Be Gentle, My Master
Chapter 1604: Sudden Collapse
Baili Xia immediately stood up, moved to the other side of the elderly man, and supported his arm.
“I, I’m very dizzy.” The old man suddenly seemed to have difficulty speaking, lacking strength in his voice.
His lips even turned a bit pale, and fine beads of sweat seeped from his forehead.
Baili Xia had studied medicine.
Although she didn’t know what was wrong with the elderly man, she realized something was amiss.
“This is bad, quick, go call the doctor.”
Baili Xia was the first to react, speaking urgently.
Feng Gang was momentarily stunned but then reacted, quickly turning and walking out while instructing Baili Xia.
“The master might be having a heart attack, don’t move him.”
After saying this, he hurriedly left the side hall.
The elderly man by this time had completely fainted, his eyes tightly closed, lips pale, and jaw clenched.
Judging by his symptoms and Baili Xia’s medical knowledge, it didn’t seem like a heart problem, but rather more like poisoning.
But whether it was a heart attack or poisoning, he probably couldn’t hold on much longer.
Baili Xia hurriedly reached into her pocket, pulled out her acupuncture kit, opened it, and took out a few silver needles.
She wiped them with cotton, and her hands moved quickly, piercing the old man’s chest.
No matter what, first protect the heart meridian.
After the needles were inserted, the old man seemed to be much more comfortable, his jaw no longer clenching as tightly.
Feng Gang soon returned with the doctor, who noticed the silver needles in the old man’s chest and a hint of doubt flashed in his eyes.
He glanced at Baili Xia, but with the doctor present, he dared not say anything.
The doctor opened the old man’s eyes to examine them, then pried open his mouth to look at his tongue, and said in a deep voice, “Let’s move him back to his room first, then conduct a thorough examination.”
“Isn’t it risky to move him…” Feng Gang expressed concern.
“It’s fine, the silver needles are protecting the master’s heart meridian, there won’t be any danger for now,” the doctor replied.
As he spoke, he glanced at Baili Xia.
Being in the Mu Mansion, he recognized Baili Xia, but didn’t expect her acupuncture skills to be so impressive, able to protect the master’s heart meridian in such an emergency.
If Baili Xia hadn’t promptly acted the way she did, the master’s situation might have been very dire by now.
Feng Gang was also slightly shocked.
He had initially intended to reprimand Baili Xia for rashly performing acupuncture on the master before the doctor arrived.
But he hadn’t anticipated the immense effect of these few needles!
The student taught by Nangong Xu truly lives up to the reputation!
With a touch of apology in his heart, he nodded slightly toward Baili Xia.
Baili Xia, however, didn’t mind.
She had seen Feng Gang’s heartfelt concern for the master clearly.
He was only worried about the old man.
After Feng Gang and the doctor carried the old man back to his room, they stepped outside and waited with Baili Xia.
A short while later, Mu Dongyu rushed over.
Seeing Feng Gang, he urgently asked, “What happened to Dad?”
Feng Gang bowed and replied, “I don’t know either. After lunch, the master suddenly fell ill, and now the doctor is inside checking.”
When Feng Gang went out to find the doctor earlier, he had already instructed the servants to inform the members of the Mu family about the master’s condition.
Just as Feng Gang was explaining the situation to Mu Dongyu, Ning Anran, Mu Xiaoyao, Mu Lingchuan, and Zimo all returned together.
When everyone arrived, Feng Gang simply repeated what he had just explained to Mu Dongyu.
After hearing the account, everyone contemplated why the old man had suddenly become like this.
Previously, his health seemed fine, why had it suddenly become so severe?
Was it a heart attack, or could there be something else going on?
