Mu Xiaojiu really isn’t skilled with tools like hoes.

However, when it comes to starting a fire, that’s a different story.

You could say Mr.

Xiaojiu is incredibly adept at fire-starting, to a degree that no one can match!

Don’t doubt Mr.

Xiaojiu’s abilities; just looking at the towering flames in the yard now, you know how formidable this man is…

“Fire!” Baili Xia finally noticed, staring at the large blaze for quite a while before finally remembering to call for help from the villagers.

Mu Xiaojiu had already picked up a bucket to fight the fire, but the small river was too far from their house, and the water from the tap flowed too slowly.

He had only rushed over with two buckets of water, yet in such a short time, the fire had almost reached an uncontrollable level.

The villagers were all elderly but truly impressive when it came to working.

As soon as Baili Xia cried for help, the surrounding villagers were already rushing to the distant small river with buckets in hand.

This fire took everyone a good half an hour to finally put out.

Fortunately, once the villagers saw Mu Xiaojiu’s face, the resentment in their hearts completely dissipated.

Such a face, even covered in soot from fighting the fire and not as clean, yet still captivates everyone.

Being handsome has its perks; at least mistakes don’t get you scolded.

“Little girl, if you don’t have anything to eat tonight, come to our house,” Mrs.

Hong said.

Mrs.

Hong looked at Mu Xiaojiu, who was covered in dirt, and couldn’t bear to let the child struggle anymore.

Baili Xia certainly didn’t want to keep struggling either, seeing Uncle’s exhausted appearance.

But just as she was about to happily accept, Mu Xiaojiu said lightly, “We’ll cook for ourselves.”

Mrs.

Hong, helpless, had to repeatedly remind them to be careful and then returned to her home next door with the bucket.

Baili Xia glanced at Mu Xiaojiu without saying anything and walked into the house.

She took a towel out and used the remaining cool water in the bucket to wipe the dirt off his face.

“Not going to other houses, what are we having for dinner?” she asked while wiping his face.

“You’re all I need to eat,” Mu Xiaojiu stared at her, somehow looking quite serious.

Baili Xia really wanted to glare at him hard, but seeing his soot-covered appearance actually made her feel pity.

No matter the grievances, she could only clean him up first.

“So what am I going to eat?” she couldn’t resist complaining.

Unexpectedly, Mu Xiaojiu’s eyes suddenly sparkled evilly, sweeping over her.

“What are you doing?” Baili Xia immediately became defensive.

That gaze…

was just too wicked!

“Don’t you always feel full after eating me?”

Mu Xiaojiu suddenly grabbed her with a big hand, pulling her back as she tried to escape.

He lowered his head, his thin lips approaching her earlobe, gently nibbling on it.

The warm breath scattered, making her skin tingle with heat.

“Are you really hungry?

If so, let me feed you now.”

“Pervert!” Baili Xia reached out and punched him hard on the chest.

This bastard, who cares about him?

Whatever, even if he’s hungry, it’s his problem!

“You may not care about me, but I can’t ignore you.” Mu Xiaojiu pulled her back again.

“If you don’t feed me, I’ll feed you.

I’ll definitely make sure you’re full.”

Before she could curse, he smiled, “If once isn’t enough, then twice; if twice can’t do it, then three times!”
