With a determined expression on her face, Ivy walked out of the warehouse to meet the other survivors, who had already begun setting up camp outside to rest.

It had been a long and exhausting day. After everything that had happened, everyone desperately needed a break. Ivy made her way toward the truck, where she had decided to spend the night alongside Darren.

The next morning arrived swiftly, with the rising sun casting its soft rays over the quiet compound.

It wasn’t as though everyone had enjoyed a peaceful night’s sleep. The survivors had taken turns standing guard throughout the night, remaining alert for any possible danger. Even those who were supposed to be resting had slept lightly, unable to completely let their guards down in such an uncertain environment. As soon as dawn broke, everyone was already awake and preparing for the journey ahead.

"Alright, it’s time to leave," one of the base leaders announced loudly while the members of his base climbed into the truck and made their final preparations.

"Thank you so much, Captain Ivy!" the other base leaders chorused in unison, bowing their heads deeply in respect.

Ivy simply gave them a small nod in acknowledgment.

"Safe journey, everyone," she said calmly.

The base leaders nodded respectfully before climbing into their respective trucks. One after another, the heavy vehicles rumbled to life, their engines roaring as they slowly drove out of the warehouse compound.

Before long, only Ivy and the members of the Fierce Hunter Base remained behind, along with two other bases that were still busy loading sacks of grain onto their trucks, Anya’s base included.

"We should help you load your grain onto your truck now," Erick said as he walked over, his expression serious. "You refused yesterday, but I believe it’s finally time to load everything so we can leave."

"There’s no need for that," Ivy replied without the slightest hesitation. "I’ll have to come back and collect everything later."

Her words immediately sent waves of confusion through Erick.

There’s no way I can use my Space Ability while all of you are standing here, Ivy thought inwardly, suppressing a sigh. Only Darren knows about it. The fewer people who know my secret, the better.

"You’ll come back?" Erick repeated, raising an eyebrow before letting out an incredulous scoff. "Are you serious right now?"

He folded his arms across his chest, staring at her as though she had just said something completely absurd.

"The journey between this warehouse and our base isn’t exactly short," he continued. "It’s going to take a considerable amount of time. Why would you leave all your grain behind? Aren’t you worried someone else might discover this place and steal everything before you return?"

His gaze shifted toward the warehouse. "After all, this isn’t a small amount," he added. "It’s enough food to keep an entire base alive for a very long time. Anyone who stumbles across this warehouse would be tempted to take it."

Ivy remained perfectly calm despite Erick’s concerns. "I know what I’m doing," she replied confidently, her tone leaving no room for argument. "No one is going to take what’s mine."

Although her words sounded simple, they carried an unquestionable confidence that made Erick stare at her for several seconds. For some reason, he couldn’t tell whether she was simply overconfident... or whether she genuinely had another plan that none of them knew about.

"Don’t worry about that, Commander Erick. If Captain Ivy says she wants to do something a certain way, then she definitely has her reasons." Darren chimed in before Erick could say anything else. "Captain Ivy and I will definitely come back to get our grains. There’s no need to trouble the Fiercehunter Base any further."

"Alright then." Erick finally said as he let out a helpless sigh before giving a slight bow. "Whatever you say."

"Alright, everyone, let’s move out!" Ivy called out loudly.

Without another word, everyone climbed into their respective trucks. Engines roared to life one after another before the convoy slowly pulled away from the warehouse, leaving behind nothing but tire tracks and drifting dust.
