Although Baili Xia still couldn’t make sense of it, how could she pass up such a great opportunity?

She immediately scooped up the remaining ice cream in the cup and stuffed it into her mouth.

Putting down the spoon, she stood up.

Mu Xiaoyao also stood up, following her lead.

The two of them walked to the center of the hall, greeting Mu Xiaojiu, Old Madam, Bei Tianyou, and the others before excusing themselves.

Baili Xia had genuinely worried Mu Xiaojiu might stop them.

But unexpectedly, he just casually nodded, not making things difficult for them.

Baili Xia breathed a sigh of relief and hurriedly left the venue with Mu Xiaoyao, heading towards the quiet Bi Luo Pavilion in the backyard.

Soon, they left the bustling crowd behind and returned to the serenity of Bi Luo Pavilion.

Walking across the courtyard of Bi Luo Pavilion, Baili Xia tilted her head to look at the man walking beside her, still feeling a stomach full of grievances.

“Why did you insist on pushing me toward Uncle earlier? I didn’t want to see him!”

Mu Xiaoyao moved his lips, unsure of how to explain.

Instead, he shoved his hands into his pockets and decided not to say anything.

Seeing him act like this, Baili Xia grew even angrier.

He did something wrong, and now he wasn’t even acknowledging it.

How could someone behave so outrageously?

Walking into the main hall of Bi Luo Pavilion, they crossed the hall and went upstairs.

After entering the room, Baili Xia intended to slam the door shut forcefully.

But unexpectedly, Mu Xiaoyao didn’t wait outside for her to change clothes; instead, with a stride of his long legs, he followed her inside.

The heavy door slammed onto his leg with a bang.

Startled, Baili Xia quickly turned around, her gaze falling on his leg, which had been struck by the door.

“Are you okay? Did you get hurt? Let me see, hurry!”

The door hit him so hard—it must’ve caused an injury.

Please, let it not be a bone fracture!

Baili Xia was truly consumed by regret.

If she had known this would happen, she wouldn’t have slammed the door with such force earlier.

What if her Brother got seriously hurt?

Mu Xiaoyao said nothing, simply lowering his eyes to look at her.

He hadn’t expected this little girl to show such concern for him.

This much, at least, made him feel satisfied.

“Brother, take off your pants; let me check,” Baili Xia urged anxiously.

“Not taking them off.” The man, though secretly warmed by her concern, firmly guarded his dignity.

“Why won’t you take them off…” The thought made Baili Xia’s cheeks instantly flush red.

Take them off?

If he did, there would only be a little bit of… well, nothing left.

“Alright, then let me see if I can roll up your pant leg. Sit down.”

Casual pants are so snug; it wasn’t certain she could roll up the pant leg.

Mu Xiaoyao simply waved his hand.

“No need. Nothing’s hurt.”

Instead of bothering with his pants, he rolled up his own sleeve and extended his strong arm toward her.

“What are you doing?

Did your arm get hurt too?

The door didn’t hit your arm…”

“Go ahead, bite me a few times—take out your anger.” He recalled what he’d said back at the party: that after they got home, she could vent her frustrations however she wanted.

Baili Xia remembered that too.

Indeed, when he forced her to confront Uncle earlier, he did say something along those lines.

“You’re serious about letting me bite you?” Thinking about it again made the fire inside her stomach rage even more.

“I’ll really do it. Don’t expect me to hold back.”

Mu Xiaoyao said not a word.

He’d already offered his arm—why was she still overthinking this?

If she was going to bite him, then bite him.

If not, he would take his arm back.

Baili Xia glanced at him again.

This time, she wrapped her hands around his arm and, sure enough, sank her teeth into it hard.

Serves him right for disregarding her wishes and forcing her to do things she didn’t want to!

Serves him right for always listening to Uncle and never caring about her!

Serves him right for being awful!

For teaming up with Uncle to bully her!

Serves him right for not standing by her side, leaving her to fight alone until now!
