Chapter 459: Chapter 459: Do Something Else

After dancing his fill, Roman Rowe ambled down and came over to Lily Hart.

He saw her staring dazedly at someone else’s drink, and a sense of panic washed over him. He immediately grabbed her hand to leave.

"Let’s go, let’s go. We should head back. It’s stuffy and hot in here—not fun at all."

A string of excuses tumbled from his lips, and Lily Hart was pulled away before she knew what was happening.

By the time she processed it, they were already past the bar. She met Linnie Shaw’s eyes, saw her silent goodbye, and waved back.

Seeing Lily Hart leave, Owen Warren stopped dancing and followed them out of the bar.

A blast of cold wind hit them the moment they stepped outside, but Lily Hart didn’t find it cold.

She was wearing insulated clothing and had smartly put on a down jacket before they left.

She glanced at Roman Rowe, who was only in a long-sleeved white shirt, and then at Owen Warren, who wore just a thin jacket.

"Aren’t you two cold?" Lily Hart asked.

He’d been fine until she mentioned it. The moment she did, Roman Rowe felt the frigid wind whipping at him and hastily pulled on his jacket.

Owen Warren shrugged. "Cold? I feel nothing."

Roman Rowe pouted. ’What a show-off. So what if you’re a Tenth-tier Zombie? Is that supposed to be impressive?’

The hail had stopped, but traces of it remained.

The ground was littered with translucent spheres of ice, each a testament to the severity of the recent hailstorm.

Lily Hart sighed and instinctively checked the temperature. Still negative thirty degrees.

The three walked back, parting ways in front of the RV. Owen Warren headed to the bathhouse.

Roman Rowe, however, followed Lily Hart into the RV. She turned around, puzzled. "Huh? Aren’t you going back to the clinic?"

He shook his head. ’Go back for what? It’s not like I’m needed there.’

He trailed right behind Lily Hart. When she sat down on the sofa, he immediately plopped down beside her.

He sat very close to her, leaving only a fist’s width of space between them.

Then, inch by inch, Roman Rowe stealthily shuffled closer to Lily Hart until he was pressed right up against her.

Lily Hart frowned at him. "What are you doing? Why are you sitting so close?"

Roman Rowe didn’t answer. He simply threw his arms around her, burying his face in her neck to inhale her scent.

"It’s nothing! We haven’t cuddled in so long, so I just want to cuddle with you more~"

But just holding her wasn’t enough; he also had to rock her gently from side to side.

Lily Hart let her guard down, allowing him to sway her back and forth. She leaned into him, letting her full weight rest in his arms.

The gentle rocking was surprisingly comfortable, like being in a cradle.

It made her feel incredibly sleepy.

She rested her head on his shoulder, her cheek pressing against his neck as she slowly closed her eyes.

She felt like she could drift off at any moment. But just as she was about to fall asleep...

Roman Rowe suddenly spoke. "Lily, what do you want to eat later this afternoon?"

"I’m fine with anything. I like whatever you make," Lily Hart replied, her voice hazy with sleep.

Roman Rowe perked up at that and immediately let her go. The sudden movement jolted Lily Hart awake, chasing away all her drowsiness.

"What are you up to now?" Lily Hart asked, confused. ’This guy is as fidgety as a hyperactive kid.’

Roman Rowe’s eyes were fixed on her lips, and he couldn’t help but swallow.

He was suddenly reminded of the way she’d looked back at the bar, staring dazedly at that other person’s drink.

’Am I just like her right now,’ he wondered, ’with that same look of longing and desire in my eyes?’

He didn’t look any longer. He leaned in and kissed her, tightening his arms around her bit by bit.

His embrace was so tight that Lily Hart could barely move. Seizing a moment when they broke for air, she quickly gasped, "Loosen up, Roman Rowe!"

Roman Rowe relaxed his hold slightly, blinking his innocent eyes at her.

"What’s wrong?" He even sounded aggrieved. ’What’s the big deal?’

Lily Hart glared at him. "What do you think? You were holding me so tight! Do you expect me to breathe?!"

Roman Rowe rubbed her arm soothingly. "Of course, of course! I just couldn’t help myself for a second..."

He leaned in to kiss her again, but Lily Hart wasn’t in the mood right now.

She pushed him away slightly. "Let’s do something else. I don’t feel like kissing right now."

Roman Rowe wasn’t hurt or discouraged. He simply asked, "Then what do you want to do? I’ll do it with you, whatever it is."

Lily Hart sat cross-legged on the sofa, leaning back and completely relaxing.

Her mind went blank. "I don’t know. I just want to sit here until it’s time for dinner."

Roman Rowe copied her, kicking off his shoes and sitting cross-legged on the sofa.

He leaned back against the sofa too. His hand, the one closer to her, stealthily crept over and hooked her pinky finger.

Lily Hart added, "It would be even better if I had some milk tea and a little cake~ I’m craving that mango mousse!"

The moment he heard that, Roman Rowe shot up from the sofa. "Mango mousse? I’ll go buy some! What else do you want? I’ll bring it all back!"

He was incredibly enthusiastic.

Lily Hart furrowed her brow and thought hard for a moment before shaking her head. "That’s it. Just that for now."

"Okay." Roman Rowe slipped on his shoes and darted out of the RV in a flash.

Lily Hart watched his frantic, hurried back, finding it somewhat amusing.

’I could just buy one from the Mall,’ she thought, ’but freshly made cake is always more delicious.’

In less than two minutes, Roman Rowe was back with a mango mousse.

The mango mousse from the cake shop was small, not even the size of her palm, but it was incredibly delicious.

It was topped with a few chunks of mango, its texture soft and dense. In the middle was a layer of crushed Oreos, and a layer of cake.

All in all, the texture was rich and wonderful.

Lily Hart had been hooked ever since she first tried it; she had to buy one every time she went to the cake shop!

Paired with a cup of milk tea—a bite of mango mousse, a sip of milk tea—this was the good life.

Seeing her eat so happily, Roman Rowe also took out a mango mousse and started eating.

The two sat side by side, each holding a mango mousse, with satisfied smiles on their faces.

But the mango mousse was too small. Lily Hart finished it in just a few bites, and she still wanted more.

Roman Rowe noticed and asked, "Want more? I also bought mango mille-crepe cake, cream puffs, and mochi~"

Lily Hart thought for a moment. "Cream puffs! Cream puffs! I want a cream puff!"

Roman Rowe smiled, immediately handed over a box of cream puffs, and cheerfully opened it for her.

She reached for one, but Roman Rowe mischievously pulled it away, not letting her grab it.

Lily Hart glared at him. Roman Rowe just smiled, took out a cream puff, and held it right to her lips. "Ahh~"

She opened her mouth and took a bite, but not without shooting him another glare.

The puff’s outer shell was slightly chewy, but the inside was filled with a sweet, soft cream that instantly flooded her entire mouth.

Roman Rowe paid no mind to her glare. Seeing her chew and swallow, he was about to feed her a second one.

Just then, Frost Shaw walked up. The scene that greeted him was Roman Rowe feeding a cream puff to Lily Hart.

To be honest, the sight was a little jarring.

Frost Shaw wanted to look away, but he couldn’t stop himself from watching.

Lily Hart swallowed the cream puff he’d fed her and, noticing Frost Shaw, called out, "Are you done with your work? Want some cake?"

"Hmph!" Roman Rowe snorted softly beside her. ’He was the one who braved the cold wind to buy these.’

’He didn’t want to share with anyone else. He only wanted Lily to have them!’

Hearing her offer, Frost Shaw paused. He had been on his way to the kitchen, but he changed course and walked over to the sofa instead.

He reached out and picked up a cream puff. His eyes were on Lily Hart, but his hand brought the puff to his mouth. "Very delicious," he said.

His tone was flat, dampened by his low spirits.
