Bei Tianyou is coming back?

Upon hearing Baili Xia talking on the phone with Bei Tianyou, Nangong Yun’s expression instantly darkened.

If Bei Tianyou is coming back now, no matter how bold she is, it wouldn’t be wise to deal with his mother in front of his face.

At the very least, she’d have to save some face for the eldest son of Bei Family.

But, Baili Xia?

Why is she here?

Nangong Yun abandoned Tao and Tang Jixin and turned around to glare at Baili Xia, who had just walked into the hall: “Why are you here?”

“I came with my master to treat the Old Madam’s headache.” Baili Xia curled her lips, her smile indifferent.

Nangong Yun’s fingers tightened, and she turned her head to glance aside.

The subordinate beside her immediately lowered his head and said, “It’s true.”

Nangong Yun sneered coldly, her expression growing even more unpleasant.

Since Baili Xia’s here as the Old Madam’s guest, she couldn’t openly do anything to her.

But to simply let Baili Xia, this shameless woman, go without teaching her a lesson—it was a thought she couldn’t swallow.

Suddenly, her brows eased slightly, and her hand dropped to the bundle of white fur in her arms, rubbing it gently.

“Xue’er, now that we’re back, you must behave and not run around everywhere, alright?”

“I know you’re mischievous, but don’t be too mischievous, okay? Keep those claws to yourself, and make sure you don’t scratch anyone’s face—especially those filthy faces, you hear me?”

Unexpectedly, before Nangong Yun could finish her words, the creature that had been quietly lying in her arms moments ago, Xue’er, suddenly darted out.

The speed of the snow mink was unbelievably fast.

After leaping out of Nangong Yun’s embrace, in a flash, it lunged directly toward Baili Xia.

Its target was clearly her face!

“Miss Xiaxia, watch out!” Tao, still kneeling on the ground, screamed uncontrollably in fright.

However, Baili Xia remained calm as ever, quietly standing in place.

Tao was almost terrified out of her wits.

Miss Xiaxia—was she struck dumb with fear?

She wasn’t even trying to dodge!

Did she even know how vicious Miss Yun’s snow mink, Xue’er, could be?

Nangong Yun’s lips curved into a smile once again, a poisonous gleam hidden within her elegant expression.

Xue’er, go ahead and shred that vile woman Baili Xia’s face to ribbons.

After all, it’s just a little creature—a being without humanity.

Even if it makes a mistake, it’s just being a bit naughty.

Who would blame a mere creature?

Seeing that Baili Xia’s face was about to be ruined by the snow mink’s claws, even those watching around couldn’t help but avert their gaze in discomfort.

Standing beside Nangong Yun, Nangong Qingqing was so tense that she clenched her fists tightly, her lips turning pale from biting them.

But at the very moment everyone’s focus was on the mink, the snow mink, which was about to touch Baili Xia, suddenly hesitated mid-air.

Somehow, it lost its balance and landed with a thud near Baili Xia’s feet.

The snow mink… it toppled over, fainting instantly!

This unexpected twist left everyone present completely stunned, unable to comprehend what had just happened.

Nangong Yun had been too absorbed in her delight to notice exactly what occurred.

She only realized that Baili Xia’s face was still unharmed, while her snow mink had fainted!

“Xue’er!” Nangong Yun snapped out of her daze, visibly startled.

Her so-called grace vanished completely as she rushed forward.

Bending down, she scooped up the snow mink from the ground, rocking it gently.

The mink’s eyes remained shut, its chest still faintly heaving with breaths—it had merely passed out.

Nangong Yun let out a sharp breath, her relief morphing into fury as she turned her enraged eyes toward Baili Xia: “What did you do to it?!”
