Chapter 15: Trying Things Out

The wolf, which was as tall as Riley was, made it an easy target for him.

He fired rapidly with his Desert Eagle that was in his hands.

Bang!

The gunshot rang in the air and the body of the wolf was hit.

Fur and some of the flesh were ripped off by the bullets but it wasn’t a serious wound.

The bullet wasn’t able to get too deep into the body.

Blood oozed out from its wounds and it made the wolf enraged.

It gave out a low growl and it went for the student that was in front of it.

Snap.

The wolf snapped at the student with its sharp fang and the student stumbled onto the ground when he tried to get away.

Lin quickly unleashed his ability and a wall made of soil appeared between the wolf and the student before the wolf could make its next move.

Crash.

The wolf snapped at the student again, bashing through the wall easily.

Thankfully, the student was no longer at the position where he was.

The wolf’s attack missed and the students nearby hurled their abilities at it.

Fireballs came at the wolf and the flames caught onto the fur of the wolf but it died down after a few moments.

Riley took the opportunity to have a good aim at the wolf and he opened fire at it.

Bang!

The gunshot from his Desert Eagle could be heard again, and the rounds hit onto the head of the wolf this time, with one of the rounds lodging into the eye of the wolf.

Pain struck the wolf and it thrashed its head around in pain.

Riley wanted to continue and finish the job but he heard Terry’s voice shouting at him.

Another wolf had come out from the dark fog and it came right at his head.

The ghastly mouth of the wolf with blood stain on the fangs was coming nearer and nearer at him.

He tried to turn his body to aim his Desert Eagle at the wolf. 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚

But in the next moment, the wolf was knocked to the side by someone.

Terry had lunged at the wolf from its side with his shoulder which he turned into a metallic form.

His physique as an S Level Awakened overpowered these wolves.

"I didn’t know you can do this!" Riley shouted as he took aim and pulled the trigger.

Bang!

The shots hit the body of the wolf and made it bleed, but it wasn’t enough to take it down.

"Let me show you how it’s done!" Terry lunged at the wolf and the wolf got up to snap at him with its sharp fangs.

Riley quickly fired at it and his shots lodged themselves into the eye and took out a few of its teeth from its mouth.

The pain caused the wolf to miss and it stopped right next to Terry.

Terry came at it and grabbed onto the head with his arm.

He glanced over at Riley and said, "What are you waiting for?"

Riley ran up to the wolf at its front and aimed at it with his guns.

The wolf tried to struggle free and it opened its bleeding mouth to try and bite at Riley.

Bang!

Riley emptied the bullets into the mouth of the wolf and the bullets were able to rupture through the soft tissue that was inside the mouth this time.

The wolf convulsed and it thrashed around, lifting Terry up into the air for a moment.

Then, it stopped and lay onto the ground motionlessly.

It was finally dead.

While this was happening, things weren’t going too well at the other side.

Lin and some of the other students were wounded by the other wolf.

Their clothes were now smudged with their own blood that was seeping through the wounds on their body.

"Get him from the left while I try to trap it." Lin shouted and he began to build up a wall that would surround the wolf.

And the other students hurled whatever they could from the left.

But their attacks could only cause minor injuries on the wolf and it ignored them.

The wolf stared at Lin and it lowered its head, giving out a low growl while baring its fangs at him.

Then, it lowered its legs and prepared to charge Lin.

Lin tried as much as he could to create the wall but he was too slow.

It was within an instant before the wolf could reach him, but when it tried to, gunshots could be heard.

Alex, with his pistols in his hands each, fired at the wolf.

Most of the rounds missed with some of the rounds hitting it, but they couldn’t cause too much of any damage.

The bullets went into the wolf’s body but it was unable to get too deep into it.

However, he didn’t stop until he emptied the rounds in the pistols.

And when they were empty, he took out another two pistols and continued with it.

Bang!

The burst of fire went on and the suppressing fire from him made the wolf take a few steps back.

Finally, when the rounds in the pistols were exhausted again, he swapped out the pistol for his knife.

Amidst the smoke from the shots and the dark fog, Alex lunged at the wolf from its front.

The wolf swiped its claw at him but he leapt into the air in the nick of time.

His movements were too swift for the wolf and when he landed, he was on the neck of the wolf.

The wolf tried to snap at him with its fangs by turning its head but couldn’t.

Then, it started to run around in circles while it tried to get at him.

Alex held onto the fur of the wolf with one hand and he moved forward with the knife in the other.

He stabbed the knife into the eye of the wolf and the eyeball of the wolf was crushed by the sharp blade of the knife.

But that was not the end of it.

He plunged the blade of the knife deeper and twisted it.

The pain caused the wolf to give out a whimper and it ran into the dark fog trying to make Alex fall onto the ground.

Alex held on tight and narrowed his eyes.

With the other students away from him, it was a great opportunity to try out what he had in mind.
