyes wide open in death.

As for the woman, she had sensed the danger and tried to dodge, but she wasn’t quite fast enough. One of her arms was sliced clean off.

At least she was still alive.

The woman stared at her lost arm, her expression shifting from shock to pure rage.

It was like being defeated by an ant you utterly despised. Even without an audience, the humiliation would gnaw at your mind until you lost all reason.

The woman was now at that stage, but Perry Yates had no intention of giving her a chance to recover.

She activated Safety Butler 001’s flight mode and continued her assault with the Moon Blade.

With its ability to cut through anything, the Moon Blade was the bane of all who relied on a strong defense.

However, this woman was clearly no pushover. Her severed arm quickly stopped bleeding, healed, and a new arm grew in its place.

"I’ve changed my mind. I’m going to make you die in the most painful way possible."

High in the sky, Perry Yates rolled her eyes. ’As if I care.’

The Moon Blade struck at the woman again. This time, it flew past, grazing her neck. It had missed beheading her by a hair’s breadth.

"Die!"

The woman roared. The next second, her body began to rapidly expand. Within a few breaths, she had transformed from a person into a black shark with red stripes.

A layer of blood-red energy enveloped the shark, allowing it to swim through the air.

"ROAR!"

The shark’s blood-red eyes locked onto Perry Yates. It opened its great maw and lunged, as if trying to tear her to shreds.

Perry Yates maneuvered through the air with Safety Butler 001, dodging while simultaneously directing the Moon Blade to attack the shark.

The shark was enormous and focused solely on Perry Yates, so the Moon Blade left a deep gash with every strike.

However, the shark was simply too large. While every hit drew blood, none of them were fatal.

Meanwhile, Perry Yates’s agility kept her just out of the shark’s reach, locking them in a stalemate.

After a while, Perry Yates started to grow anxious. ’We’re at a standstill, but if another Executor shows up, this balance will be shattered. I have to find a way to finish this shark, and fast!’

With this in mind, Perry Yates urged, "Is the analysis finished yet?"

"View."

[Name: Abyssal Cetus

Race: The Abyssal Aquans

Description: A dominant species from Arcanazul that prefers to inhabit cold, deep-sea regions. It is brutal by nature, highly sensitive to the scent of blood, fiercely territorial, and possesses extreme arrogance, looking down on all other species. After being abandoned by the system, it developed a deep hatred for the survival game and now takes pleasure in torturing and killing human Croupiers. Any Croupier it captures is turned into a "souvenir."

Weaknesses: Eyes and belly. If the Abyssal Cetus is flipped over, belly up, it will be unable to move for three seconds.]

’Flipping something that big over seems... difficult, given my size and just the Moon Blade,’ Perry Yates thought, glancing at the Abyssal Cetus’s massive form. ’But attacking its eyes and belly? That I can do.’

With that thought, Perry Yates directed the Moon Blade toward one of the Abyssal Cetus’s eyes while she used her own weapon to attack the other.

However, just as she was about to succeed, a golden light flashed over the Abyssal Cetus’s eye. The next second, the Moon Blade was sent flying.

A few shards fluttered to the ground.

They were the fragments of a destroyed card, meaning it was now completely useless.

’So the Moon Blade can damage not just living things, but cards too,’ she thought. ’But it’s not enough.’

At that moment, Perry Yates seemed to sense something. She looked up and saw that the moon had appeared in the sky, and now there were two of them.

Perhaps influenced by the crimson moon, Perry Yates felt the Moon Blade’s energy destabilize. The blade, which normally glowed with white and blue light, had turned red and was beginning to grow in size.
