I don’t know what method Feng Gang used last night to persuade Ning Anran.

Anyway, Ning Anran not only didn’t move out of Sihai Residence, but even got up early this morning to accompany grandfather for breakfast.

Seeing Ning Anran sitting by the dining table, Baili Xia wasn’t actually very surprised.

After all, last night when she clamored to leave, Baili Xia could tell that she actually didn’t want to leave Sihai Residence at all.

Uncle’s answer last night was also ambiguous, and it’s unclear how grandfather conveyed the message to Ning Anran.

All that is known is that today, seeing Ning Anran, she was all smiles, looking very pleased with herself.

Of course, the smile on Ning Anran’s face disappeared immediately upon seeing Baili Xia.

“Xiaxia, you’re down?

I…

I came to have breakfast with grandfather, and I’ll leave right after, I won’t stay here.”

“…” Baili Xia really didn’t feel like speaking; she never said that Anran couldn’t stay here, did she?

Seeing Ning Anran’s anxious and fearful demeanor, grandfather was somewhat helpless.

This child has suffered too much hardships; why does she always feel inferior to others?

Xiaxia is her friend, but in this home, in front of Xiaxia, she always feels humble.

Such a well-mannered and humble girl made grandfather’s heart ache even more.

“Please sit down, grandfather has said, treat this place like your own home. Don’t my words count?”

He then glanced at Baili Xia, who had walked over.

Although his deepest affection was for her, An Ran also tugged at his heartstrings.

Xiaxia has everything, whereas An Ran has nothing, and comparatively, it seemed that he felt even more sympathy for Ning Anran.

“Xiaxia, An Ran is your friend, be kind to her,” he said softly.

Although there was little reproach in his words, it was still uncomfortable to hear.

However, Baili Xia kept a neutral expression, with a gentle smile still in her eyes.

“Grandfather, I haven’t been unkind to her. I have always invited An Ran to live with me so we can chat and laugh with you whenever we want. It’s just that An Ran was afraid it might inconvenience you, so she didn’t agree.”

She was still holding Zimo’s hand, and both grandfather and Ning Anran clearly noticed Zimo, but because of what Baili Xia said, they both seemed thoughtful.

Even the sudden presence of a strange girl in the house went unnoticed by grandfather.

Turning back to Ning Anran, grandfather said with a smile, “So An Ran also thought about moving into the main house, why didn’t you tell me directly?”

He couldn’t have been happier about this.

For some reason, he especially liked Ning Anran, always feeling…

as if he could find a long-lost sense of intimacy in her.

Knowing that Ning Anran was willing to move into the main house, he didn’t want to wait a moment longer, and immediately waved Feng Gang over.

“Feng, quickly get someone to prepare a room for An Ran so she can move into the main house.”

“Grandfather…” Ning Anran looked uneasy, her emotions indescribably complex.

“Don’t worry, how could grandfather find it inconvenient?

I couldn’t be happier.”

Grandfather patted the back of her hand, still urging Feng Gang, “Tell the servants to be quick about it.”

“Sure, Mr.

Feng,” Feng Gang nodded, smiling, and asked, “So, does Miss An Ran want to stay on the second floor, or on the first floor, living together with grandfather?”

Of course, by living together, he meant having adjacent rooms.

It seems grandfather really likes Ning Anran, and there are many vacant rooms on the first floor.
