Chapter 1415

Seeing Baili Xia’s confused expression, Bei Tianyou began to explain to her.

“The competition will change to a team format, with one person leading a team of thirty in the competition. However, the specific competition content has not been finalized yet.”

Baili Xia felt relieved; the Old Madam had considered Bei Tianyou’s difficulties.

His subordinates kept encountering problems one after another.

If it remained a three-person competition, Bei Tianyou would definitely be at a disadvantage.

But changing to a thirty-person team competition would reduce the impact of individual factors.

No matter how reckless the person behind the scenes was, it wouldn’t be possible to destroy all the participants one by one.

Moreover, the training under Bei Tianyou’s leadership had always emphasized team spirit.

With the competition rules altered like this, it was definitely advantageous for him.

But why did he need to discuss with the Old Madam?

The competition involving the Security Department was related to the Bei Family’s safety.

Shouldn’t it be discussed with the Old Master?

Though there were some doubts in her heart, it wasn’t appropriate to ask directly.

Baili Xia thought for a moment and gently said, “In that case, Brother You, you don’t have to worry so much anymore. Can the competition details be confirmed after consulting the Old Madam?”

Bei Tianyou nodded slightly, understanding the implication in her words, and did not hide anything.

“Yes, the Miao Domain is actually under the Old Madam’s control, and she decides all the major and minor matters.”

Baili Xia was surprised; she didn’t expect the actual situation of the Miao Domain to be like this.

“Then, what about the Old Master? If the Miao Domain is under the Old Madam’s control, what is the Old Master’s status there?”

A trace of melancholy flashed in Bei Tianyou’s eyes, and his voice turned somewhat solemn.

“Grandfather is not in good health, and can only live a life like wandering clouds and wild cranes. It’s better for his health this way.”

Baili Xia observed all of this and suspected there might be underlying issues.

Since Bei Tianyou didn’t speak further, she decided not to pursue the matter.

But it was apparent; she could feel the change in Bei Tianyou’s tone and demeanor when speaking about the Old Master.

He showed genuine respect for the Old Master from the bottom of his heart, but for the Old Madam, it seemed… more about acceptance.

A feeling akin to receiving orders…

She gathered her thoughts and redirected the conversation back to the competition.

“So that’s how it is; it’s all for the best now. With a thirty-person team competition, it’s perfect for Fan Yi to lead the team.”

Bei Tianyou looked at her and said calmly.

“Indeed, Fan Yi’s skills are much better than the three people initially selected.

He has always trained his brothers, so with him leading the team, it will be easier for us.”

“Actually, I was also considering earlier having him participate to fill a spot, but at that time, choosing three people was to guard against any eventualities.”

“Now that the competition format has changed, those considerations are no longer important.”

Baili Xia nodded heavily.

She had always been worried about the competition for Bei Tianyou.

At this moment, she finally exhaled a sigh of relief.

Not only had the initial competition worries been resolved, but with someone like Fan Yi leading the team to participate, the chances seemed even stronger.

Seeing Baili Xia’s relaxed expression, his heart warmed.

These days, the girl had done more than enough for him.

She had helped him spontaneously, without expecting anything in return, purely out of genuine sincerity.

Such true friendship was something he had never encountered in his life until now.

Though he usually remained detached and wouldn’t show his emotions, he noticed all of this.

His lips curved upward slightly again as he looked at Baili Xia, and he gently asked, “Where have you been these days? I haven’t seen you around.”
