“This is Mr. Feng Jin’s courtyard, Jin Ye Pavilion.” Tao noticed Baili Xia constantly glancing at the grand gate of Jin Ye Pavilion and swiftly slowed the car down.

Looking at the plaque of Jin Ye Pavilion, Tao introduced, “Mr. Feng Jin prefers peace and quiet, doesn’t like socializing much, especially not with outsiders…”

At this point, she couldn’t resist sneaking a glance at Baili Xia, unsure whether to continue speaking.

“It’s fine, I’m just listening. Share what you can, and feel free to skip what you can’t.”

Baili Xia wore an understanding expression and smiled at her.

Her easygoing manner left Tao feeling a bit awkward, as if she had been overly cautious.

“It’s not really about what can or can’t be said.

It’s just that talking about the gentlemen behind their backs really isn’t proper.”

Just as Baili Xia was about to assure her not to worry, Tao unexpectedly leaned closer and lowered her voice, saying, “But I like you, so if you want to know something, just ask.”

Seeing her wink slyly, Baili Xia suddenly grew excited and immediately asked, “I heard that Mr.

Feng Jin was once the most handsome man in Bei Miao.”

“Pfft!” Tao couldn’t help but cover her mouth and laugh, apparently not expecting her to bring up this topic.

“So Miss Xiaxia is quite keen on handsome men too, huh? Hehe.”

Baili Xia blinked and played along with her teasing.

“Handsome men—especially the most handsome man in all of Bei Miao—how could I not be interested?”

Tugging lightly on Tao’s sleeve, she leaned closer to her, “Come on, Tao, tell me just how handsome this Mr.

Feng Jin really is.”

The title of “Bei Miao’s most handsome man” isn’t something easily earned.

In fact, it was only this Mr.

Feng Jin who had ever received it, and since then, no one had claimed the title again.

All these years later, Bei Feng Jin is much older now—he must be around forty this year.

While he may no longer be young, the remarkable thing is that, after him, no one else has ever been worthy of being named the most handsome man in Bei Miao.

It can only be said that his stunningly handsome looks back then were beyond anything a mere mortal could achieve.

Although she asked the question casually, Baili Xia was indeed curious about this extraordinary man.

“Very handsome.” Tao replied firmly, her tone unshakable, “So handsome it’s beyond your imagination.”

Baili Xia shot her a skeptical glance, half-convinced and half-doubting.

She had seen plenty of handsome men—truly a great many of them—including her uncle, who was naturally gifted with unrivaled looks.

If another unimaginably handsome man were to appear now, she genuinely couldn’t fathom just how dazzlingly good-looking someone had to be to warrant the phrase “beyond your imagination.”

Unable to help herself, she cast another glance toward Jin Ye Pavilion.

“Stop looking; Mr. Feng Jin doesn’t come out much.”

Tao also directed her gaze toward the gate of Jin Ye Pavilion, her expression carrying a hint of helplessness.

“He wouldn’t even attend Old Madam or Master’s grand birthday celebrations.

The last time I saw him was two years ago.”

“Two years!” Baili Xia was taken aback, her eyes widening instantly.

“How long have you been working for the Bei Family?”

“I’ve been with the Old Madam since I was very young—it’s been over ten years now if you count.” Tao answered without any hesitation.

Seeing that she seemed incredulous, Tao pursed her lips and added, “You can ask other servants; see if any of them have run into Mr.

Feng Jin recently.”

“Oh, by the way, you might as well ask the servants who directly attend to Mr.

Feng Jin.

I bet even those who work daily in Jin Ye Pavilion don’t see him every day.”
