Armed Train in the Apocalypse
Chapter 952: All Rivers Flow to the Sea (Part 8)
“It’s not a problem, but do we have that much material?” Su Huan felt a bit doubtful.
Now that the Armed Train has cleared the way, there’s no need for a phase four renovation to break through the Celestial Disaster Zone, but at least there should be a foundation for phase two renovation. Can the small outposts left by the train suffice?
“Various forces will provide materials, technology, and security along the way, so there’s not much of a problem. However, there are some forces you need to negotiate with personally, such as the Steel Council.”
Su Huan raised an eyebrow, “Oh, they’re still around?”
“They’ve renamed it to Chuanto New City, considered a major power gatekeeper. They still have some influence in the Acid Rain Zone.”
The person opposite, He Jie, was quite nostalgic as well.
“Negotiation isn’t a problem. You know, what I’m best at is negotiation, but…” Su Huan’s smile gradually flattened, “Their noble character makes me quite skeptical.”
He believed in the brilliance of individuals at a moment’s notice because he had seen it with his own eyes, but never in collectives.
Including those blocked in the Eternal Night by the military, that was also the will of a few, while the others were limited by the Eternal Night, forced to remain there.
He Jie sneered, “Noble my ass, they’re afraid. According to the information you provided, they’ve reached a consensus that the Otherworld invaders want our world, not us! Once the blockade is breached, everyone will be doomed!”
“They have no choice but to stand up, or else when the invaders come in, the first ones they’ll kill would be them!”
Listening to He Jie’s rough explanation, Su Huan smiled. If you wrap this essence with a layer of nobility, he could barely accept it.
“The Rule Stone of Extreme Cold has been found. When will you come back?”
Su Huan glanced at the blazing bright sky outside the window, “There’s still three more.”
The Rule Stone of Storm has been prepared by Li Xinlong. He now owns seven stones: Extreme Cold, Metal, Fear, Gravity, Enlightenment, Storm, and Energy. Ah Duo in the Flood Zone has the Life Stone, which she found while fishing near the Acid Rain Zone.
Su Huan suspected it’s the stone that fell when he excavated Crown Pear Mountain, washed into the Flood Zone.
There should be one in the High Temperature Zone and one in the Eternal Night Zone, adding up to ten.
But according to Yu Yao, twelve rules are needed to mend the Otherworld passage.
Which means there are still two stones hidden in the regions.
On this trip, his main goal is to find the stone in the High Temperature Zone, as well as the two hidden Rule Stones.
…
“November 6, 2040, Storm.”
“The seed has been planted; what form it grows into is the tree’s own business.”
“That boy, who was moping around saying he’d support his mother, did pretty well…”
Su Huan put down the journal, looking at the base surrounded by windbreak columns below, a hint of a smile appeared on his lips.
“Why are you smiling when writing a diary…”
Unable to hold it anymore, Ma Hongyu spoke, halfway through he seemed to remember something, then swallowed the rest of his words, looking visibly uncomfortable.
Su Huan closed the journal, tucked it into his chest, and turned to look warmly at Ma Hongyu, “Ah Duo and I will go down once, you keep an eye on the Storm Stone.”
Ma Hongyu just wanted to make a sarcastic comment, only to see the Storm Stone floating nearby suddenly rush towards him. His pupils slightly expanded, before he could react, the ton of weight brutally caressed his face, like a comet streaking across the sky, crashing into the wilderness.
Ah Duo, nearby, couldn’t help but laugh, but collected herself before the train conductor’s peripheral vision swept over.
Su Huan indeed became much gentler, but that didn’t mean the mischievous traits he’d developed over his life didn’t exist.
Currently, there was someone who once bore most of his maliciousness, awakening a slight tremor in his long-quiet heart, he couldn’t resist giving Ma Hongyu a taste.
Compared to Zhijin, Black Kite’s base was much more serious, with no massive influx of population, and no wild apocalypse architecture. As Su Huan and Ah Duo appeared in mid-air, they were immediately noticed.
…
Wang Qi walked through the corridor with a gloomy expression. Ever since Miss Shu ascended three years ago, his situation has been far from good.
Tang Zhan is not only a Golden Kite but also a Tier Three Evolver, no matter how unpopular he is, he won’t be marginalized much. But Wang Qi is different; he’s still a Tier One Evolver, far from reaching Tier Two. Those damn lab Butchers even said he lacks potential to advance to Tier Two!
Using the excuse of inadequate Life Force to fool him.
Simply treating him like a fool!
He’s only thirty-two years old, he could live for at least another fifty-sixty years, how could he have inadequate Life Force?
And that bitch Shu Wei, dared to send him, a dignified Silver Kite and middle manager, to guard the gate for three whole years, closing off all his chances for promotion!
Why did that bitch have to come back alive?!
It’s all because of that damned train conductor, the adulterous pair should have died in the disaster, eaten clean by zombies!
The sixth job transfer application being returned, Wang Qi cursed in rage inside.
The guards on either side immediately perked up to salute him. Being reprimanded by other officers at most meant some scolding, but if Wang Qi caught them, they might very well be kicked out of the team. Even if Wang Qi was relegated, he’s still Silver Kite, having absolute authority over these ordinary security personnel.
Just then, the alarm suddenly sounded, everyone instinctively looked at him.
Another clueless scavenger.
Unable to dissipate his anger, Wang Qi revealed a vicious expression, “Listen to my orders, this time give these lowlives an unforgettable lesson!”
