As soon as Feng Gang finished speaking, Baili Xia said with a smile, “An Ran certainly loves to be with Grandpa, haven’t you seen how well they get along?”

“Indeed, An Ran and I really hit it off,” the old man chuckled.

Looking at Ning Anran, he asked with a smile, “An Ran, you won’t despise this old man, will you?”

“How… how could I? I’m too fond of Grandpa to ever despise him.”

Ning Anran’s smile was uglier than crying; she really didn’t want to move out of Sihai Residence.

Once out of Sihai Residence, it would be even harder to see Mr.

Xiaojiu.

But, how could she refuse under these circumstances?

For the moment, she couldn’t think of any excuse to refuse.

Her mournful gaze couldn’t help but turn towards Baili Xia.

Although she didn’t say anything, that resentful glance already said a lot.

She really didn’t understand why Xiaxia had to make things difficult for her, why harm her?

She had never thought of competing with her for anything; does that mean she’s not even allowed to secretly glance at Mr.

Xiaojiu from the shadows?

Ning Anran’s mournful eyes were simply ignored by Baili Xia.

Seeing Feng Gang had indeed ordered someone to pack for Ning Anran, she smiled slightly, knowing this was settled.

She pulled Zimo over to the old man and said with a smile, “Grandpa, this is my friend, her name is Zimo.”

“Hello, Sir Mu,” said Zimo, neither humble nor arrogant.

Sir Mu nodded his head, in a good mood, happy to see everyone.

He glanced at the dining chairs not far away and chuckled, “Let’s all sit down and eat first before talking.”

Baili Xia led Zimo to sit down.

Zimo glanced at Ning Anran, who was clearly in a bad mood and ignored her.

Zimo had to give up the idea of greeting her and didn’t bother.

It was obvious that just now Ning Anran was deliberately making things difficult for Xiaxia.

Ning Anran had never been such a humble and weak character; those actions and words just now, even Zimo could see were false.

No wonder Xiaxia, who always advises against making enemies, couldn’t help setting her up.

But why does Ning Anran always want to stay at that place called Sihai Residence?

If she wanted to stay with the Mu family and continue to please the old man, wouldn’t it be better to live in the main house?

As for their friendship with Ning Anran, come if there’s agreement, go if there isn’t; false friendships are not worth keeping.

The servant served breakfast, and after a while, Mu Lingchuan also came down.

Seeing Mu Lingchuan, Zimo stood up out of habit and called out, “Mr.

Mu.”

“Consider yourself at home here, there’s no need to keep calling me Mr.

Mu in places outside of the company.”

Mu Lingchuan walked over, intending to sit next to Zimo.

But Baili Xia caught his eye, “Big brother, that’s not your seat.”

Zimo already sat back down and quietly started eating.

Mu Lingchuan glared at Baili Xia, his eyes revealing some resentment, “Since when do we have assigned seats in our family?”

Baili Xia wondered if she had seen it wrong, was her big brother resenting her for not letting him sit there?

“But you are used to it, aren’t you? Your seat is across there,” she pointed to the opposite spot.

Mu Lingchuan resignedly stretched his long legs and moved back to his own place.

Then, he turned his head to look at the old man and called out, “Grandpa.”

“Let’s eat,” the old man nodded.

Mu Lingchuan picked up his coffee cup and took a sip,

his gaze still involuntarily looking towards Zimo sitting opposite, that glance resembling a lascivious stare.

Zimo in clothes…

seemed pretty good-looking too.
